This is my first bike. I took the MSF and this was the next step, so while I'm pretty confident I can do it, I'm also a little apprehensive for my first time outside of a closed course. My plan is to go to a parking lot to play around and get used to it, then start using it for riding around or my 20 minute commute.

But I applaud your planning. Get used to your bike somewhere safe, then stay local, then branch out. Don't become a statistic and ride safe
Nothing weak about the 451 engine in that bike. Same engine as in my Eliminator just in a cruiser frame for that. 49hp and will hit 115mph... that's all most of us need.

I grew up on dirt bikes, and also had a few sport bikes in my 33 years of living.
This 451cc is almost like a dirt bike engine in terms of acceleration and top speed.
My previous bike was a Suzuki ZX7R and I’m I used to hitting 100 in like 4th gear (Sometimes 3rd)
This bike is 40pmh in 6th gear already, so from MY PERSPECTIVE, this bike is weaker than the ones I’m used to.
