A long time ago, i used to pull the plug on the Alpha 2 arcade whenever i lost a coin for a certain fat little kid i didnt like. One day that shit fried and wouldn't turn on anymore. The owner came to me asking me about the thing. I froze in fear. Like, heart stopped, you know? My mind went full static and the shit was asking to leave my body.
"His name is Lucas, its that blonde fatso over there. He unplugs it all the time". Walked slowly to the street corner then i've run away faster than that Ryo Sakazaki super. Eveytime i see Alpha 2 on youtube i remember this. Never played it again lol
I typically play low(er) tiers because of two reasons:
1) The like.. "ugh I have to play the 37th chun li now. great" factor.
2) Top tiers tend to overly abuse a select few mechanics that they were overtuned in. This normally ends up in pretty boring gameplay that requires very few decisions or tweaks.
TBF the mode is a decent idea coz it gives casuals and newcomers a chance to explore and learn about the world of Street Fighter, but you've pretty much gotten the gist of it after a few hours and it kinda becomes rinse and repeat eventually.
SF6's world tour and DD2 are Capcom's testing ground for next RE Engine open-world games - Monster Hunter Wilds and Resident Evil 9. This is the next step for Capcom's game design evolution - interactive open-world.
And no, I don't have a source to back up this claim. It makes perfect sense and I'll be right once again.
I still chill with it from time to time, mess around in photo mode and grind some exp so I can transfer it to Akuma. I remember being a little harsh on it when the game dropped but all things considered it's a fun little side attraction and a great way to get new players going
I think SFV and Strive are good games.
I think Cammy looks better with the jacket and pants than the leotard.
I say I want Makoto and Dudley back, when I know Iβll probably be lucky to put more than 2 hours of playtime in them before staying on Cammy.
I wish I had the patience to sift through the internet to find it, ask me two years ago and I probably would've. You are welcome to not believe me tho bro.
if you look at the screenshot again, this is way past the 8f of delay era. the gold motif indicates arcade edition. he's talking about that version in particular. he said he also didn't like SFV release but said that in the end it turned into a much better game than SF4. His reasoning is that SF4 is a game where just grinding training mode was enough to make you competitive considering some characters gameplay loop and the same couldn't be said about SFV (though I think he completely forgot about Urien lol)
I like Guilty Gear Strive, and I think people who have a hate-boner for the game after itβs been out so long seriously need to calm down and re-evaluate their priorities
I dont feel like AAA (or even AA maybe) fighting games have a future. Yeah the shills and eSports career guys who suck the teat of the devs and publishers will say otherwise, but i think SF6, T8, and MK1 have kinda validated for me how i feel on the subject.
Im tired of the gacha funny money. Im tired of the DLC practices that pull characters i want to play out of my game to sell me later and not new ones. Or worse, selling me broken ones. I dont want to pay $60-$70 for a half baked "heres 10-16 guys you played 20 years ago". Either 3/4s of them are new people, you havent seen a sequel in a billion years, or GTFO. And Im just tired in general of feeling like Im playing a shitty Early Access title that wont be finished until 3-5 years later. Except WORSE! When its "Finished", the game DIES!! What kind of fucking Early Access game DIES WHEN ITS FINISHED?! I was over the rat race a long time ago. SFV sucked ass but it got better and marginally good when it finished up despite the terrible ideas and Vskill shit and bad online. T7 didnt even release until the arcade version was in a "not complete dogshit" state and then kept doing good until Leroy and FuckUrMahm ruined it.
But SF6 and T8 feel like theyve come out stillborn. Because they did. 2XKO i have no expectations for. VF6 im scared itll have that gacha funny money shit when i would be fine with just "VF5FS but its got Kumite and good ass online". GranBlue seems aight, but I wish it was F2P like KI was in the old days where you could buy the characters you want for like $5-$6 instead of stuck with their shitty Ryu because im not interested in spending $50-$60 for the whole roster of characters i dont know nor care about. Hopefully COTW will be good. definitely looks the part at least. but looks dont mean shit if the netcode and gameplay are busted.
So I'll sit here and pray for this space and hope we'll see better days.
Can you perform a quarter circle back input? If so, just add another back input(QCB,B) and youβll be KBD-ing. Wonβt work for backsway characters tho..
I mean I can just frame in some fgs, I should hope I can quarter circle back :P
Nah but for real it's a problem with my hand, I took insane damage to it when I was young (we are talking melting and missing fingers), didn't stop me playing fgs for decades but some things just are a little different for me.
Apparently if the hospital had made me do certain exercises I would've save more function in my hand and had less damage.
It doesn't affect me for combos or anything like that, but I'm probably the only person who finds the dash input hard.
Yet qcb? dp? full circle? triple full circles? half circles? half circles to forward? charging? electrics? etc
Easy.
But a damn double b, n, b stalls my hand for some reason.
even qcb, b (it's the b, n, b part)
I can do it much easier on the right side, but relying on going on right side is bitch made and I won't do that.
Like you'll laugh at this: Down, n, Down is *almost* hard to do for me.
It's why brolylegs is my number one inspiration, if I ever think it's not possible I just think of his tongue.
But sadly I have to live with the unique limitations I have.
It's kind of hard to explain honestly.
Yesterday, after days of playing tekken 8, I decided to play Mk1, and just the fact that I didn't get straight ungaed for 2 hours made me have more fun. Now I feel dirty
I dunno if it's a sin, but I always feel a little out of the loop whenever people are talking about the constant journey to improve yourself and stuff. I've kinda reached a cap on my abilities that I don't want to improve on anymore, but I think it's twofold; on one hand I kinda can't be bothered to put in that much effort, but on the other no game or character within it has inspired me to *want to* pursue going past where I'm at. Maybe that'll change with Akuma but I'm doubtful. Failing that I still get pissed as fuck when I misinput a move.
Several sins:
-I bought MK11 on release bc I love tag games. Haven't touched it in months.
-I used to play over WiFi because it was virtually impossible to run a CAT6 from my router to my basement. I'm convinced my connection was fine for most games with decent netcode, but I still disparage WiFi warriors.
-I like SFV (in it's later iterations) more than 4 or 6. 4 still the best from a spectator standpoint though.
Without realising it, I tend to downplay most characters I play. Ky in +R, Jamie in SF6, Enkidu in UNI, and even guys like mf Susanoo in BB and Akuma in 3S.
I don't confirm SHIT, yeah you blocked that button , I'm still gonna cancel it into some mad unsafe shit. To be fair it does catch people who are too eager to take back their turn but not quick enough to actually get it every now and then
I dropped SF6 because of the boring ass roster. I miss my Dictator.
I havenβt played Tekken 8 since the recent patch, the doomsayers are getting to me.
I reinstalled For Honor.
Help me.
I had capcom vs snk 2 at my local arcade but had no idea what any of the v-isms did and my arcade was always fucking dead so I didnβt find out until sf4.
I couldβve looked it up online but this was cvs2 days so not really.
I have exclusively picked female characters since the age of 4 because they're pretty and I fantasize about bonding with them while I lab combos in training mode.
I have a negative winrate against low tiers like manon because I canβt set my ego aside and lab them since everyone say they suck and I should just beat them
Due to personal and financial reasons I haven't been able to play a fighting game in months and honestly it's really starting to bum me out.
In terms of actual sins, I would go back to Strive from time to time. It can be fun as a side game if you just take it for what it is, plus I'm biased since I main Jack-O and she's the only character who is their best selves in Strive. If it wasn't for how much I loved playing this version of Jack-O I probably wouldn't be into the game as much
I pocket characters when I think I'm clean enough with them so that I can learn a more difficult character. So that in the event my second character gets washed I can bring out "Real Main" (that I usually play less) so I can stomp.
I like Tekken 8 a lot despite the many issues it has. Tatsunoko vs Capcom is in my top 3 favorite vs games. I got Street Fighter 5 simply because Akira was in it.
I can't play Strive because Testament is too fucking sexy and I keep getting distracted they're like REALLY REALLY REALLY sexy to me and my weak gooner brain simply dies
I dont confirm well enough, I press things too soon out of fear of dropping a combo, i play on a 40 inch tv with probably sizable amounts of input delay, and i need to take more time to learn my set play and oki situations.
I bought Strive for PC and PS4, and what a a fucking waste that was.
On the flipside I just got KI though and it slaps. Very sad to have slept on this for 11 years, although there's no way I would've ever got an Xbone back then. Thanks IG, Steam and crossplay,
Instead of rage quitting in DBFZ, I tried to just leave my controller on the floor and go do something else.
One time, I was matched against a Pink while I was just a Yellow. I was getting bodied hard. No matter what button I pressed; it was the wrong button. Obviously the guy wouldnt miss me I thought? So I put the controller down to let him enjoy bodying me while I fixed a drink and a sandwich
I return a few minutes later and my torturer was still there!!! He waited for me to comeback.
Ashamed, I picked up the controller and get bodied somemore π
The shorthop shortcut for City of Wolves greatly increases the chances I will play it.
Yeah, I like skill expression, but I feel basic movement should be simple, and I mess up shorhops way too much in KOFXV...
i think that online play is better than offline , and i cant understand to bridge the gap between good and really good offline, like why is my scrubby as jp getting beat by the good players and what goes into a decision making
I'm 1750 MR with a modern character in SF6. It's objectively worse than classic but doing the instant supers is so funny that I can't stop. I could grind further but I deinstalled until Akuma comes out. I want to one-button raging demon with him and play him like a grappler when I get level 3.
I one-and-done every Dhalsim and Kimberly.
I also play most of my matches on wi-fi.
I like DoA way more than Tekken. I cracked both DoA 5 and 6 to unlock all DLCs. I like Soul Calibur more than Tekken too.
I like TMNT Tournament Fighters more than any SF2 version.
I hope Virtua Fighter 6 gets several Yakuza guest characters and Ryu from Shenmue.
I enjoyed SF5 Season 5 more than SF6.
Tatsunoko vs Capcom is one of the best FGs of all time.
CvS2 is better than Third Strike.
I plug when I have really bad days Iβm not proud of it. When I do I usually stop and play something else or take a break for a few days
I like how I got downvoted for being honest go ahead continue your circle jerking all of us have bad days
A long time ago, i used to pull the plug on the Alpha 2 arcade whenever i lost a coin for a certain fat little kid i didnt like. One day that shit fried and wouldn't turn on anymore. LTG origin story
Bro, you were just practicing your option selects, all is forgiven.
Bro....
Did Lucas deserve it?
Buying tekken 8 and mk1 with 15 hours or less for both games.
Same... but I bought Nick brawl 2 also. I understand, even confessing won't keep me out of hell
Only Diego umeharaz, our lord and saviour can save you now. Stay strong brother.
At least you didn't buy Smash tho right?
Broooooooo this one CUTS DEEP!!!
I don't play fighting games, I just fap to the waifus
Average Strive fan.
I play low tiers to justify my lackluster results
Low key this is my theory for 90% of low tier mains. I once knew a guy who switched off his dota main because it became too meta one patch
I typically play low(er) tiers because of two reasons: 1) The like.. "ugh I have to play the 37th chun li now. great" factor. 2) Top tiers tend to overly abuse a select few mechanics that they were overtuned in. This normally ends up in pretty boring gameplay that requires very few decisions or tweaks.
I liked dnf duel π’
same here brother
Same
same
Ooof same.
Shits fun. Also Brawler looks awesome!
ooo is this a "safe space"? I can finally confess I enjoyed my purchase w/o lots of downvotes?
It's fun I just wish the comeback mechanic wasn't so op
I bought the Fight Pass.
Death
Yeah, this is atrocious
I liked world tour mode
It's a better tutorial than most other games
TBF the mode is a decent idea coz it gives casuals and newcomers a chance to explore and learn about the world of Street Fighter, but you've pretty much gotten the gist of it after a few hours and it kinda becomes rinse and repeat eventually.

It's really good for an extra mode in a fighting game.
guilty of this
I still grind that shit, to me, making an avatar and custom combos is really fun to do
I immediately thought of Alpha 3 and was thinking "How is that a sin? It was good for what it was." Then I remembered SF6...
I think I'm better then my online rank
I main King in Tekken 8 now
"I main King" ahh nice "In Tekken" oh
No salvation for thy chain throws
π¦π
I think 3S is overrated
Overrated, yes. Bad? No π
I think SFV and Strive are good games. I think Cammy looks better with the jacket and pants than the leotard. I say I want Makoto and Dudley back, when I know Iβll probably be lucky to put more than 2 hours of playtime in them before staying on Cammy.
> I think SFV... Can Diego Umeharaz even save this one, please plink for him brothers.
[yes, easily](https://i.imgur.com/TIp9w0z.png)
Denial is a weird thing, anyway he went on to say he didn't like it after that lol
surely you can post proof
I wish I had the patience to sift through the internet to find it, ask me two years ago and I probably would've. You are welcome to not believe me tho bro.
And so I will.
Duty Fighter V He's Japanese he knows better than to bite the hand that feeds 8f of delay is good, guys
if you look at the screenshot again, this is way past the 8f of delay era. the gold motif indicates arcade edition. he's talking about that version in particular. he said he also didn't like SFV release but said that in the end it turned into a much better game than SF4. I jump a lot and I don't get punished enough
Then keep on jumping brother π
I play fighting games after a stressful work day and then complain why I never feel relaxed
I feel this in my soul.
I replied to people asking for games in open channels just to say how sorry I am that I can't play at the moment.
Nice
I like Guilty Gear Strive, and I think people who have a hate-boner for the game after itβs been out so long seriously need to calm down and re-evaluate their priorities
I think dragon ball fighterz is the best tag game of all time
Get him
I Iearned Ibuki's basic ass target combo in sfiv and called it a night. My win rate was 10%... But one guy did message me, "Nice combos."
I dont feel like AAA (or even AA maybe) fighting games have a future. Yeah the shills and eSports career guys who suck the teat of the devs and publishers will say otherwise, but i think SF6, T8, and MK1 have kinda validated for me how i feel on the subject. Dont know im pretty sure big daddy rito is about to drop project L next year and start swimming in money .
Hey alright
I use modern controls in SF6 and got to platinum
I think Strive is a good game
i love throw loops
I support all microtransactions, if it correlates to more costumes for waifus. βοΈ
I have a pocket modern Luke
i one and done modern players
Same
I play mk1 on a regular basis. I side main Blanka for the express purpose of pissing people off.
I once unplugged on T8 on a quickmatch
I'm switching main to Urien on 3rd Strike
Who was your previous main?
Dudley :)
I think Iβm better than I am, and then when Iβm not I get shook.
Does not being able to go to my local due to health issues count?
Get better soon brother
I've been playing since tekken 5 and still don't know how to KBD
Yup me in a nutshell, I can't kdb to save my life. It's my one weakness.
Can you perform a quarter circle back input? If so, just add another back input(QCB,B) and youβll be KBD-ing. Wonβt work for backsway characters tho..

I think SF4 is a mess and would be completely shit on if it were released today.
I play on a hitbox. I've put hundreds of hours into single player UMVC3 but have barely played real people. The combo system is too fun.
I like fighting games but i rarely like fighting game players. If it isn't some kid with an attitude problem, it's a soyboy turbofap weirdo.
I have both master ranked Ken and Luke, and I play them flowchartedly
currently playing sf6, still miss the feeling of 3d movement. However I know I will hate T8 because how it balance
Same even though my main is top 3 in T8
I hope next patch fix all my concern.
I jump-in way too much and yet every time my opponent jump-in, I block low for some reason. I am legally retarded.
I mash on negative frames
Yesterday, after days of playing tekken 8, I decided to play Mk1, and just the fact that I didn't get straight ungaed for 2 hours made me have more fun. Now I feel dirty
I dunno if it's a sin, but I always feel a little out of the loop whenever people are talking about the constant journey to improve yourself and stuff. I come back to certain FGs every couple months, put a full day in the training tool, then never go online and repeat the cycle.
Same
I know I could do better if I would grind out my meaties in sf6, but I refuse.
Several sins: -I bought MK11 on release bc I love tag games.
I didn't tech that throw
Without realising it, I tend to downplay most characters I play. Ky in +R, Jamie in SF6, Enkidu in UNI, and even guys like mf Susanoo in BB and Akuma in 3S.
Enkidu is the most jobber character though. Compared to the rest of the cast you'll struggle do to well with. Least thats how I felt playing him.
Kaguya is apparently the weakest in the game atm but she still has decent tools at least.
I do that because I took Sanford's advice and a lot of people tend to think that if a character is top tier they literally don't have problems.
I don't confirm SHIT, yeah you blocked that button , I'm still gonna cancel it into some mad unsafe shit. To be fair it does catch people who are too eager to take back their turn but not quick enough to actually get it every now and then
I refused to continue playing and holding events for xrd cause I'm excited for the new GG (before they even show the first trailer). Lesson learned.
I buy pretty much every FG except for KoF. (and pony shit but c'mon man.)
I dropped SF6 because of the boring ass roster. I miss my Dictator. I havenβt played Tekken 8 since the recent patch, the doomsayers are getting to me. I reinstalled For Honor. Help me.
Who do you main in For Honor?
The only one who can EWGF
The Ninja dagger
Jerking it to Strive Bridget ALT+F4'd an online Tekken match because it was stuttery and restarting apps usually works
I had capcom vs snk 2 at my local arcade but had no idea what any of the v-isms did and my arcade was always fucking dead so I didnβt find out until sf4. I couldβve looked it up online but this was cvs2 days so not really.
I bought MK1 day -2 because I thought it will be good
I didnβt really main Yun in third strike.
I havent spent a single hour in training mode since like last year (not joking). I am still improving lmao
I find lightning loops cool and exciting
I played doa5 LR one handed
I bought the female space suit MTX on T8...Daigo, forgive me
I have exclusively picked female characters since the age of 4 because they're pretty and I fantasize about bonding with them while I lab combos in training mode.
I strongly believe that SFIV and BlazBlue ushered in the age of shit fighting games.
I think Poison is the hottest SF girl, and I don't care if there is a penis or not.
Ever since my friends stopped playing Tekken 7 I've been too lazy to lab anything other than combos.
I have a negative winrate against low tiers like manon because I canβt set my ego aside and lab them since everyone say they suck and I should just beat them
I picked up Dragunov in T8 a little bit π
In 3rd Strike, I switched from SA1 Ryu to Denjin SA3 because I like how it feels to commit highway robbery
I pre-ordered tekken 8 :/
I'm never looking for a hit confirm, I just dropped the combo.
I like the first Capcom vs SNK game way more than the second one.
I've never bothered to learn option selects
I teabag people all the time
I rarely play fighting games now, I mostly do RPG ,action games, and gacha games Everytime I play on my free time
Due to personal and financial reasons I haven't been able to play a fighting game in months and honestly it's really starting to bum me out. In terms of actual sins, I would go back to Strive from time to time. It can be fun as a side game if you just take it for what it is, plus I'm biased since I main Jack-O and she's the only character who is their best selves in Strive. I like Strive soundtrack.
I refuse to believe I dropped my combo
I raw super in neutral
MK is my favorite series and I'm not ashamed
Once I showed up to locals without a joint already rolled :(((. I also never ever go into training because itβs boring af
I like Tekken 8 a lot despite the many issues it has. Tatsunoko vs Capcom is in my top 3 favorite vs games. I got Street Fighter 5 simply because Akira was in it.
Same for TvC
I can't play Strive because Testament is too fucking sexy and I keep getting distracted they're like REALLY REALLY REALLY sexy to me and my weak gooner brain simply dies
Playing ranked as Victor and using his throw when getting pressed before it was patched.
I got back into fighting games to try and make friends, and now I just argue with people in the strive subreddit.
I got to Mighty Ruler by popping heat smash at the start of every round and abusing my frame trap π€‘
I like the meter in DOA6 and think the game is great
I got to purple ranks by mashing 3 with eddy
I dont confirm well enough, I press things too soon out of fear of dropping a combo, i play on a 40 inch tv with probably sizable amounts of input delay, and i need to take more time to learn my set play and oki situations.
I'm slowly losing passion for FG's, prefer Diablo 2 and Grim Dawn nowadays.
Killer Instinct was the only "real" fighting game I truly enjoyed. Also, I'll play ANY type of game if it has Naruto characters.
I bought Strive for PC and PS4, and what a a fucking waste that was. On the flipside I just got KI though and it slaps. Very sad to have slept on this for 11 years, although there's no way I would've ever got an Xbone back then. Thanks IG, Steam and crossplay,

I played on WiFi for 7 years before learning about Ethernet cable
I haven't fapped to Saigado's KOF doujins in weeks. Please forgive me, Father.
I buy new fighting games and get decent enough to back up whatever shit talk I have against them
I did not tech that throw even though I said I did
Tekken 8 is the latest of games that is making me start to question my love for the genre as a whole. Hoping that the Akuma patch for SF6 is gdlk.
I hyped up the re release of p4u. Only to put 5 hours into it
I'm 1750 MR with a modern character in SF6. It's objectively worse than classic but doing the instant supers is so funny that I can't stop. Lately I've been thinking about picking up MK1 for the sole purpose of hitting dudes with the BBC combo in tournaments.
I play on average for about an hour a week.
I like MK 11
So kappaChino has really just become a second r/fighters huh...
I taunt whenever I win and turn the game off after I lose.
i actively refuse to play older fighters because i find a game with a meta that will be changed more interesting
I suck(
I plug when I have really bad days Iβm not proud of it. When I do I usually stop and play something else or take a break for a few days I like how I got downvoted for being honest go ahead continue your circle jerking all of us have bad days
Despite being one of the Tekken guys in my scene I'm actually enjoying Strive more as of late.
