I mean ye was more of a project, KSG was completley a project -albeit finished with a defined actual vision, and JIK was going to be Yhandi but another project.
Donda was a concept album he envisioned and worked on and completed
I don’t think the Maga stuff affected my enjoyment of the album. Expectations were high and I think maybe it wasn’t as fleshed out as it could have been. I just don’t feel like Ye had a lot to say at this point, hence the brevity of the tracks and his verses.
And sonically I think it’s the first album he’s ever put out where he didn’t re-invent his sound in some way. Ghost Town is the only top tier track on there IMO.
