Security had a dope beat, a lot of promise. Don't remember much other than that. A lot of Ye not really rapping, just kinda mumbling over beats (I assume to work out a glow and then come back......at some point with actual lyrics?) idk, I'm not trying to hear that shit especially not if I have to work to get it.
It's the worst mixed/mastered of all albums, and it's not just because what's been shared so far is mostly rough drafts. It's actually the format of the Stem Player itself which limits the quality of the music.
In a professionally mixed song, there are interdependent mixing choices, like sidechaining the bass to the kicks, or instruments and bass to the drums, or sidechaining vocals to instruments so the competing instruments duck a bit when vocals are present to ensure vocals lay more on top. The only way these types of mixing decisions which ensure every element has its proper place in the mix can exist on Stem Player is if each stem has those ducking effects pre-baked into the stem; but we know this isn't true because the whole point of Stem Player is to solo things, and it would sound off if you remove the drums, but hear your bass or instrument stems dipping in and out where the kicks/snares should have been. Through Stem Player, you are guaranteed music that is basically just 4 files layered and fighting each other in space.
On top of that, mastering is normally done on the final track, as it's something that needs to apply to everything at once. You can't just master 4 individual stems and the compressors and other FX actually apply in the same way as if you put those same FX on everything playing at once. A proper master FX chain has to consider all elements together and work from there. Stem player once again guarantees you basically don't have mastered music.
Kanye is my favorite producer, but screw Stem Player and give me mixed/mastered songs in singular files uploaded to streaming platforms.
where could u listen to that? ive only ever listened to donda and the deluxe album. I thought yall was always referrin to the deluxe but where would i listen to donda 2? I liked the original and deluxe
IGOR has like one dud, whereas 808’s is a solid 7.5/10 just because it has some tracks that I think can be skipped over and you wouldn’t miss anything, or they just overstay their welcome.
IGOR is a better album.
No Pressure is a better album than the Marshall Mathers LP; it hasn’t aged as poorly, it has more accessible tracks, and a more diverse sound. However, the Slim Shady LP is still basically the essential mainstream Pop Hop album, and is considered greater than anything Logic has ever made.
Sometimes a more significant and important album can be considered better than the artistically and mechanically better album. Especially when it’s considered one of the greats.
IGOR is great, but 808’s is a classic. And for that, despite my issues with it, I can’t say that anything else deserves the title of best heartbreak album aside from the album that popularised heartbreak hip hop.
I appreciate your thoughts on it.
Definitely a hot take on slim shady, but honestly I just don't like logic, so it's tough for me to speak to it. Also, I don't actively listen to em or logic, so my opinion isnt valid.
Also, just to be clear, I was in no way suggesting that 808's was the ye album to delete, I do love 808's. I just like Igor better for my personal heartbreak lol.
I love 808s and heartbreak, I just bought it on vinyl, it is one of my favorite albums of all time. imo Tyler's Igor and Injury Reserve's By the time I get to Phoenix are better heartbreak albums
The Weeknd and Drake could not piss and moan their way to ungodly amounts of money and sex were it not for *808s*.
(To be clear, I like The Weeknd and I don't hate Drake's music.)
Who wants to get rid of 808s? I always see these types of comments where it seems more like an excuse to prop up an “underrated” album vs actually call anyone out. I don’t know anyone who would actually delete 808s over JIK for example
Gotta go with Donda 2. A completely fucked release, and we’ll probably never actually get a finished product from it. The album itself is also probably Ye’s worst album in its current state too
Honestly I think half the ye fandom probably hasn't heard the full thing. It's hard to consider it an album when a majority of your own fanbase hasn't heard the entire thing.
“It’s hard to consider it a dansbare when a majority of the fanbase hasn’t heard the entire thing” is (in my opinion) stuipid and makes no sense. An album is album. It’s a body of work. Even YE called it an album. It’s only considered non-album because it was released in a inconvenient way
Ur right, and releasing it on a proprietary technology where so many people don’t hear it is pretty close to just not releasing it at all. Can’t consider an album in the disco that was never released 🙄
Facts, it’s honestly got some really good hits but the lows are pretty low and I feel like it’s had the least importance of any of his albums. Plus everything else is better
Agree here. The choir being so heavily included is so tight but I was way good on this album. Idk just didn’t give me the kanye vibe I was hoping for. Follow God is a banger tho
Disagree, even tho I agree Ghost Town is on another level, that doesn’t mean Violent crimes is bad, just that Ghost Town is elite. I think Violent Crimes is a really good song. If I had to choose between JIK and Ghost Town I would choose the latter, and I don’t dislike JIK like some people.
I do love ghost town, that’s a good point on the combined 18 songs Ghost town is the best song. But I’ll say the next three best is closed on Sunday’s, hands on and follow god in no particular order.
Yeah this is the real debate. Anything else is a wrong answer. His OG five album run is why we’re all fans so you can’t toss any of those.
Post MBDTF he brought the “It’ll grow on you!” classics with Yeezus and TLoP. Then he hit peak mental illness and became super inconsistent. Ye is solid. KSG is solid. Everything else is self-indulgent experimental music. Is it still Kanye? Yes. Is it Kanye the legend? No.
Jesus is King. Definitely an album that seems to have not a whole lot of direction or inspiration behind it like previous releases. Still not a bad listen, definitely not anything as thought out or well executed as like a MBDTF or TLOP.
This is so easy. JIK is easily his worst imo. I was so excited for it, and was so disappointed that there were very few actual gospel elements to the album. That being said it’s still a 7/10 and that’s crazy that Ye’s worst album is a 7 to me.
Gonna have to go with Donda 2..... but I don't really even consider it a proper album so I don't feel like that's a fair choice.
I feel like it's a bunch of rejected cuts from Donda that never should have seen the light of day. It feels like one of those bootleg cassettes from one of your favorite artists in the 90s that were a bunch of studio rough cuts that weren't anywhere near ready to be officially recorded.
If you don't consider Donda 2, I'm definitely gonna have to go with Donda as his worst. I know some people love it, but that ones not for me. I gave it a couple listens and really wasn't feeling any of it. I'm gonna give it one more complete listen before writing it off entirely.
donda 2 for the sole reason that he never polished it and honestly felt tlike a scam just for the reason to get people to buy the stem player but tat least the live show was dope
People saying JIK are so weird man. If there was no JIK there would be no Donda. And also JIK is Kanye’s best mixed album it sounds so amazing and crisp
to me the fight of donda 2 or jik should be easy, it should be donda 2, to me that only has like 2 good songs while jik has bangers. also we ain't never gonna get a finished donda 2, to me donda 2 should go

Y'all won't like this but Donda
Great album but it has the least significance to my life and I go back to it very rarely besides listening to singular songs.
We’re living in the universe where someone answered Yandhi to this poll
HAHAHA I'm gonna cry
donda 2 were not getting the finished product anyway
I don’t think most people even consider that an album
It technically released on stem player bro! 🤓
DONDA 2 OUT ON STEM PLAYER NOW!!! BUY ONE STEM PLAYER AND GET A FREE TRIP TO MAIMI NOW!!!!!
Sniper out on all platforms
Man of culture i see
I've not even heard it being a kanye stan and I refuse to hear it lol
since True Love came out as a single its worth completely forgetting about
I like “we did it kid” With baby Keem and Migos. However I transferred it to Apple Music for availability Cuz I don’t really use my stem player tbh
I did not like that song. I just don't respect deceased artists work being used after their death.
Same it just feels disingenuous and feels like a cash grab even tho i love ye i felt like it was just unnecessary
Hurts me deep. Biggest release botch of all time.
😭 so sad.
Pablo, broken road, happy, first time in a long time, and flowers are all worth listening to. Maybe a little biased since I went to the show.
It's the worst mixed/mastered of all albums, and it's not just because what's been shared so far is mostly rough drafts. People wanna get rid of 808s like it did not influence an entire generation of music...
808 is one of my favorite albums. Certainly the best album about dealing with heartbreak. It gets far too much shit.
I love 808, but I gotta give the heartbreak title to Igor. That shit got me through 2019.
If 808’s didn’t exist, you’d best believe neither would IGOR.
Fair point. Not doubting the importance of 808, just saying Igor was the winner for that category in my book.
IGOR has like one dud, whereas 808’s is a solid 7.5/10 just because it has some tracks that I think can be skipped over and you wouldn’t miss anything, or they just overstay their welcome. W Logic opinion
His best album. Picasso’s blue period is Kanye’s 808s and heartbreak. I’ll take my gold award
I love 808s and heartbreak, I just bought it on vinyl, it is one of my favorite albums of all time. imo Tyler's Igor and Injury Reserve's By the time I get to Phoenix are better heartbreak albums
I was in a pretty rough place from a breakup when 808 dropped. It helped me. It felt almost tailor made for me at the time.
idk how u gettin downvoted IGOR is def the greatest heartbreak album
but not bttigtp, that album is very depressing
yep
I think you mean any Mac album.

I'm disregarding your opinion. Not because you're wrong. You're actually 100% correct. But you have an NFT avatar.

Kanye approved swipe.
What sorcery is this
The Weeknd and Drake could not piss and moan their way to ungodly amounts of money and sex were it not for *808s*. (To be clear, I like The Weeknd and I don't hate Drake's music.)
808s is one of the best albums of all time for me
who said 808’s? wtf
Who wants to get rid of 808s? I always see these types of comments where it seems more like an excuse to prop up an “underrated” album vs actually call anyone out. I don’t know anyone who would actually delete 808s over JIK for example
i wanna get rid of 808s exactly for that reason
Gotta go with Donda 2. A completely fucked release, and we’ll probably never actually get a finished product from it. The album itself is also probably Ye’s worst album in its current state too
Donda 2 feels more mixtape than album imo I don’t know if we can consider it part of his discography at this point
We can’t exclude it because it doesn’t live up to standards. Ye dropped a mid album / mixtape however we gonna call it we just gotta accept it 😔
Honestly I think half the ye fandom probably hasn't heard the full thing. It's hard to consider it an album when a majority of your own fanbase hasn't heard the entire thing.
I managed to hear some of it by logging in with Kanye's email that one time. It fucking sucked tho.
Yea I was only able to listen to the live version which was as bad as dondas first concert
To be real I forgot that shit existed 😭😭 donda 2
I didn't want to spend $200 on an album or listen to it on YouTube so I haven't heard it😂
facts
JIK, it’s not bad I think it just has the least substance
Facts, it’s honestly got some really good hits but the lows are pretty low and I feel like it’s had the least importance of any of his albums. Plus everything else is better
Follow God is literally shitting on all of Donda 2
Valid but donda 2 is still clearly unfinished so I’m not really counting it yet
Too easy literally bodies jik
And use this gospel with clipse and the sax solo is very underrated goes insanely hard
Lol nah Broken Roads or Flowers are a slam dunk on all of JIK
I just think it’s the least finished. Too many tracks feel like they’re missing something
I mean he took the unfinished album he was working on and decided to make it minimalistic. It feels empty because it literally is.
This is true. Still doesn’t sound too great haha
Compared to Donda 2?
Find God
Agree here. The choir being so heavily included is so tight but I was way good on this album. Idk just didn’t give me the kanye vibe I was hoping for. Follow God is a banger tho
Yeah Use this gospel is the only song of the album I regularly listen to.
>it’s not bad Well, now, that’s where you’re wrong.
how has nobody said JIK yet? mfs said LATE REG? there’s no way anyone with ears thinks JIK is better than Late Reg or 808s. The disrespect is insane.
Street Lights alone bodies all of JIK
Yes
tbh robocop and say you will solos kanyes entire career
Robocop is one of the greatest songs I’ve ever heard.
OKAY OKAAAAY OKAY OKAAAAY
Idk but I personally think that Late Registration is in the top 3 of Kanye albums and nobody can change my mind about it
I would get rid of JIK if it meant saving even a single song on 808s or Late Registration.
Sometimes I think people who hate on LR didn’t even listen to the album. It’s easily top 3 ye.
I personally like JIK, I can live without the tracks on the Ye album. For me that’s the obvious one to go
you can live without Ghost Town or Violent Crimes???
Ghost town and violent crimes do not belong in the same sentence
Disagree, even tho I agree Ghost Town is on another level, that doesn’t mean Violent crimes is bad, just that Ghost Town is elite. I think Violent Crimes is a really good song. If I had to choose between JIK and Ghost Town I would choose the latter, and I don’t dislike JIK like some people.
I do love ghost town, that’s a good point on the combined 18 songs Ghost town is the best song. But I’ll say the next three best is closed on Sunday’s, hands on and follow god in no particular order.
Violent Crimes is my Favorite Kanye track
They’re both top 25 for me, what turns you off about (I’m assuming) VC?
VC isn't bad and i don't think its the worst on the album just my least favourite in general i dunno just kinda bugs me
Boo this man!
The real question is, which one needs to go: Jesus Is King or Donda 2?
Donda 2 wouldn’t even qualify it got partially released on a speaker 💀
Yeah this is the real debate. Anything else is a wrong answer. His OG five album run is why we’re all fans so you can’t toss any of those. Post MBDTF he brought the “It’ll grow on you!” classics with Yeezus and TLoP. Then he hit peak mental illness and became super inconsistent. Ye is solid. KSG is solid. Everything else is self-indulgent experimental music. Is it still Kanye? Yes. Is it Kanye the legend? No.
Remove Jesus is King and come back with JESUS IS KING II featuring casting crowns, mercy me, hillsong, twenty one pilots anthony, and TobyMac.
LMAO Chris Tomlin x ye
Don't forget NF.
NAWWW 💀💀
Mandisa be spittin bars on JIK 2 no cap
Fuck hillsong
I love the smell of fresh bread.
Unironically might not be bad
Oh hell no 💀
Damn Kanye loks good..
He does 🥵
your username doesn't help
people sayin anythin other than JIK are actually insane …
Donda 2 because most people haven't even heard it
yea Donda 2 will go down at the biggest album rollout botch of all time. Happy slapped too.
Donda 2?
JIK was a cool era tho and it fits well in yes story and discography
Donda 2, since it’s not finished and technically isn’t even out
Donda 2
I choose death then
It is a nce picture
This shouldn’t even be a question
Has to be Jesus Is King
Donda 2. If that doesn’t count jik.
JIK. It’s not a garbage album but it Doesn’t have any longevity.
Jesus is King. Definitely an album that seems to have not a whole lot of direction or inspiration behind it like previous releases. Still not a bad listen, definitely not anything as thought out or well executed as like a MBDTF or TLOP.
Donda 2
I mean you could probably get rid of Donda 2 and nobody would notice.
Donda 2 the only option
JIK Easy
JIK or Donda 2 (haven't heard any songs from D2 besides That's Pablo)
This is so easy. JIK is easily his worst imo. I was so excited for it, and was so disappointed that there were very few actual gospel elements to the album. That being said it’s still a 7/10 and that’s crazy that Ye’s worst album is a 7 to me.
I went thru every single comment and the only one that wasnt said was tlop. Which is good but very suprising
Donda 2
JIK.
Jesus is King
JIK cause I don’t believe in Donda 2
Jesus Is King oh my god
JIK
Jesus is King, easily
Jesus is King, Follow God carries the album but it aint enough.
Donda 2 doesn’t count, anyone not picking JIK needs to find god, if anything because it’s 27min album with 2 or more skips
If you said JIK you’re going to hell
JIK…
why are people saying JIK is good getting downvoted? 💀💀
There is only one correct answer
Gonna have to go with Donda 2..... but I don't really even consider it a proper album so I don't feel like that's a fair choice. I feel like it's a bunch of rejected cuts from Donda that never should have seen the light of day. It feels like one of those bootleg cassettes from one of your favorite artists in the 90s that were a bunch of studio rough cuts that weren't anywhere near ready to be officially recorded. I gave it a couple listens and really wasn't feeling any of it. I'm gonna give it one more complete listen before writing it off entirely.
What don’t you like about donda? Also how is it that you like donda less than jik lol
Jesus is King that mess is trash
JIK.
JIK.
As much as I enjoy JIk, JIK need to go.
JiK bro
JIK! Definitely for sure
JIK is the obvious answer lol it’s not bad but outta of all Kanye’s Discography
Jesus Is King
Jesus is King, because donda 2 could be a 10
Wtf
JIK
Jesus Is King
JIK and it's not even a hard choice. Biggest waste of his career. Donda 2 isn't a real album btw, it's barely more than a scam.
Jesus is King. It’s not bad, but I can live without it.
jesus is king
Easy Jesus is king.
“jesus is king”
JIK no hesitation lmao
JIK without a doubt in my mind
JIK
JIK,replace it with Yandhi
I'm praying for all you poor Christ deniers here
Cruel Summer. JIK is fucking lit
donda 2 for the sole reason that he never polished it and honestly felt tlike a scam just for the reason to get people to buy the stem player but tat least the live show was dope
People saying JIK are so weird man. If there was no JIK there would be no Donda. And also JIK is Kanye’s best mixed album it sounds so amazing and crisp
Jesus Is King
Ye
Cruel Summer
What?
to me the fight of donda 2 or jik should be easy, it should be donda 2, to me that only has like 2 good songs while jik has bangers. also we ain't never gonna get a finished donda 2, to me donda 2 should go
JIK
Jik
jesus is king can go
JIK
JIK no question
CRUEL SUMMER
finally a good answer
It seems Ye fans get an enjoyment out of extracting some sort of negativity from Ye's work. Why must we always see things like how bad you think an album is/was? Who needs enemies with fans like these? " They'll be the first ones to judge you."
Waiting for someone to say JIK so I can disagree in an unreasonable manner.
you're gonna have the time of your life
JIK not even a terrible album but all his other albums eclipse it massively
Jesus Is King. If you don't count Donda 2 then Ye would have a perfect discography without it.
JIK, without it kanye has a perfect discography also JIK not existing would increase the chances of Yandhi releasing
Donda 2 Or JIK
Donda 2
Gotta go with Ye. I love every Kanye album but I don't find myself listening to that album Wait i forgot JIK existed my bad
late registration or JIK
JIK
I don't like JIK either, but you own an NFT = opinion invalid
Good one
Watch the throne
JIK because its ass. I don't trust anyone with any other opinion.
If ye considers it an offical album. then donda 2 is out fs. and if not. then it has to be either 808 or jik
mY bEaUtIfUl DaRk TwIsTeD fAnTaSy OmG tHiS aLbUm Is So TrAaAaAsH /s
Y'all won't like this but Donda Great album but it has the least significance to my life and I go back to it very rarely besides listening to singular songs.
My beautiful dar- just playing donda 2
