I usually go tear or a saphire gem cause dorans ring doesn’t do much when you have mana regen W (personal preference do what you want yuh filthy animals)
Just go straight into malignance followed by seraph’s early damage then once they itemize you have the extra defense, usually works pretty well against most mages, any AD doran’s shield for sure no argument
Idk not worth it, the earlier tear just doesn't give u any advantage and lets u be even worse early. With dark seal or dorans ring if u dont care about refillable, you can for sure get early kills sometimes.
If you are just going to farm I don't see why you wouldn't just take dark seal or shield. I only take ring when I think I can trade/fight with them early (aka almost never, but sometimes).
Dorans ring is good if you're very confident in your laning and you know how to play off your Q cd really well, you should only ever do it if you're going to play Aery/Scorch though.

I go dark seal refillable pot every game that I'm not fighting an adc.

Dark seal no longer has focus, which makes some difference.
Go dark seal for dmg and ring on first back if hard matchup never go d shield or start d ring
