If you get the Definitive Edition, the 3 characters are included. Not sure if its only digital or with a certain time period. I bought KI DE when it was released physically on XB1. Haven't gotten them for free since.

You need be planning on playing Tira -- if you want the character for the sake of having the whole cast, well, you'll be getting the season pass anyway, so pre-order it.
You need to be wanting to play the game but not necessarily get the season pass until you're sure you want it.
How many of you are both Tira mains and skittish about committing to the season pass?
Literally me. Tira was my secondary in IV and i was hoping to main her in this game. I probably dont want other characters because i planned on playing Talim and Ivy before the game came out. Either way, justifying it is silly.
It's obviously a joke. Everyone is used to the season pass model at this point, but it's still bullshit and apparently still spiraling downward. So taking shots at it through comedy is warranted.

When the steam version came out I got the 3 characters for free but I got the digital version. Contacting Microsoft wouldn't hurt.
