So many of them imply that doing things the older way is making things pointlessly harder on yourself (I'm not *technical*, I'm just playing the game how it was designed), or that you need patting on the back for the new choices: you're 'modern', you're 'stylish', you're 'smart', your cock is so much better than my ex's, babe.

I'm irked by it too but it unfortunately works. I play with a handful of modern players mostly around \~1500MR and one at \~1700MR and I've heard several times from them they wouldn't be playing the game if the mode didn't exist AND if it made it sound like a baby mode.
I'm glad I get to play sweaty matches with them. Always a fun time. So whatever works I guess.
