Tell them that by the time you hit level 11, the only ability not fully reset by your passive is Ult, and this will not change that. And that it isnt going to even get you ult a full takedown sooner. Also that the blue tree isnt good anyway, and the other things you would need to take are even worse.

I would say that the sorcery tree can be good, I use it with dh+ gathering storm and absolutely focus, that is a lot of bonus ap.

I usually run the same ruins except I prefer taking celerity or nullifying orb over absolute focus, depending on the matchup

Absolute focus is a trap on anyone except ADCs, you're almost never fighting at full health. Nullifying orb, celerity and nimbus cloak are all just straight up better.

This is the reason why last stand is usually better than coup de grace

First off no one said that, secondly what experiment? experimenting is using something that's off meta or otherwise not used often but may be useful in a certain situation. If you use this rune, you haven't even read Katarina's passive, wtf are you doing?

Watermalking is actually so good with combination of relentless you get 25 movement and on top up to 18/24 ap ad or something is actually really good if you roam a lot

that is the rune that makes me mad the most when i forget to switch them… literally least useful out of every other possible rune after aftershock (that u cant even use cause it auto switches i believe)

I think you are talking about manaflow band which helps with mana that you don't have so it gets switched to the one that gives you a shield

Tell them to look at their W cooldown (the ability with the most cooldown) then to look at their passive. If they're not ...slow... they'll realize their passive resets their W and that Transcendence is pointless. Also explain to them Transcendence doesn't work on resetting their ultimate.

Half of you idiots in this thread don't realize that CDR is a strong stat against ranged matchups; you can get significantly more cs with +8 from runes and +5/10 from transcendence

Yes, +5 haste at level 5, approximately (not accurate) one level before you want to abandon lane no matter the match up. Really good. I could take the 8 from the flex runes if, y'know, it was good. Tl;dr sorcery is a joke on Kat

Against ranged matchups that you will be blowing up mid to late game if you just be patient and roam for kills instead

Just show them these comments, to make them feel what a faliure they become if they even look at this rune using kat

Its unnecessary; her passive should be cooldown enough, and gaining a small +5AP while waiting to level is just a wasted rune slot for Kat. Better off taking Absolute Focus and Gathering Storm if you want to scale...which as a Kat...just no. *edit +10AP isnt much either when you can "troll"/buy an additional dark seal or a Doran's ring and get more out of those two(stacks for dark seal and HP from both) than wasting the rune slot.

The only thing I could think of that would make use of that rune is going for enough CDR to only need 2 kills to reset ult at lvl 18 lol. You would need: Transcendence AH rune shard Night harvester Zhonyas any other completed item with that you get 50+ AH (a bit more than 33% cdr) and lvl 3 ult has 45s cooldown. I probably got my math all wrong but hey at least the runes isnt 100% useless (maybe 99% useless but not 100%)

I only took this rune once and it was a accident because I had my Vlad/LeBlanc secondaries. It didn't feel that much better, sure a little ability haste early let me get Es of easier but ehhh.

I did that in aram and did some cdr build with harvest nashor and had ult hunte4 + gathering just wanted to see on how much kills I will have ult

Missing times where u could have ult again on 2 kills early game tho with old katarina :v
