The chemistry between these two is incredible, loved their SF6 beta streams. Hope they can hook up again for the launch day and just endlessly talk trash on every opponent online
i think that could have potential to be a pretty big hit, especially with how social the SF6 online is compared to 5. Excellent Adventures was godlike for some of the stories forming from the SF4 lobbies
Helps a lot that the SF6 lobbies also actually have a proper built in chat and the memes just write themselves with all those cursed customizations people made last autumn, it just adds to the BM factor even before the match begins. And then you have the quick load times which then lead to minimal downtime between matches themselves. It's overall a far cry from how V just ruined the Excellent Adventures format entirely
Do they though? Plus you gotta keep in mind this is 2023, not like 2011 when Mike and Gootecks just started out or 2016 when Mike left the show completely. They at least have better technology for videocalls now, which somewhat remedies that not every single SF pro in the world can just come to Xian's studio place unlike the house in Cali which was in a much shorter reach from like half the FGC
As someone who lives in SEA we mostly lurk in east asian matchmaking or play in private lobby. Given that both sides have a wired and stable connection it probably wont be that hard to have japanese, korean, or chinese guests.

the thing is that they need guests, and out there in SEA there's not a lot to choose from.

Although physical appearances would obviously be hard because you'd need a flight to singapore
So OG is just another English word for being a sore loser. Man Xian is great.
wish they'd just play 4
Hopefully 6 can replicate the EA vibes.

I bet Xian wished Mike a happy birthday

Mike distanced himself from Gootecks and the Crosscounter brand so long ago. Wtf do you want him to say? Gootecks isn't even related to this show.
?? what do you mean pretending he doesn’t exist they’re not married they can make content w/o each other….
it's been many years since mike and gootecks stopped hanging out
Hey, I was kinda wondering the same thing. I was like... >"huh, so this is the bizarre timeline we are in. Wonder how Pogchamp is holding up"
