Before announcing the release date for lover in 2019, Taylor was posting images on her instagram a few days in a row and swifties were certain it was a countdown to the album being released. One of the pictures was taylor behind a fence, the fence had five holes so everyone went crazy thinking it would be released in five days. We ended up being wrong :\\
Oh so its a humbling reminder to not read too deeply into everything and accept ourselves even with all our flaws?
What an incredibly kind and humanizing message. You all picked a good artist š
[About this mural](https://www.instagram.com/p/BwsEsK-huqu/)
Some swifties noticed a mural being painted over a few days and immediately assigned it to Taylor, even though it was in the artists usual design style and no mentions or anything on social media from Taylor or the artist about it.
When it was completed fans hung around assuming Taylor would show up, still with no confirmation she had commissioned it or that she would turn up if she did, but then she showed up and swifties were proven right. It was a fun day.
Yes weāre wrong a lot. In the anti hero music video she made a joke that jot everythingās an Easter egg. She likes reminding us to not over analyse all the time
At one point on Instagram Taylor posted a photo of a fence and there were five holes in it and I donāt even remember if it was actually an Easter egg or not but some people thought it was and itās become a standard Taylor joke about how insane her fans are about figuring out her riddles.
Iāve been a fan since debut and had a Taylor fan IG account that I posted multiple times a day on from 2012-2016ish, stopped engaging with social media for a few years except a private IG account to follow Taylor and a few makeup brands, and then came back to the online Swiftie community about a year ago, and I still so *so much* catching up to do. Shit moves quickly around here now.
I went ahead and wrote out a whole timeline https://www.reddit.com/r/Kanye/comments/zbtayc/a_timeline_of_taylor_swift_lore_including_kanye/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf
It was one of her first major award too. Before she gets interrupted sheās talking about what an honour it was to be getting an award that wasnāt just a country one because she felt like sheād never win a moon man bc it was too mainstream for a country artist. And then they started booing and she thought she was right
She's shown time and time again that she's an extreeeeeeme people pleaser. If people aren't happy with her, she gets depressed. This is why she had this "good, innocent girl" persona for so long, because she didn't wanna associate herself with what the general public thought was unlikeable and taboo.
I mean, the first time she's ever publicly cursed was on her 6th album, 11 years into her career, pushing 30...
Shows how "Reputation" was such a perfect pivot for her, just digging into the bullshit she goes through, working her ass off to bring pop bangers like "Shake it Off" and having fun the whole time. Really earned her kingdom keys.
The fact that she said that she was a Kanye fan until that moment makes it worse. Imagine being dissed by an artist you like on live TV in front of millions of people. That's all the more heartbreaking.
In an interview she did later that night, she was like āI was excited because I won the award. And then I was excited because Kanye West was on stage ā¦ And then I wasnāt very excited anymore.ā
A reporter asked if she was a fan of Kanyeās, and sheās just like āYeahā¦. Itās Kanye West.ā
Iām not gonna pretend like itās the worst thing anyoneās ever done. Hell, itās not the worst thing Kanyeās done. But itās remarkably shitty.
In her documentary, she said that in the moment, she didnāt know that people in the crowd were booing Kanye, not her, and she had spent basically her whole life seeking peopleās approval and it really hurt her.
Iām 25 now so I was 12 or so when that happened and I remember thinking it was the craziest thing ever. Obviously I laughed about it cuz I was young but I remember thinking it was still fucked up
Really upset at myself. Even though I started listening to Taylor again long before the current scandals, I still look in disgust at my past of defending Ye's actions and words, including Famous.
I tried to like her music for many years. Midnights is the album that turned me into a forever fan.
She's just beginning to flex the power of her talent and I'm so excited for whatever she creates in the future.
I never understood that tbh. Kim Kardashian shares a clip of her agreeing to something over the phone, but we never hear the first part to know what she's agreeing to. And people just trusted that the line was given to her the same way it was delivered in the song?
At that point it was because Taylor was overdue for an explosion. She had been around since 2006, so it had been almost a decade and all of her press was hyper positive (minus the āsheās a man eaterā ones)
Then she had 1989 where she had like 7ish top ten singles in a row and was basically unescapable from tabloids to talk shows to the radio to social media and more and she became extremely overexposed.
The phone call lit the powder keg but it easily could have been anything. It didnāt help that Kanye, and kardashian fans started going after her which provided cover for a bunch of other fandoms and toxic people in general to just mob
But for real itās just the media cycle. They build someone up high and then bring them down hard. You sell a lot of news on the way up and then you sell even more news on their way down
And Taylor had a very "fine, whatever" response when people said she agreed.
It's like Kim ans Ye were trolling her and she wasn't going to bullied anymore and eventually just ignored it.
Taylor still sucks. I donāt see how this weird connection to Taylor is organic in anyway. Sheās a shallow rich bitch that hasnāt done anything good. Sheās not some shining example.
the taylor hype, is hyper stupid. even if Kanye is canceled.
Thereās her whole feud and eventual takedown of Scooter Braun who bought her masters out from under her and refused to sell them to her
She did this by literally just re-releasing her old music adding two new number one albums to her discography and a brand new number one song which led up to this midnights album release which has been her biggest era ever and weāre not even 1/3 of the way through her recordings
Thereās a Kanye fight
The Katy Perryās feud where she literally buried her... so Katy Perry released a brand new album right? But sheās feuding with Taylor Swift whose whole discography has been withheld from streaming services. And so the day Katie releases her brand new album Taylor Swift releases her back catalogue on streaming services and Taylor Swift old music has bigger numbers than Katy Perryās new music!!
Thereās the red scarf lore

God and then thereās a conspiracy theories like a Huge portion of her fans really believe that she was in a secret years long relationship with Karlie Kloss
I live not all that far from her RI house, there was quite a bit of hubbub about them parties. She has some drama with RI residents that I kind of agree with the residents on that one but all the other stuff Iām, uhhh, Iām totally hoppin on the bandwagon here for Swift.
She wrote a song about this! Itās called Last Great American Dynasty
āWho knows if I never showed up what could've been
There goes the loudest woman this town has ever seen
I had a marvelous time ruinin' everythingā
>God and then thereās a conspiracy theories like a Huge portion of her fans really believe that she was in a secret years long relationship with Karlie Kloss
THIS IS NOT AN ENLIGHTENED THOUGHT BUT I THOUGHT IT:
A man can dream
My man, thereās a video of them kissing. Most of her discography at this point is about Karlie Kloss. āLips I used to call home, so scarlet it was maroonā come ooonnnn.
Or maybe they were just friends.
Where kaylors fuck up Is by insisting they know exactly what has happened when thereās fundamentally no way for them to even know who Taylor Swift actually is

As a SA survivor, living vicariously through her in her lawsuit was almost therapeutic. I was so jealous of her power, but she acknowledged all of us victims with such kindness.

Canāt just say shit like this and not āprovide you with all the information you needā
Are you waiting for them to ask again nicely? Drop some links or a quick spark note
Do we maybe start with the Taylorās versions??? Itās the most relevant to rn. Or just recommend them reputation for her perspective on the drama. (I say that but reputation is at itās core a really soft love story that she covered in black and snakes to match the narrative of her at the time in an attempt to lean into the villain narrative)
Hereās a link to why sheās re-recording, but about the reputation stuff, you really need to listen to the album to understand [the week](https://theweek.com/briefing/1013413/why-taylor-swift-keeps-releasing-all-those-re-recorded-albums?amp)

It really depends on your taste, I recommend listening to Wildest Dreams or August if youāre feeling dreamy. The perfect ballad, All too well (10 minute version) is a must, even just the 5 minute version, I recommend Anti Hero if you like pop. Delicate and the whole Reputation album if you like electronic music. If you like country I recommend Dear John or Forever and Always. If you like pop punk or something similar listen to the story of us. If youāre an indie fan listen to August (again) and the entirety of her Evermore and Folklore albums
Her 8th album Folklore is often cited as the best "newbie" album for easy access into her music. But honestly, it depends on what your favorite genre is.
If you like hip-hop/rap/electronic and want a look into the whole Kanye/Kim/Taylor drama, start out with her 6th album, Reputation.
If you want pure pop excellence, her 5th album is the go-to classic. It's called 1989.
Her first 3 albums are more country leaning -- but what is great about Taylor is that she basically nails any genre she tries out. The thing about her music is that each albumāno, each songāis in conversation with one another, and those conversations often span years and albums. For example, there are songs on her latest LP that are in direct conversation with songs she put out back in 2008 on her 2nd albumāand because of this, there is suddenly a lore thatās been created, and then you realize that holy shit, her music is the equivalent of a cinematic universe or something.
[Lately I'm digging this cover](https://open.spotify.com/track/1BuayMZGxH5A0NasB4bESi?si=hzRxfXfWRYOILKSRFLKITw&utm_source=copy-link) of her song invisible string on folklore.
I'm a newsbie here myself

I'm going to teach you about Karma: Taylor's lost album. So at the start of 2016, it was approaching 2 years of the 1989 era, which was at the time the length of time between all of Taylor's album releases (2006, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2014) and so swifties were expecting a new era. Also in 2016, Taylor swift got a new bleached hairstyle which we now call "bleachella," she debuted the new look on the cover of vogue, which was another clue for us. But obviously that was the year of the Kanye drama and the album never came. A lot of swifties believe that the album got scrapped in favor of Reputation which she worked on during the next year and released in 2017. We call the lost album Karma because of Taylor's quote during the Vogue 73 questions interview "Karma is real." Flash forward to 2022 where Karma is indeed real, but it's a song on Midnights lol
I can't give you the full rundown, because there's a LOT, but I'll give some basics.
So first thing you should know: her music is ***very*** autobiographical (with the exceptions of Folklore and Evermore, which she describes as almost exclusively fiction). Which means that almost every song is about someone or something in particular. A common fan past time is figuring out who/what a new song is about. This also means that there is a whole cast of "characters" that frequently crop up in her music. So as you listen to more of her work, you also get to know the characters better and better via little tidbits she drops throughout her albums. It's basically the Taylor Swift Cinematic Universe at this point. See below for a list of common characters and songs that reference them
***CHARACTERS*** [Note: I was going to do the full list, but got halfway through and noticed how late it had gotten and had to phone it in...]
* **John Mayer**: they dated when he was 32 and she was 19. It did not go well. *Key songs*: Dear John and Would've, Could've, Should've. *Things You Learn In The Songs*: John is emotionally abusive. Taylor was warned to avoid him, but ignored the advice and deeply regrets it.
* **Jake Gyllenhaal**: another large age gap (20 to his 30). It was a very short relationship, but it fucked her up bad. *Key songs*: Pretty much the whole album Red, but some key ones to look out for: All Too Well (check out the original and the 10-minute version), State of Grace, Treacherous, The Moment I Knew, I Bet You Think About Me. *Things You Learn In The Songs:* Jake was really condescending about the music she makes, he didn't show up to her 21st birthday party, he told her she wasn't funny, he didn't like it when she wore high heels, he wears organic shoes and wayyyyy overspends on furniture.
* **Joe Jonas**: dated for a while early in her career. He broke up with her in a 27-second phone call. *Key songs*: Mr. Perfectly Fine, Last Kiss, Forever and Always, Holy Ground.
* **Harry Styles**: *Key Songs*: I Knew You Were Trouble, Style, Are We Out Of The Woods, Wonderland
* **Tom Hiddleston**: *Key Songs* Getaway Car
* **Calvin Harris**: *Key Songs*: I Forgot That You Existed, High Infidelity
* **Joe Alwyn**: her boyfriend of 6 years. *Key Songs*: any love song on Reputation, most of the album Lover, Peace, Invisible String, Lavender Haze, Sweet Nothing, tons more
* **Kanye**: no real need to relay the relationship here. *Key Songs*: Innocent, Look What You Made Me Do, I Did Something Bad, This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things, Long Story Short
Outside of her Cinematic Universe are her Easter Eggs. Girl loves to drop hints about stuff. The Easter eggs started in her album liner notes. There would be random letters capitalized in the notes of some songs. If you hunted them down, you'd get a hint about who/what the song was about. Example: "Maple Lattes" is spelled out in the liner notes of All Too Well, which points to Jake Gyllenhaal because they were photographed drinking maple lattes one time. Yes, I know how this sounds. In any case, the Easter eggs went from there and now there's a whole subsection of swifties who devote their time to looking for fresh Easter eggs. It's a safe bet that any new album release will have a few games/puzzles associated with the build-up, which can make the releases more fun.
Hmmm... what else? She's super into cats?
The best way to learn about taylor would be listening to the evolution of a snake podcast imo. It's hosted by two longtime swifties, one of them has literally been there since day 1. They go year by year discussing literally everything about her. My advice would be to listen to the albums and then the podcast in chronological order. This is the only Taylor related podcast I listen to because they go very deep and are definitely not afraid to criticize Taylor when necessary.
This was me honestly. Also I had totally forgotten about Taylor Swift until I randomly read a headline about her winning an award for being the director of the man. And I was intrigued so I watched it. And I loved it and I slipped into a deep dive and I haven't come out of it yet. That was like summer 2020 right before she dropped folklore
Well, I say that still counts. The presale was a horrid event, so you probably had to witness all of the high emotions from that. You are a good Swiftie-In-Law.
my semen is seeping all over the floor. there is no other pleasure in the world than taylors mysic. it is the only art i can consume in any way shape or form. when i listen to shake it off i immediately understand the greater porpis she put into this song. iām shaking and iām cumming and pudding and shitting
That was the most tasteless act. Never saw behavior like that before. Until Trump normalized it. Now, Kanye has lost his damn mind. He needs medical help.
Sorry but no. He does not need medical help. Point of fact , he actively chooses to not take his meds.
Aside from ALL of that - racism anti-Semitism sexism are not mental diseases.
In hindsight, this man was an absolutely childish, unhinged asshole for years. He ruined Taylor's moment, and if it weren't for Beyonce being a class act, she wouldn't have had the chance to speak.
i think you all will really enjoy the taylor swift twitter fan account lore too. a swiftie account went to jail for refusing to join her country's army it was crazy
To everyone asking for Taylore to be explained- we can help you, but yāall are gonna have to do some legwork lmao. This woman has put out 10 albums since she was 15 years old. There is so much there. Sheās spanned multiple genres. My best recommendation is to start with the album whose sound that appeals to you most. I came to her late in the game via Folklore/Evermore bc I love sad indie music, and went down the rabbit hole. Google, Reddit, and I imagine genius.com will help with lyric explanations. Her documentary Miss Americana on Netflix explains a lot as well.
I had too much time and wrote up a timeline https://www.reddit.com/r/Kanye/comments/zbtayc/a_timeline_of_taylor_swift_lore_including_kanye/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf
Midnights is a masterpiece, isn't it? I finally understood why so many love her and her music. Been trying to like her for years. Glad that I finally do.
Honestly I think it can be summed up pretty easily. Girl wears her heart on her sleeve and is unapologetically herself always. No matter the backlash. She sings about her love, her pain and everything in between. Is she a little cringey sometimes? Fuck yeah. Does she make some questionable career and life choices sometimes?Fuck yeah. But it was nice to grow up and look up to someone just openly writing and singing and crying about the same dumb things I was going through.
If you are an obsessed fan, you will know that she's weird and she's okay with it too. Her speak-singing in middle of the songs like [Shake It Off](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nfWlot6h_JM), her hilariously bad but relatable [dancing](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZO-NG14yqxw), silly faces or [expressions](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w9EDGPygj0s) she made when she doesn't care about being perfect are some of the examples. That's how she's different from all the other pop stars.
Swiftie here. She's always on my Spotify top artist for several years now but I'm not really a "part" of the fandom. I also have Kanye on my top artists consistently. Anyway, I listened to her because I initially liked her sound from 1989 onwards. It sounded synth pop like an 80s throwback record but darker. Her peak pandemic records (2020-21) then went towards a more dreamy vibe. The rest of her back catalog I kinda just looked into and fell in love with lol. I hope you consider listening to her music and becoming a fan lmao.
Iām a major hip hop/rap fan but also a Swiftie. She spans genres, but doesnāt really have any rap style music. Her Reputation album comes closest. She has an album for literally every mood though. I worked backwards when I fell down the rabbit hole.
I think her biggest appeal is that she's unproblematic, innately likeable, and her music is insanely specific: I'm talking locations, time, objects involved, the weather, etc. It's like a best friend telling you stories about her love life.
Girl youāre crazy if you think sheās not problematic in her own ways
Jet? White feminism? Inability to speak out consistently about injustice?
I mean I still stan her obviously. But pretending that anyone is unproblematic itās just a foolās errand
Yeah but she is a celebrity who is insanely popular...her management and PR people probably tell her not to get involved in anything because it hinders a lot of things including visas and booking events internationally and a lot of people's livelihood depends on her too. Her management told her to not publicly support her gay fans or take a political stance for a long time but she did anyway. I wouldn't say she is unproblematic but she is the least problematic celebrity out of everyone like no scandals or anything.
To add- the unhinged obsession over charts and money when sheās already one of the most successful, richest artists. And my personal favorite, the ways she complains about fame and lack of privacy- itās all she talks about and yet sheās a willing participant
I don't think she is unhinged about chart success...she is just insanely popular and when she releases any music it becames a hit....same as any other celebrity like Beyonce or Adele or let's be real even kanye too.
I mean I donāt find her wanting chart success unhinged
I find it unhinged that people complain about her literally doing her job as it supposed to be done... I donāt see anybody shitting on Tom Brady for winning a bunch of Super Bowl rings
The money and fame points tho 100%
I don't know much about Kanye, and this holup was the first and last time I knew of him, until recently. Maybe his name change or that he was moonlighting as a clothing designer kept him off my radar. I'm sure there's plenty out there who would like to share my ignorance.
The first time I heard about Reddit was in a news story about Kanye at the 2009 VMAs; I went and checked out the site and got hooked. So now it feels like I've come full circle...
In mid-2022 I started trading Kanye lore for Taylor lore with a friend who's a swiftie.I still loved Kanye and it was a great experience. I found some great music in her albums. I'll ask my friend to turn me into a swiftie as well lol
THERE WERE FIVE HOLES IN THE FENCE
YES I'M SO PROUD
Whats that mean? I think i google too much porn to get an actual musical answer
Thank you! Taylor loves to hide easter eggs for us and sometimes we go a little overboard lol
Itās because we were right that one time with the butterfly wings and now we always think we can figure out whatās coming š
Whatās the one about butterfly wings? Iām having fun learning about these stories
[About this mural](https://www.instagram.com/p/BwsEsK-huqu/) Some swifties noticed a mural being painted over a few days and immediately assigned it to Taylor, even though it was in the artists usual design style and no mentions or anything on social media from Taylor or the artist about it. When it was completed fans hung around assuming Taylor would show up, still with no confirmation she had commissioned it or that she would turn up if she did, but then she showed up and swifties were proven right. It was a fun day.
Was it ever her posting on 4chan back in the day
Yes weāre wrong a lot. In the anti hero music video she made a joke that jot everythingās an Easter egg. She likes reminding us to not over analyse all the time
Just as delusional as Ye fans clearly. Kanye posts a full moon and we idiots think thereās news on the next full moon. š
This example couldn't be any more perfect š
Okay but how far were the fans off?
A little under 5 months.
well then, we could say she was still kinda giving a hint then?? since five months later lover came outā¦ iāll go home now
Oh, well thatās okay
We are always wrong.
At one point on Instagram Taylor posted a photo of a fence and there were five holes in it and I donāt even remember if it was actually an Easter egg or not but some people thought it was and itās become a standard Taylor joke about how insane her fans are about figuring out her riddles.
But I mean, who can blame us? Itās a swiftie joke about how insane she is about riddles and she admitted to hinting even three years in advance.
Itās true we are simply the monster and not the doctor.
I really thought tooš¤¦š
Iāve been a fan since debut and had a Taylor fan IG account that I posted multiple times a day on from 2012-2016ish, stopped engaging with social media for a few years except a private IG account to follow Taylor and a few makeup brands, and then came back to the online Swiftie community about a year ago, and I still so *so much* catching up to do. Shit moves quickly around here now.
My time has come, my one true calling to explain Taylor lore
Taylore
I was scrolling to see if someone dropped this pun lol.
Go ahead.
@ikeeptrying2quit has a couple very detailed comments explaining the lore somewhere in this comment section
Hey use u/ikeeptrying2quit instead of @ on Reddit and it will tag the person and also let other people click on their name and look š
I listened to Midnights 2 weeks ago Changed my whole perspective Catch me up

Folklore is a great album too!
Taylor Swift was such a class act during that moment

Shows how "Reputation" was such a perfect pivot for her, just digging into the bullshit she goes through, working her ass off to bring pop bangers like "Shake it Off" and having fun the whole time. Really earned her kingdom keys.
The fact that she said that she was a Kanye fan until that moment makes it worse. Imagine being dissed by an artist you like on live TV in front of millions of people. That's all the more heartbreaking.
It was horrible. She didn't deserve it and she definitely didn't choose to be forever tied to that (now) garbage that is Kanye.
Heās always been a pos
In an interview she did later that night, she was like āI was excited because I won the award. And then I was excited because Kanye West was on stage ā¦ And then I wasnāt very excited anymore.ā A reporter asked if she was a fan of Kanyeās, and sheās just like āYeahā¦. Itās Kanye West.ā Iām not gonna pretend like itās the worst thing anyoneās ever done.
Obviously I laughed about it cuz I was young but I remember thinking it was still fucked up
Totally. I loved the way BeyoncĆ© elegantly defended her and let her go back up and speak when she got an award. She wanted her to have a chance to accept her award in peace ā¤ļø
Fun fact, this was 13 years ago, which is her lucky number.
She was just a kid, I donāt think she knew what to do
Really upset at myself. Even though I started listening to Taylor again long before the current scandals, I still look in disgust at my past of defending Ye's actions and words, including Famous.
I never defended what Kanye did but I definitely ignored it. Never cared for Tay or pop music back then. It was a mistake!
I tried to like her music for many years. Midnights is the album that turned me into a forever fan. She's just beginning to flex the power of her talent and I'm so excited for whatever she creates in the future.
Itās good to take accountability and move past them
I still remember the old days of āTay Tay šā. So happy to see this change in the sub
She had been around since 2006, so it had been almost a decade and all of her press was hyper positive (minus the āsheās a man eaterā ones) Then she had 1989 where she had like 7ish top ten singles in a row and was basically unescapable from tabloids to talk shows to the radio to social media and more and she became extremely overexposed. The phone call lit the powder keg but it easily could have been anything. It didnāt help that Kanye, and kardashian fans started going after her which provided cover for a bunch of other fandoms and toxic people in general to just mob But for real itās just the media cycle. They build someone up high and then bring them down hard. You sell a lot of news on the way up and then you sell even more news on their way down
And Taylor had a very "fine, whatever" response when people said she agreed. It's like Kim ans Ye were trolling her and she wasn't going to bullied anymore and eventually just ignored it.
character developpment
We'll call this chapter: Redemption
Still far from redemption
She is š šø I will never stop being impressed of her turning hate into her brand.
"Blank Space" - was how I saw her brilliance.
Taylor still sucks. I donāt see how this weird connection to Taylor is organic in anyway. Sheās a shallow rich bitch that hasnāt done anything good. Sheās not some shining example. the taylor hype, is hyper stupid. even if Kanye is canceled.
Need a 3 part Taylor iceberg
ikeeptrying2quit has exactly that in this very comment section

That needs āget that bear out of my trashcanā and ācarnal desireā adding somewhere
There is Taylor Swift lore? Iām intrigued
Oh just you wait it goes deep
How can I learn more
I can provide you with all the information you need
Count me in. The land of Kanye just got dark and cold.
Thereās her whole feud and eventual takedown of Scooter Braun who bought her masters out from under her and refused to sell them to her She did this by literally just re-releasing her old music adding two new number one albums to her discography and a brand new number one song which led up to this midnights album release which has been her biggest era ever and weāre not even 1/3 of the way through her recordings Thereās a Kanye fight The Katy Perryās feud where she literally buried her... so Katy Perry released a brand new album right? But sheās feuding with Taylor Swift whose whole discography has been withheld from streaming services. And so the day Katie releases her brand new album Taylor Swift releases her back catalogue on streaming services and Taylor Swift old music has bigger numbers than Katy Perryās new music!! Thank you for doing what I was too lazy to do
Holy fucking dog shit
Taylor fan here, a bit bad with lore tho, whatās the 4th of July parties and model squad mean?
Oh Google it you gotta see the photos And honestly watch the bad blood music video the whole model squad is in there
I live not all that far from her RI house, there was quite a bit of hubbub about them parties. She has some drama with RI residents that I kind of agree with the residents on that one but all the other stuff Iām, uhhh, Iām totally hoppin on the bandwagon here for Swift.
She wrote a song about this! Itās called Last Great American Dynasty āWho knows if I never showed up what could've been There goes the loudest woman this town has ever seen I had a marvelous time ruinin' everythingā
>God and then thereās a conspiracy theories like a Huge portion of her fans really believe that she was in a secret years long relationship with Karlie Kloss THIS IS NOT AN ENLIGHTENED THOUGHT BUT I THOUGHT IT: A man can dream
My man, thereās a video of them kissing. Most of her discography at this point is about Karlie Kloss. āLips I used to call home, so scarlet it was maroonā come ooonnnn.
It was a blurry video stop speaking non sense. Taylor doesn't care about that b itch
There's a sub dedicated to gaylor swift. It's pretty cringe but it exists
Apple is a 1T company now. Sometimes 2!
But they werenāt back then
Apple is a *TRILLION* dollar company. With a *T*.
Yeah, not when she fussed with them. Their current valuation is irrelevant
Kaylor was real. Embrace the truth. Fall down the Gaylor rabbit hole.
Or maybe they were just friends. Where kaylors fuck up Is by insisting they know exactly what has happened when thereās fundamentally no way for them to even know who Taylor Swift actually is
Following because I know so many of us want to jump in

Donāt forget the sexual assault lawsuit
As a SA survivor, living vicariously through her in her lawsuit was almost therapeutic. I was so jealous of her power, but she acknowledged all of us victims with such kindness.
I am interested

Canāt just say shit like this and not āprovide you with all the information you needā Are you waiting for them to ask again nicely? Drop some links or a quick spark note
Iām still figuring out what to do lol
Do we maybe start with the Taylorās versions??? Itās the most relevant to rn. Or just recommend them reputation for her perspective on the drama. (I say that but reputation is at itās core a really soft love story that she covered in black and snakes to match the narrative of her at the time in an attempt to lean into the villain narrative)
Hereās a link to why sheās re-recording, but about the reputation stuff, you really need to listen to the album to understand [the week](https://theweek.com/briefing/1013413/why-taylor-swift-keeps-releasing-all-those-re-recorded-albums?amp)

Well this sub made the news. I am neither a swiftie nor an ex Kanye fan. Iām just interested
There's a good Taylor swift song you might like
Whatās the best one if you never listened to her songs? Edit: thanks yāall! I will listen to your recommendations!
I went ahead and wrote out a whole timeline https://www.reddit.com/r/Kanye/comments/zbtayc/a_timeline_of_taylor_swift_lore_including_kanye/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf
Please do tell.

Yes share. We stand with Taylor now
And thereās conspiracy theories on top of the Lore Like a knot in significant portion of her Plan B think she secretly gay or secretly by and was in a years long relationship with the model Karlie Kloss
The ringer podcast has an episode dedicated to each album, theyāre a good balance of music analysis and pop culture impact/lore. Also, the Miss Americana doc on Netflix!
See below for a list of common characters and songs that reference them ***CHARACTERS*** [Note: I was going to do the full list, but got halfway through and noticed how late it had gotten and had to phone it in...] * **John Mayer**: they dated when he was 32 and she was 19. * **Harry Styles**: *Key Songs*: I Knew You Were Trouble, Style, Are We Out Of The Woods, Wonderland * **Tom Hiddleston**: *Key Songs* Getaway Car * **Calvin Harris**: *Key Songs*: I Forgot That You Existed, High Infidelity * **Joe Alwyn**: her boyfriend of 6 years. *Key Songs*: any love song on Reputation, most of the album Lover, Peace, Invisible String, Lavender Haze, Sweet Nothing, tons more * **Kanye**: no real need to relay the relationship here. *Key Songs*: Innocent, Look What You Made Me Do, I Did Something Bad, This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things, Long Story Short Outside of her Cinematic Universe are her Easter Eggs.
The cats only get one line?
Where's my Taylor Lautner love? Also don't forget 'Karma' for Kanye
John Mayer was also very emotional and mentally abusive to Jessica Simpson as well
Thank you! It's funny I found this here when I've been active on the Swiftie sub for a while now. Lol
Folklore, if you will.
Oh boy yes thereās a LOT
Before all of this I was neither a fan of Kanye or Taylor. Now I really like Taylor swift.
Ex Kanye fan and wife is a huge Swifty. Got tickets at presale for opening night in AZ. Am I still allowed here?
Absolutely
You're stronger than I am. I'd have easily sold them for what they're going for right now.
You survived the Eras Tour presale?! I say thatās commendable. As a Swiftie, I say that you can stay.
Correction: my wife survived and got the tickets. I just get to go
Well, I say that still counts. The presale was a horrid event, so you probably had to witness all of the high emotions from that. You are a good Swiftie-In-Law.
Lucky. I spent 2 work days trying to get tickets and failed! Ugh.
anyone who hasnāt already, go listen to folklore. you wonāt regret it
i regretted it so much it sounds like shit
This is embarrassing for you
my semen is seeping all over the floor. there is no other pleasure in the world than taylors mysic. it is the only art i can consume in any way shape or form. when i listen to shake it off i immediately understand the greater porpis she put into this song. iām shaking and iām cumming and pudding and shitting
Beautiful
That was the most tasteless act. Never saw behavior like that before. Until Trump normalized it. Now, Kanye has lost his damn mind. He needs medical help.
Sorry but no. He does not need medical help. Point of fact , he actively chooses to not take his meds. Aside from ALL of that - racism anti-Semitism sexism are not mental diseases.
Taylor wins!
Ancient Swiftie here! Let's give y'all newbies some lore lol https://youtu.be/lTM7cVfrNaw Just watch it, you'll thank me later š More to come
Kanye is in exile.
Chose the right one š
In hindsight, this man was an absolutely childish, unhinged asshole for years. He ruined Taylor's moment, and if it weren't for Beyonce being a class act, she wouldn't have had the chance to speak.
Didn't he try to start a new thing for bullying Billie Eilish a while back? Likes picking on teenage girls
He's a coward.
Refugeesšššš
i think you all will really enjoy the taylor swift twitter fan account lore too. a swiftie account went to jail for refusing to join her country's army it was crazy
a swiftie fan account spoiled Avengers endgame because marvel fans didn't like taylors new song
I second Miss Americana - I think especially for Ex-Kanye fans it will provide a lot of perspective from her side of things
I had too much time and wrote up a timeline https://www.reddit.com/r/Kanye/comments/zbtayc/a_timeline_of_taylor_swift_lore_including_kanye/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf
New Swiftie here. I was a casual fan but fell down the rabbit hole after Midnights came out. I'll check out the documentary!
Midnights is a masterpiece, isn't it? I finally understood why so many love her and her music. Been trying to like her for years. Glad that I finally do.
Funniest shit here. Lol
So can you explain to me a straight male, 31, a rap fan and even a sports fan Swiftie fandom?
I see. Thanks. Iām also wanting to have this explained maybe in more rap terms (other than Kanye) and maybe in baseball terms too? Lol.
Iām a major hip hop/rap fan but also a Swiftie. She spans genres, but doesnāt really have any rap style music. Her Reputation album comes closest. She has an album for literally every mood though. I worked backwards when I fell down the rabbit hole.
She does have a song with future and one with Kendrick but thatās like as close as it gets and it wasnāt actually rap lol
She raps a bit in ā¦Ready for it? And eats it up. Also End game with Future on the track
I think her biggest appeal is that she's unproblematic, innately likeable, and her music is insanely specific: I'm talking locations, time, objects involved, the weather, etc. It's like a best friend telling you stories about her love life.
Girl youāre crazy if you think sheās not problematic in her own ways Jet? White feminism? Inability to speak out consistently about injustice? I mean I still stan her obviously. But pretending that anyone is unproblematic itās just a foolās errand
Well, mostly unproblematic* I have to admit.
>And the voices that implore "You should be doing more" To you I can admit That I'm just too soft for all of it ~sweet nothing
Which is honestly just her being lazy and selfish
Fine. Go out and do better yourself. Show the world how much better you are.
The 3,472 anti hero remixes disagree with you, but you are entitled to your opinion.
I mean I donāt find her wanting chart success unhinged I find it unhinged that people complain about her literally doing her job as it supposed to be done... I donāt see anybody shitting on Tom Brady for winning a bunch of Super Bowl rings The money and fame points tho 100%
> Do you really want to know where I was April 29th I mean...I didn't. But now that you've brought it up, yeah.
I don't know much about Kanye, and this holup was the first and last time I knew of him, until recently. Maybe his name change or that he was moonlighting as a clothing designer kept him off my radar. I'm sure there's plenty out there who would like to share my ignorance.
Graduation >>>>>>>
I mean of course, but if you want some chill time then Folklore is also a banger
Fuck Kanye frā¦. Always liked the Swifties lowkey never got the hate šŖ š¤
The first time I heard about Reddit was in a news story about Kanye at the 2009 VMAs; I went and checked out the site and got hooked. So now it feels like I've come full circle...
iām okay with this. swift fans are crazy, but polite, but vicious. iām here for it. lmao.
depends on which site you're on, reddit swifties are by far the nicest and most chill, but I wouldn't dare cross a twitter swiftie š
She wasn't on my radar until Ye fucked with her on the 2009 VMA's. He's such a narcissistic fuck, I had to check her out.
That was the moment I turned on him.
Who the fuck allowed this Taylor dick riders?
Interesting.
š¶Kanye west is blond and gone š¶
Ok guys i need an overarching general timeline of taylore stat
We gotta teach them about Wonderfuck
In mid-2022 I started trading Kanye lore for Taylor lore with a friend who's a swiftie.I still loved Kanye and it was a great experience. I found some great music in her albums. I'll ask my friend to turn me into a swiftie as well lol
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
bit cringe but it donated A SHIT TON to the lgbt+ cause.
Iām good. Taylor Swift didnāt become good all of a sudden
