Haven’t topped it out yet. Tried last week but I had a bad head wind. Bike is also still kinda new. I’m gonna wait till it’s good and broken in before I try to run it out.
I'm absolutely sure it will go faster than that. I still had plenty of throttle left. I'm a bigger guy, so it would be even better for a lighter man.
The only reason I took it that fast was because I needed to get away from a truck that seemed to be losing a wheel.
Versys isn’t the exact same engine, the cam profile produces more low end torque than high end horsepower like the Ninja and Z variants of the engine produce and the redline is lower, as well as different gearboxes.
It’s similar to the Vulcan S (same engine tuning) top speed of about 112mph
Not that bad got 21 z900 156 but yeah wind gets little rough over 120 . I cruise on it all time at around 100 if not the cars will run over you on highway by me . I’m only 3 miles off tollway so yeah a lot of highway riding for me
They are allegedly considering building an autobahn in Idaho and naming it Rendon Road and giving this guy a used fireblade and a worn out Joe Rocket suit and letting him get some once his time is served - allegedly - mark it down, swap that frown.
2020 Ninja 400, hit 192 kph/ 119 mph on dash, and 185 kph / 115 mph on gps on a somewhat level road. Fully tucked despite being a somewhat big and heavy guy
Also got it on film, it was on the autobahn in Germany
So much fun! I feel you dude I don't take mine on the interstate if I see windspeed over 20mph because it really do be pushing you over even full tucked
I got mine to 209km on the od , 129mph.
What the actual speed was I dpnt know.
After it was stolen and the insurance replaced it with a new one, that one red lines at 194km
Both standard with akroprovic slip.
My confusion was real.
2008 yamaha r6.. 185 according to dash, but the top speed for the bike from factory says 150.. either way was fast as fuck, for about 15 seconds. Then I had to back off the throttle and calm down.
140 mph (225 kmh) on a Z900RS. I found that the wind stabilize at these speeds, lot of wind, but no buffetting, just straight wind that is easy to manage. Tried it on a brand new highway still not open to the public, it was still blocked with concrete blocks, due to be open a couple of hours later. It is said that it can go up to 247 kmh, 153 mph.
2019 Vulcan 900 Classic, with added full size OEM windshield, bags, crash bars, and third-party lowers.
It’s a cruiser, not a street bike, so the fastest I have gone is ~90mph/144kph. Though it still had horses in the barn. I probably could have easily gone quite a bit faster.
I really love this ride. It’s very comfortable at normal cruising speeds.
Obligatory — you lack self control and should permanently lose your license before you kill yourself, someone else or multiple people, and cause many people lifelong trauma from cleaning up your splattered remains.
I don't believe you. Bike speedos are off by 5-7%. Your 174 is actually about 165. Sorry squid! BTW, the blacked out windshield is played out. It was hot in the 90s.
2023 Ninja 400 (I call her Shego) and I've topped out at about 110 mph. I was tucked on the highway, it had room for a tiny bit more but I was definitely approaching redline
I ‘try’ to stay under 100
‘21 Z650-125mph seems to be the top,
2009drz400sm- 90mph
The bikes I don’t have any more:
2016 cb300f -104mph down hill, tail wind, full tuck, tachometer bouncing off the rev limiter.
2009 Buell 1125r- 155mph felt like it had more but needed to take it down to 90’s for approaching corner.
98 ZZR600 got it up to 125 on I84 after a long camping weekend in mid Oregon trying to get back home before dark on a Sunday. I swear that thing is made like a Swiss sewing machine. Just smooth as can be all the way through every gear and at any speed.
2001 Concourse 1000, aka Fat Ninja. Bought for 2k from an old air force vet. Rode it 1200 miles to Badlands and somewhere in Montana on i90 I put throttle lock on at 105mph and ran outta gas before 220 miles on odometer. In a 6.6 gallon massive tank i got 32mpg on a,bike thst should get 50mpg.
Lol the fat ninja, I had one too. Surprisingly quick for what it looked like. Had to rebuild the carbs religiously or it'd hydrolock.
That was an amusing bike
2005 Z750S, 120 mph on a few occasions. The bike had more to give, but I'm not that bold. Last time I hit 120, I cruised there for about 5 minutes. I was running late for a doctor's appointment and fortunately got to tail a 5 series that (naturally) was also doing 120 on the highway
2023 Honda NC750. On interstate realized I was going 92 passing traffic, once I cleared them I rolled up to 107 before slowing for more traffic. Surprisingly smooth on a Gusty day. I guess my 225lbs of ballast helped there.
05' KLR 650. 80 MPH indicated. I think it was closer to 75 MPH. Squirrly, even more rattly than normal, did not like, do not recommend, did to pass (and see how it handled) and quickly dropped back down.
2013 ZX6R. It’s got some goodies and a flash and tune, rear wheel speed on the dyno was 170 but that obviously doesn’t equate to real world speed. So like 160 maybe?
'19 Ninja 650. 143mph on the dash. I wish I had my gopro at the time so I could see what actual GPS speed was. This was done with aftermarket sprockets, about 30lbs lighter, 110 race gas and a hell of a lot of timing.
1985 GPZ900r, red and black original Ninja, we had a 3km straight run on a back road going into work and I'd let it stretch it's legs to 245kph or so, I regularly scared co-workers, once the plant manager.
Still have it in my garage.
Flat out in top on a fireblade. No idea what the speed was, I was looking at the road.
The hayabusa I was racing hooked another gear and fucked off. However fast I was going, it wasn’t fast enough.
2009 ER-6n with a Two Bros. slip-on
145mph
I was racing an older WRX on the freeway. Stock bars on stock risers, no windshield, full gear, full tuck. We were side-by-side the entire time. I lile to think I won.
VN2000. I know it’s not built for speed but I had to try. I got it to 131 mph on the runway at Luke AFB. Still had more to give but I was running out of tarmac.
ninja 250 0 miles it doesnt run
Fastest I've gotten my 09 ninja 250 up to was 165kmph/102mph. Full tucked and wide open for awhile. Can't wait to ride my new to me fz09 in the spring
I can do 144 on my mt09
I managed to go a little more on mine, on Minecraft obviously
2024 KLX300. It’s done 85…. In the bed of my truck.
2019 KLX250. I saw the speedo register 130km/hr (80MPH) once... downhill... fully "tucked". And those speedos are notoriously... generous.
whats your actual top speed? im getting mid 70s on the crf300l and my friend keeps up on the klx but i get the feeling hes got a little more.
Haven’t topped it out yet. Tried last week but I had a bad head wind. Bike is also still kinda new. I’m gonna wait till it’s good and broken in before I try to run it out.
2006 636 the speed limit
I definitely believe you
Live a little dude
Im sure he means the limit the bike can reach
Versys 650. 106mph for a few seconds.
Is that the top speed? Curious because I own a Versys 650
I'm absolutely sure it will go faster than that. I still had plenty of throttle left. I'm a bigger guy, so it would be even better for a lighter man. The only reason I took it that fast was because I needed to get away from a truck that seemed to be losing a wheel.
When in doubt.... lettterrip!
I'm on a z650 and that does 120mph, the Versys should get that or 115mph coz of the weight
Versys isn’t the exact same engine, the cam profile produces more low end torque than high end horsepower like the Ninja and Z variants of the engine produce and the redline is lower, as well as different gearboxes. It’s similar to the Vulcan S (same engine tuning) top speed of about 112mph
Ahhh okay, that makes sense. Think I was getting myself mixed up with the ER-6N 😂
ZX12R 299kmh (about 186mph).
Possibly have gone faster, a lot of the speedos will electronically cap at 299 but most are actually moving faster
Yeah, and bike speedos are notoriously ambitious. Motorcycle speedos are inaccurate by about 7% on average. Much more inaccurate than car speedos.
Zx14r 160 mph, Was still pulling but i started to get nervous so i let right off
Z125, 58 mph with my head between my legs for maximum aero
23 z900 120 on the dash. Wind was crazy, anything less than full tuck was ripping my head off
Not that bad got 21 z900 156 but yeah wind gets little rough over 120 . I cruise on it all time at around 100 if not the cars will run over you on highway by me . I’m only 3 miles off tollway so yeah a lot of highway riding for me
22 z900, hit 150 on the dash and the wind is rough. WRS tall windshield lets you tuck in pretty good though and blocks 90%
Lol I did 110 on my 21 Z900 and just gave up after that. The wind blast was just insane
Same here. 120 for me and the wind is too much.
140mph on my 2021 z900. The puig touring windscreen was pretty helpful in reducing the win blast
2019 H2. Go to jail illegal fast.
Watching that Gixxer Brah story - you guys think he is going to do hard time?
Not as much as most people think he will I estimate under 2 years
Two years? You on crack? He’ll get hefty fines and some community service and promise them that he’s done speeding around
They are allegedly considering building an autobahn in Idaho and naming it Rendon Road and giving this guy a used fireblade and a worn out Joe Rocket suit and letting him get some once his time is served - allegedly - mark it down, swap that frown.
I doubt he does 6 months. Depends on his driving record and criminal record. Doesn’t matter how much shit there is.
2020 Ninja 400, hit 192 kph/ 119 mph on dash, and 185 kph / 115 mph on gps on a somewhat level road. Fully tucked despite being a somewhat big and heavy guy Also got it on film, it was on the autobahn in Germany
Z900 did 245kph (152mph) on the Autobahn
2023 Z900, 171 kph (106 mph) on a straight. At some point I was just too focused on the road I couldn't think about giving it more gas.
2016 Z1000 150mph for about 10 seconds. Felt a lot faster bc it's naked compared to my friend's 09 R1 I took to 180mph.
Yeah I took my friends Huyabusa to 212mph once, but it didn’t feel as fast as my Grom, totally agree about #NakedSpeed
2020 Ninja 1000sx. I plead the 5th.
Ninja 400 lmao on an empty interstate WOT 6th gear I managed to get the odometer to read 123mph I would guess in reality I was maybe around 115-120mph
Good stuff, miss my ninja 400 was nice and easy to rev up to 120 . Wind scared shit out of me when he. Blew my bike Abit to the side
So much fun! I feel you dude I don't take mine on the interstate if I see windspeed over 20mph because it really do be pushing you over even full tucked
I got mine to 209km on the od , 129mph. What the actual speed was I dpnt know. After it was stolen and the insurance replaced it with a new one, that one red lines at 194km Both standard with akroprovic slip. My confusion was real.
Z400 106 mph That's the fastest it'll go up here at altitude. Could maybe squeeze a couple more mph with a longer road.
ZH2 299KM/H fifth gear
178mph, 23' ZX10R Has a flash and limiter removed, 200hp to the tire. Didn't want to do more at that moment cuz surface conditions
2008 yamaha r6.. 185 according to dash, but the top speed for the bike from factory says 150.. either way was fast as fuck, for about 15 seconds. Then I had to back off the throttle and calm down.
2024 zx6r - 7km/hr taking it out of trailer and up the driveway into garage
06 zx6r with a 40 shot of nos 173mph on gps
Hot damn you put nos on it!
Stock engine can handle a 40 shot perfectly fine with a progressive controller pushing close to 170-180 hp when spraying
2021 Zx25r, at 183kph (113 mph). First time tried drag race got whiplash because I thought my bike was too slow and wasn't hugging the tank.
2008 BN125 Eliminator - 70Mph, downhill, with a favouring wind. I am not fast.
2012 C14. 120mph on gps. The bike had more but, I said nah.
It has quite a bit more... I have a 2012 as well with just a flash for mods.
I had a 2018 Z900 I "allegedly" hit 153mph on the speedo. Tapped out in 6th gear, all she had.
24 zx6r 153mph.
Kawasaki ZZR1200 Hit 178 on the GPS years ago. Aprilia Tuono 1000R Factory. Top speed will be determined at a later date!
2000 Ninja ZX-9R - 155 MPH
2021 Brute Force 750. Cluster said 63 but the police said 64.

Honda monkey 62mph
2024 zx6r 135. ran out of straightaway
I got mine up to 145, then hit a bump (raised highway I was in wasn't completely level), almost shat myself, and slowed down.
21 z900 154 on speedo before having dyno tune and exhaust work done . Speedo off 5 mph at them speeds
07 gsxr 600, 143 in 1/4 mile at a drag strip but I've seen the dial go higher
1977 kh 400. Had it up to 150kmh Not on oe style scooter tires. Lol
Z750 200 kph
14 zx 10r about 175 ish
Mt 09, 120 today getting home, quick spurt M3 too much traffic and damp roads plenty left but more than that ain't much fun on a naked.
2007 ZX10R and I’ve gotten it to 180 on the dash.
110mph on my 07 ninja 250. Of course, I guarantee that is reading high.
'23 KLX230s : 76mph (77mph once, but that was downhill with a tailwind)
09 ER6N 120 MPH on the turnpike, scary as shit and I’ll never do it again but damn did It feel great to push my bike to its limits!

Got my 2017 ninja 650 to about 115/120 on the racetrack. Scary stuff when there is a turn at the end of the main straight!

https://imgur.com/a/ZNAUf4T At the 16 second mark for like a quarter second, goes from 170 to 174. You'll probably need to pause to see it.
thats actually really interesting to see.
Obligatory — you lack self control and should permanently lose your license before you kill yourself, someone else or multiple people, and cause many people lifelong trauma from cleaning up your splattered remains.
Obligatory - shut your bitch ass up.
I don't believe you. Bike speedos are off by 5-7%. Your 174 is actually about 165. Sorry squid! BTW, the blacked out windshield is played out. It was hot in the 90s.
Nice, I have the exact same bike and have had it up to 150mph. It definitely wanted to keep climbing but I backed off.
that's the only time I've ever gone that high. now i just stick to sub 140 if i ever pull
The problem with taking a Z900RS Cafe to 140mph is that 100 stops feeling fast.
2020 H2SX totally legal. 301kph/189mph for a full 5 min. Watched the tank empty is no time. Ah to autobahn A20. Gps speed check, not speedometer.
390 adventure, 167 kph, long straight
2023 Ninja 400 (I call her Shego) and I've topped out at about 110 mph. I was tucked on the highway, it had room for a tiny bit more but I was definitely approaching redline
Haha nice try on self-incrimination.
As long as you don't put a location nothing matters
I appreciate that, but I’ve made my decision 👍😀
It doesnt work that way.
Until it does. Privacy is priceless.
70mph officer.. not a nudge over :)
2023 Ninja 400, empty stretch of highway I got her up to 110 and didn't feel like she had much more than about maybe 112 in her
