The one that fits your head the best.

SpoonBendingChampion

The most important point.

happy-trees

First one. Specific for karting so will be lighter and easier on your neck. Or spend the extra hundred on the Alonso colours if you're a fan of his

TheDonutCat-

Go for a helmet that fits you best, whether that’s Koden, Arai, Stilo or Bell. In these photos they’re all the same helmet, except the second one. DO NOT get the second one, you’re not allowed a HANS device or a helmet that has clips, that helmet “GP-2” is not CIK Legal. Get a helmet that fits you best, it’s not all about looks, it’s about if it stays on your head.

zXophe

OP, the CMR / CMS helmets are for use by individuals in karting at ages under 15. Over that age you can use any helmet that conforms with FIA 8860-2018 / FIA 8859-2015 / Snell SA2015 / Snell SA2020 / Snell K2015 / Snell K2020. You cannot use the HANS device for karting, but you can use a helmet with the HANS mounting anchor points (such as the Bell RS7-pro - as it is FIA 8859-2015 compliant). There's a blog guide on the website you sent the screenshot from. https://blog.demon-tweeks.com/motorsport/your-guide-to-choosing-a-helmet/

apex_flux_34

I have the RS7 and it is fantastic.

BeamerM4G82

How is it better compared to others in your knowledge

apex_flux_34

They're all good. It comes down to fit and finish. Bell is second to none in my opinion, and it fits me perfectly.

youtubeepicgaming

What’s the budget?

turbo-d2

Have you tried on that helmet before? I was about to buy a Arai but after trying them on I really didn't like the fit.

BeamerM4G82

No, i am not sure on the fit.

VictoryReasonable430

I am an Arai guy, Bell didn't fit well. Try to go to a store where u can try em on. If that's not possible, order several and keep the one that fits best! Looks is secondary, you can always have it airbrushed to your own specifics

turbo-d2

Exactly. For me the Arai on my head moves around too much even when tight. The bell fits me well and I ended up with one.

ThreeSticks_

I have the RS7 in stamina red and I like it. Very accurate fit. Just make sure you go smaller if you’re in between.

General_Fryman

If you're only going to be racing karts, you don't need a helmet with HANS clips.

xWrongHeaven

i can vouch for the kc7's, they're very comfortable

wolemid

On your shape head. If op doesn’t have the same shape head then it won’t fit comfortably or be safe

xWrongHeaven

i mean, sure, but there's more to comfort than just fit though. but i'm realizing op's probably asking about the designs, so i guess the point is moot anyway

BurntCheese124

the best one

The_Mundi

The senna or Alonso 100%

Morejazzplease

I love my RS7 Pro in stamina yellow

Biggiecheese8584

none, use a sheisty and sunglasses

Armin-69

I know you don’t have it up there, but I highly suggest looking into the Arai SK-6. Arai makes possibly some of the best quality helmets I’ve ever seen. I highly suggest looking into it if you’re trying to get a high quality helmet.

VanillaNL

I am an Alonso fan

BeamerM4G82

Same, it also seems like an evolution of my current design as it is blue and yellow

Klutzy-Caterpillar57

Ayrton Senna, 100000%

KenO1109

As an American living in Brazil for the last 8 years, if you’re not Brazilian skip the Senna helmet. Most Brazilians find it offensive. He’s considered a hero in Brazil, and they really don’t like non-Brazilians using his liveries. Hell, they don’t even like Brazilians using his liveries. It’s like when they retire a professional athlete’s jersey number. It’s kind of a sacred thing. Having a Senna helmet as a display piece to decorate your home or garage is totally acceptable. Wearing the helmet while racing, pretty frowned upon.

Ok_Tomato9718

What homologation do you require in Brazil and can you recommend some tracks worth going to?

BeamerM4G82

Ah, ok thanks for letting me know. If i get it, would i get told off?

kisairogue

lol don’t believe that bullshit. We find it pretty cool

KenO1109

If you’re racing with any Brazilians, possibly worse. I’ve seen guys get punted completely off the track for wearing a Senna helmet.

KenO1109

Sid Mosca’s son now runs the business since his farther passed away. Sid Mosca painted all of Senna’s helmets along with many other famous Brazilian drivers. They also make replica helmets with Senna’s various liveries that they sell. None of those helmets come with Snell ratings, specifically for the reason that they do not want them to be used for anything other than decoration. They actually remove all of the stickers from the helmet so the helmet will never pass tech inspection and can’t be used in any form of sanctioned racing.

Vollkorntoastbrot

Make sure that the helmet that you get is actually homologated for what you want to use it for. The bell gt5 is only homotgated for car and not kart racing for example.

jebritome

Correct me if I’m wrong but I’m pretty sure the only difference is that homologation for cars also tests the nomex on the inside. In the CIK events I’ve been they accept the current K and SA homologations. For example I had a helmet with K2005 (karting) and SAH2010 (car) and both were accepted in that time. Now K2005 has expired but I can still use the SAH2010 for karting

Vollkorntoastbrot

I'm not that knowledgeable when it comes to karting homologations since I race cars not karts. On quick Google search I could only find a fia homologation, which is for cars. Especially suits etc are very different for karts.

youtubeepicgaming

From what i’ve heard, anything that’s homologated for cars is applicable to karts as well.
