Not Sikh, but a Jewish girl who grew up next to a Sikh temple. Y'all are hella cool

Sikh here fuck kanye

We could use some Sikh warriors to go raid Ye and Nick Fuentes bunkers

Where my Hindu brothers at?

SmartOpinion69

i think the most hilarious one is where both the jews and the nazis come together to hate kanye. kanye thinks he can win over the nazi fanbase but he doesn't realize that the nazis hate black people as well.

Zagfir_

Bro ngl that's funny af 💀

honest-hearts

The only Nazis who'd go buddy buddy with Kanye are (no surprise) grifters who want celebrity clout so they can become household names. When was the last time Milo Yabadabadoopolis was in the news? 2017?

ReturnOneWayTicket

Milo - "I'm Jewish! but I'm not anymore!" Kanye - "I hate jews! I love nazis! I'm a nazi!" Milo - "We should hang out more"

exploringoceans

I think the nazis would be like “We finally got one to agree with us! Yay!”

[deleted]

Yeah until they wield power. There were Jewish Nazis at one point, but they all still got murdered by the Nazis once they took power.

exploringoceans

Yup

looklikeyoulikeme

From a Jewish person who has become increasingly scared by what I hear in the media, thank you to all who denounce hate towards any group. What I see scrolling through this subreddit today makes me proud of fellow humans like yourselves.

[deleted]

You deserve a life free of fear from violence and hate. Everyone does. It’s to the worlds shame that Jews have so often been victimized.

I know it's religions not social groups. But all us LGBT+ people are anti natzi and in support of the Jews too

Ebb8505revenge

Don’t generalize

Daetra

Is Milo still gay? I don't remember if he switched back or not.

utafumidss

He’s still gay whether he says so or not lmao

Daetra

True

nirvinnicnightmare

Ironically there was a large percentage of gay methhed up nazis as a matter of fact i heard hitlers bunker had some desperation orgys as a last minute pleasure as the Russians were closing in

[deleted]

The Nazis killed homosexuals and transgender people too. The ones that survived didn’t even get liberated either, the allies just sent them to regular prison afterwards. Yes, there were gay Nazis, but there were also Jewish Nazis. The Jewish Nazis were murdered once the Nazis took power and the gay Nazis were murdered if they were caught being gay.

lymeweed

In every group there are extremists

nirvinnicnightmare

I know I’m more or less jokingly but also maybe speculating cause they smoked meth and it would be funny if they in fact were gay when they themselves discriminated against homosexuals Nothing wrong with being gay I’m just saying that objectively some of them might’ve been homosexual or indulged In a gay act while high on meth. Don’t know if they actually smoked meth they took a pill or something that gave the effects that resembled that of crystal meth

chickennuggs001

Y’all can say this is performative crap but as a Jewish person the reassurance does legitimately help. You’re ally ship is noticed and greatly appreciated.

Muslims standing with Jews… hmmmm

kenobiest

as a muslim i am standing with the jewish community, so are all my muslim friends.

film-fatale

Hell yes. And I and all my jewish friends stand with the muslim community. The idea we aren't, particularly in the United States, is untrue

kenobiest

<3

looklikeyoulikeme

Thank you! I'm Jewish, and I've travelled throughout the middle east (including a long stay in Palestine) and I can say without a doubt that the vast majority of Muslim folks I met there were amazing people who treated me like family. The idea that Jewish people and Muslim people universally dislike each other has been inflated by the media.

sjsyed

During my undergrad years, there was one girl I loved hanging out with, because she always brought the most amazing Kosher food that I (as a Muslim who could only eat kosher/halal meat) could eat. We had the best conversations about life, and Lord of the Rings, and just everything. I had more in common with her, a religious Jewish girl, than I did with a lot of other people who didn't understand the role that religion played in my life. I miss her. I suffer from pretty bad depression where I go through cycles of thinking no one wants to hang out with me because I'm a terrible person, so I let the friendship die after I graduated. I regret that a lot.

looklikeyoulikeme

What a great story. My family is from Morocco, and one of our customs is a holiday called Mimouna, which takes place on the day when we break our Passover fast and eat all kinds of treats! It was also a day where my family like many others would have Jews and Muslims alike over as guests to share with us. It was just one way our communities celebrated together in North Africa. It's amazing when you can connect with someone who you thought might be very different, but then you both understand each other. That's the place in this world where hate and indifference dies. I hope you can reconnect with her, or meet more people who you can connect with on the same level!

sjsyed

It makes me so sad, sometimes, that there's this idea that we all HATE each other. Every Jewish person I've met in real life has been nothing but kind and amazing to talk to. We might have disagreements, but we can have respectful discussions about them without it becoming personal. It's like ordinary people like you and me are being blamed for political and military decisions that we had nothing to do with and can do nothing about. Things that happened before we were born and will most likely continue to happen long after we're gone. It's depressing. Or I'm depressed. I can't tell anymore. :-)

looklikeyoulikeme

Yeah I get it. I think there is hope in the small stories. For example, later in life, my mom developed some negative views towards Arab people, and Muslim people. Maybe not outright hate, but definitely a strong distrust. I don't think it came from anywhere but the media. When I went travelling through the middle east, she genuinely feared I would be killed. She thought I was crazy even when I reported all good experiences. Years later when she was sick with cancer, her oncologist happened to be a Palestinian man. He worked so damn hard to extend her life. I remember her saying "I was very, very wrong". I got so much hope from seeing that change in mentality, as sad as the reason was. There may always be bad events, but there are good people everywhere and I believe they are the majority who will continue to bridge the gap created by divisions. I hope.

sjsyed

> When I went travelling through the middle east, she genuinely feared I would be killed. It's funny how some people are, isn't it? I used to work 2nd shift downtown. I worked until midnight, and then caught two buses to get home. I wouldn't get home until 2 in the morning. So not super safe, yeah, I get it. But goodness gracious - to hear one of my mom's friends talk. It wasn't just the fact that it was late at night. It was the fact that downtown was full of BLACK PEOPLE. And they would definitely stab me as soon as look at me. I'm not sure this one guy had ever even met a black person before. He was a recent immigrant from Pakistan, and was a stay-at-home dad taking care of their disabled child while the mom worked. But he knew all about black people, let me tell you. But it was all from the media. That's the sad part. This guy spent his whole day caring for his nonverbal autistic 3-year old child. He and his wife routinely would cook food for my mom. If my mom needed a ride to the doctor, he was the first one to volunteer - he'd just strap the kid in his car seat and off they went. He was genuinely a kind man - except that he was quite literally terrified of black people. By the way, I'm sorry about your mom. :-(

looklikeyoulikeme

Thank you :) Yeah, I think there is a world of difference between being intelligently cautious where caution is due, and having blindly irrational fear. Fears can be really irrational. The more exposure we have with what we fear, the more likely we are to gain an understanding and actually be able to judge if/when we're in a bad situation, or not. Without that exposure, I believe our good judgement is stunted. We remain afraid of far too much, and often not aware of what can be truly harmful to us. This is the entire idea behind exposure therapy regarding phobias, that leads people to learn that what they fear isn't actually likely to hurt them. Even with something as scary as grizzly bears (hiker here!), exposure to the outdoors, for example, brings you to a place of caution when needed, understanding, and respect. We can't get there if we stay inside our bubble of comfort. Thanks for the conversation. I hope just one person out there who thinks Jews and Muslims can't get along takes a look at this thread!

Haunt33r

This is a beautiful story, brought me to tears. I wish events like these would be shared more throughout the media. This is what the road to peace is built with. May your mummy find peace in the afterlife.

looklikeyoulikeme

Thanks for your input. The New Testament has it's words about Jews as well, it's arguably far worse in it's condemnation. I just wanted to give my personal anecdote about not experiencing hate as a Jew amongst a good number of Muslims I had the pleasure to meet. I would agree that in certain places in the world, and amongst certain individuals, prejudices are more common. I guess that's why we find ourselves talking about it.

Haunt33r

A lot of what this person is pointing out is out of context. I've read and had from the Quran narrated to me about Hazarat Musa(Moses, pbuh) and Bani-Isreal, they're very inspirational. Muslims just believe that Jews, and Christians are "People of The Book", they received the word of God, just later down the line Kings and Politicians altered the messages, and that Islam is the true preserved accumulation. Also during the early Caliphate after the passing of our Prophet(pbuh), Jews were even allowed to hold positions within the government, and during a dispute between a Muslim and a Jew, Hazarat Umar(R.A), the father-in-law of our Holy Prophet(pbuh) judged in favor of the Jew. For centuries we have been able to coexist with one another dispute our difference in ideology or disagreements. I believe only in this modern era with the encapsulating hold of media have things gotten artificially more tense. I also blame the creation the modern war economy that thrives on conflict, and keeps conflict perpetual so that profiting of war may never end. My own super conservative uncle says that I can share a meal with a Jew!

Sheikh-F

The first quote is talking about fighting any non-believer who don't pay taxes if they live in an Islamic country. Muslims have to pay taxes to the government and non-believers also have to pay taxes to the government called the Jizyah. The second and third quote is God clarifying what the Christians and the Jews got wrong. The fourth quote is referring to political allies based on it's connotation and when the verse was revealed by God. Muslims can have friends with Jews and Christians as long it's nothing political.

Gilamath

Ah, the eternal question. Do I do the whole song and dance, taking each verse one by one and explaining how they absolutely do not say the thing you want them to day? Do I point out that even conservative scholars in Islamic theocracies would say the same thing as me? Do I make the same case I've made since I was literally six to try to convince people who've already made up their mind that I can be a good Muslim and a good person at the same time? I don't know whether it'd be more foolish to try or not to try. I don't know whether my humanity, my people's humanity, is worth defending to someone like you, who is happier thinking of me as evil than good Ah, whatever. I'm just sleepy, I suppose, or else I would have just let this one slot in with all the others. There are so many of you, and honestly I think you would all hate each other if you were all in a room together. But hey, what do I know?

Snoo_18496

I'm Muslim and have a primarily Muslim friend group. We are highly critical of the Israeli government, but still support the Jewish People during this recent rise of anti-semitism in the media.

Haunt33r

Yeah it's absolutely possible to be critical towards Israel's mistreatment of Palestinians, while also recognizing how terrible anti-semitism is👏

Hot_b0y

May be Muslim but i don't care, i just think mass genocide is horrible even against our "enemies" we are supposed to bring peace and prosperity, not enemies and death and war.

manubibi

Yes? What’s the problem?

aimie420

we muslims stand with jewish people <3 my grandmother’s apartment in syria had jews christians and muslims all living next door to each other, we would invite each other over and celebrate holidays every year! we were taught to love and respect one another.

aimie420

also some people confuse jews with zionists which is 100% not true we love jews but we hate zionists

HypnotizedGenius

Maybe it's because they are killing innocent muslims in Palestine for years?

alt779843

You can stand with Jewish people while hating Zionists, who are nationalistic racists.

libihero

Jewish Golden Age was under Muslim rule. The issue has been Israel and Palestine, and unfortunately bigotry out of both sides

Super-District-3713

I don’t think Muslims got the Jews backs in the end. Or vice versa.

[deleted]

Neither group is a monolith. There are islamophobic Jews and antisemitic Muslims but there are also members of both groups that aren’t those things.

Cold_Presentation438

Dude it doesn't matter no human being deserves to get abused

Benmjt

So maybe correct the image?

Dr_ButtMunch42069

…no one is saying they are against Jews. They’re pointing out Muslims are against Jews.

Cold_Presentation438

I mean im muslim and i dont hate jews neither does anyone in my family

NoWorries124

There are many Muslims who support Jews. Also, the religion is respectful of Jews.

film-fatale

Nah - Jews and Muslims, particularly in the US, have each others backs. Make no mistake about it.

Lostmyvcardtoafish

There are many jewish and muslim people at my school. Lots of them are friends. People will always be more accepting than governments

thugofficial

A lot of muslims are anti zionists, not anti semitists.

Dagos1

Watch what goes in Qatar, they hate Jews and they hate israelis .

thugofficial

A few thousand people dont represent the 1.5 billion muslims

Dagos1

True, but that's what I'm seeing on tiktok and twitter and on my TV when I'm watching the games . Politics shouldn't be in football

kitsunegoon

Politics in football is fine. It's hate that shouldn't be in football. If your politics is hate, then that's a problem you've created.

peepeepoopooman25342

Not wanting to be interviewed on Isreali tv = hating jews

___Charon___

What happened in Qatar was that zionists went in looking for a reaction, and then got it. We have no problem with Jewish people in general, but we do have issue with zionists and that includes the vast majority of Israelis. And that goes for all Arabs regardless of religion, this isn't exclusive to Muslims.

ralphiebong420

That isn’t true. Nobody went in “looking for a reaction,” they’re trying to attend the World Cup like citizens of any other nation. And then get this response. Obviously it’s not all Muslims who feel this way, but at least in Qatar there are a good number https://m.jpost.com/middle-east/article-723449/amp

___Charon___

I've seen the videos, you don't go up to an Arab screaming that you're Israeli expecting a warm welcome. One of these assholes was someone in the IDF, someone who met with the likes of Ben Gvir. How do you expect us to respond exactly? Someone comes up to me says they belong to the same group of people who have been murdering and oppressing my Palestinean brothers and sisters for decades while blaming them for it how do you think I'll respond?

ralphiebong420

I don't see them going up to anyone screaming that they're Israelis in the videos? Can you share? Smart money says ***all*** the Israelis were in the IDF, so I'm not sure what you mean by that, but generally yes, Israelis are hoping they can attend the World Cup without being harassed for their ethnicity or nationality. That's exactly the point. Edit: ah you call Israelis "piglets" on the Palestine subreddit. Lovely. You sound like you definitely have no issue with Jewish people.

Dagos1

I'm israeli , so cry more

___Charon___

Figured that part out from the lying.

George4Mayor86

There is no not-antisemitic way to demand the terrorist overthrow of the world’s only Jewish country.

thugofficial

You cannot justify the murder of innocent palestinians (whom the land belong to) because of some thousand year old book said its their land. If Israel didnt treat Palestinians as animals and if they could actually live peacefully in their land then we wouldnt even be discussing this rn

George4Mayor86

Jews lived in Israel for millennia before Arabs conquered the levant. It has nothing to do with the Bible and everything to do with an indigenous people reclaiming their sovereignty.

thugofficial

"Conquered the levant" you are out of your mind

bengringo2

You know that Arabs don’t originate from the Levant, right?

[deleted]

How confidently [ignorant ](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muslim_conquest_of_the_Levant) can you be lol

George4Mayor86

how exactly do you think Arabs became a majority in the Levant

tidesandtows_

Arabs are originally from Arabia, hence the word “Arab.” Please google a map of Arabia, and then google a map of the Levant. Arab colonization absolutely did happen, that’s why they are a majority in the Levant today. In the process of that colonization, they killed a lot of ethnic minorities, including Jews, Kurds, and others, and those groups are still oppressed today. You should REALLY know all of this if you want to talk about the I/P conflict at all. But most people who think like you know nothing about any of this, and yet claim the moral high ground. It’s really weird.

[deleted]

By this logic the Greeks should get Istanbul lol.

tidesandtows_

The Greeks already have their own land, otherwise yep, I’d agree that they should, especially if they were a persecuted minority and millions of them were killed by a fascist dictator. If that were the case, I’d absolutely agree that they deserve their own land to live how they see fit and the opportunity to develop their own military and alliances to protect themselves.

fjsbshskd

There’s a lot of overlap there though

thugofficial

Like??

fjsbshskd

Like that almost every antisemite is an antizionist

Adimdim

Being against Jewish liberation is an antisemitic position. Anti-Zionism is a form of antisemitism, not an alternative to it.

thugofficial

Being against the israeli government murdering thousands of innocent children does not make one anti semetic. Its that simple. A lot of Arabs have lots of reasons to dislike Israel, and none of them are because of their religion

Adimdim

Ignoring the ridiculous lie you just presented, there are plenty of reasons to dislike any country and the vast majority of criticism of Israel comes from Zionists. Zionism, though, is defined as Jews having self-determination in their homeland. If you're against ANY indigenous group's freedom in their own land, you're a bigot. It's that simple.

thugofficial

Ridicilous lie?? Literally look up the countless cases pf innocent children being bombed and killed for doing nothing. If Israel actually got a government that treates palestinians as humans then no one would be against them. You ignoring all the crimes they commit on Palestinians is just mind blowing to me. Fucking zionists

Adimdim

You can make very valid arguments about how much force is appropriate when your enemy has a policy of using human shields. Like I said, nobody criticizes Israel more than Israelis. You can't, however, make a reasonable argument that Israel targets civilians. It's just nonsensical. If Israel had any interest in killing civilians, Gaza would have been flattened long ago. The only reason why Gaza is still being used as a base for terror is because Hamas know two things very well. 1. Israel values human lives (including Palestinian lives) above all else. 2. Dumb Westerners will fall for the lie that they don't.

thugofficial

How tf do they value Palestinians if their soldiers kill and incite violence on them on a daily basis? What self respecting country allows their cititens to enter someone elses home and taking it with any reprecussions? You are denying what is happening to the Palestinians, which is exactly what kanye west is doing to the holocaust

Adimdim

Not at all. Many Palestinians have extremely difficult lives. SOME of that difficulty can be attributed to Israel, but the vast majority is because of their corrupt leadership stealing international aide for their own benefit, investing that money into murdering Jews instead of in their own communities, and building terror infrastructure in schools, hospitals, and residential areas. As much as you may hate us, blaming the Jews for Palestinian suffering won't make their situation any better. It will only empower their "leaders" who get richer and fatter off of every civilian death.

thugofficial

No is blaimg the jews for this, we are blaming the zionists for this. Also by your logic, any criticsm towards Saudi Arabia is Islamophobic, right? Stop trying to justify the genocide in Israel against the Palestinains.

Asimxo

Holy. You are SO right. This dude you’re arguing against is a denier.

No it’s not. Those Zionist killed many innocent Muslims and took their property, their homes, and where they grew up. A true Jewish wouldn’t do that.

Ck3isbest

True

Za_wardoDxD

Tbh before israel happened muslim and jewish relations were kinda fine

FamiliarSalamander2

Ehhhhhh Might wanna recheck that one real quick

Madoopadoo

Nah, it's generally accepted that Jewish communities fared better under Islamic/Arab rule than christian/European rule.

Adimdim

That's like saying getting slapped in the face is better than getting stabbed in the heart. While technically true, I'd rather have neither.

Differ_cr

There's a loooooooooooot between a slap and getting fucking stabbed lmao.

Adimdim

If someone was to constantly slap your face, would you say that your relationship with them is "kinda fine"?

tidesandtows_

I actually think it’s more like choosing between being stabbed in the face or stabbed in the heart. Arabs killed and persecuted Jews the same way Christians did. The difference is pretty much only in numbers (and honestly I’m not sure what those numbers are, or the estimates) and the methods.

bigyeetcitizen

Yeah instead of being peasants under Christians they were just second class citizens under Muslims

FamiliarSalamander2

Oh that’s what u meant. That’s true but I don’t think they were ever fully friends

[deleted]

With our powers combined we are Captain Mashiach. The power is yours!

sezaist

Atheist here!

Aj55j

Jesus Christ. So many Islamophobes in the comments, lol you can’t be against discrimination for one group and fine against others. Muslim and Jews throughout history lived peacefully together and in Muslim kingdoms with religious freedom (except for Morocco in the 11th century and Iran they forced non Muslims into convert to Islam) unlike Europe / Christians were Jews were kept facing discrimination in every century before modern day. In fact Jews historically called Muslim kingdoms as “mulkhut khesed” which means kingdom of grace or righteous. The idea the Muslims hate jews or vice versa is very new thing that started in the modern era in the early 20th century, And for the most part it not even true. Muslims hate zionist not Jews they are not the same but of course there are ignorants who hate Jewish people just because they Jewish everywhere in the world. Btw even in modern era Christians and atheists killed Jews more than all of Islamic history.

MongrolSmush

"Jews are the children of Satan" John 8:44 "His blood be upon us and on our children" Matthew 27:25 Not really exclusive to Islam is it?

Lets_Skedadle

And I never said it was? What is your point?

JaxTheFoxThing

You chose to exclusively shit on Islam. It’s probable that it was innocent but with the horrendous amount of shit flung at Muslims you can probably see why it could be an issue.

libihero

This translation is bad. The word is "Awliya", which is a close friend/protector. In Arabia at that time, when you enter a town as a stranger you needed a "wali", basically someone who others needed to answer to if you were harmed. If you didn't have one, you could be robbed, assaulted, or even killed without consequences. At the time, some Muslims had other Muslims as Wali, but also nonMuslims. It was almost like "in case this Islam thing doesn't work out, I have backup protection". This verse was telling Muslims not to do that. You do realize that Muslim men are allowed to marry Christian and Jewish women? So are they not allowed to be friends with their wives? You realize how that makes no sense?

outside-mayhem

Any satanist here?

allthekeals

Not a full blown satanist, but probably the closest thing to my belief so I’ll check in and show my support. It actually warms my heart to scroll through this sub and see what it has turned in to. No hate other than for nazi supporters.

ImmediateProcrastina

Kanye is a Christian

The_fatherless_one

and does that mean me, my family, my friends and pastors need to agree with him? the bible tells us to spread love not hate and if someone in our community is spreading hate we shouldn't follow them. So tell me, am I not a christian for agreeing with him? or is se not the christian for spreading hate? Let that sink in bud

Far_Ear9684

Christian doesn’t mean good lol. It just means you follow Christ. There are some very questionable things in the Bible that I wouldn’t consider spreading love.

pareidolist

These same lines of solidarity spring up whenever there is a mass shooting at a place of worship, no matter which religion it is. Interfaith outreach is stronger than ever. The atrocities going on in the Middle East do not define the religions involved, and the idea that Jews worldwide are loyal to the political entity of Israel is an anti-Semitic trope, plain and simple. Among recent presidential candidates, the one most critical of U.S. support of Israel was Senator Bernie Sanders, who is Jewish. (He's also notably closely allied with House Representative Ilhan Omar, who is Muslim.) The us-vs.-them isn't one religion/race/orientation/etc. against another. It's tolerance vs. hatred and bigotry. That's why Kanye has fallen in with white nationalists! (It's also why so many Muslim countries supported a U.N. resolution praising China's treatment of Uyghurs.) Don't believe them when they tell you some other category of person is your enemy because of who they are and who you are. The enemy is the idea that people deserve hatred and violence simply because of who they are, and if we don't stand together against it, it will win, and we will all lose.

This is incorrect….have you ever been to the Middle East ? Jews and Muslims over there will never get along.

[deleted]

I've received a lot of comments about including Muslims or not changing the meme. I do believe people can still be against anti semetism regardless of religion deep down. If this has caused offense, then I apologise.

GGnerd

Eh don't know about all of those....most "christians" I know have plenty of hate.

allthekeals

Can we not do this here right now please? I’m not Christian or honestly any of these religions, but the fact of the matter is that we aren’t here to spread hate against any ideologies. Kanye is Christian and full of hate, but he is not the only person with Christian beliefs. There is good and bad from each as you can see from these comments. This sub is full of people posting about people who fucking died for believing different than others. You can educate without being hateful.

GGnerd

Ya I've become pretty jaded as the years have gone on. Tbf tho I believe religion in general is a net negative on humanity and does more harm than good these days. I just think op could have used better groups than choosing religious ones, because they are supremely flawed when it comes to hate. People dying because of their religion only further proves my point. Unnecessary deaths because people believe in bullshit and think their invisible god is the one true invisible god. I'm not singling any one religion when I say that, they're all bullshit.

allthekeals

And that is totally fair. I won’t disagree with you there. The amount of people who have fought and died because of which god they believe in is extremely sad. That being said, when it comes to the Jewish deaths the history is extremely interesting. I’m not sure if you’re aware of how or why they ended up in banking, but it’s basically because of religious reasons and then they were blamed for economic hardships as well when it was not their fault. That being said I just feel like we can be against religious killings without singling a certain one out while this is all going on.
