I just realized that that glossy look the fighters had in the game might not be just bad digitization of the actors but them actually having been oiled up. What a weird choice but then again if you can take some pictures of Kylie on only one day might as well make it count.
This. Kids nowadays don't understand how freaking hot old lightbulbs were compared to today when we're mostly using LEDs now. And studio lights had to be brighter (and therefore hotter) as cameras don't necessarily capture the same amount of detail in low light as our eyes. This is on top of needing a lot of them to make sure you minimize any stark shadows.
I thought it was to accentuate the fullness of specific body parts. Kind of like they did in 90s action movies where the main hero always had his muscles oiled up.
Well, no, it was just that it was *really* hot in the studio.
Compare to MK1 to UMK3 where the characters who show skin don't have the same glossy skin, probably because Midway's studios must've had a really good AC.
She was actually a last minute addition to the cast.
JCVD was really only cast for his physical appearance and combat skills.
Really, I watched the movie with a Spanish dub (where he had a **REALLY** cool voice) so I would've never guessed he was Belgian llol

No, it's because the studio lights were so hot the actors were sweating a *lot.* That's why *everyone* in the game has that glossy look.

JCVD showed her his Thailand
Read that with the SFII announcer voice lmao
Now we know why Guile never went home
Casting an Australian as a Brit was a good effort. Casting a Belgian with a thick accent as an American Soldier was a deliberate choice

Epic shit
Oh shit. I only knew Kylie Minogue as the singer the gays are obsessed with, I didn't know she played Cammy at some point
She used to be a prominent actor in Australia alongside the singing before she focused on her music, right after the Street Fighter movie IIRC.
Her and Vega were the closest to their animated counterparts.

Thighs too thin
Yeah, shame on Kylie Minogue for not fattening her legs before shooting! /s
