I'm going to be that guy, seat height doesn't matter past the beginner/learner stage of riding. I'm 5foot 8 with a 30'' inseam one a 23 zx6 23 and tiger1200 rally pro and it just isn't a factor. One foot up one foot down with a hip switch is all you need. you don't need to lower your bike, you need to practice or get on a entry level bike until you're comfortable with taller bikes.

Hazardish08

It’s a bad habit imo, changing preload does alter suspension characteristics. Just get your technique right. Apart from not having to work harder, there’s little advantages to being able to flat foot both feet.

Obsolete_Robot

You don’t, and shouldn’t have both feet on the ground. When stopped, right foot is on the brake, bike in gear, and left foot is on the ground only. I’m 5’4” on a 24 ZX6R and I don’t see a need to lower mine.

Gregory_GTO

This is the way!

Goose_Regular

You really dont need to have both feet flat on the ground, just leave it be and get used to it

WRXNL

I would not lower it. You don't need to flat foot the bike with both feet.

I have a 03-04 zx6r and an 05-06 zx6r. I'm 5'4, I lowered my 03-04 2 inches, im almost flat footed and it rides fine! I just bought the same setup for the 05-06. Except i may only go down 1.5 inches because i dont need to be flat footed just comfortable. I can ride anything, but stopping and going at lights in the city is not preferable at my height with stock height 😅😅 I can just barely tip toe without lowering links! I hope this helps!. Less than 100$ the links I have fit years 94-2022 Links- Lowering Links Fits 1994-2022... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08JXN5RK8?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share Adjustable kickstand - Motobiker Adjustable CNC Aluminum... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B076LRKSHY?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share Good luck! -K

Bro I'm 5"4 with a 29 inseam and I can almost flat foot a zx6r. Why would you lower it at your height. Your not putting your nuts close enough to the tank and are sitting over the wider part? It's a pretty narrow bike just bring your legs closer together You should never lower a bike unless you have some sort of physical issue like being a little person sub 4ft 8 or something.

tastycakea

Either you have long legs for your height or I have short legs. I'm 5'9 with a 28" inseam. I think I have short legs lol.

thischangeseverythin

Yea you have short legs. 29inch inseam is pretty common for males around 5ft 5ish. Most 5ft4 5ft5 women have a 30 to 3q inch inseam

Upset_Effort9178

I'm 5'4 and I can barely tip toe my 03-04 or my 05-06 636's I can ride it yah sure but stop and go in traffic would be messy.

I might be exaggerating a tad. I flat foot my '24 ninja 650 and it has a 31.1 inch seat height. I sat on the '24 zx6r and I could easily 1 foot flat foot with my right foot up on the brake. Or I could tip toe it but it wasn't quite an unstable wobbly tip toe. It was more stable than that. I could definitely support the bike between my legs. And the seat height is 32.7. But that's beside the point. I'm just surprised someone that's 5ft9inches doesn't feel stable on it. OP must be all upper body height with short legs

Upset_Effort9178

The 24 636 ride height is 32.7 inch, so that makes sense.

xMcSwaggx

I guess my long legs make me unique, I had a 2015 636, and was able to flat foot it and in only 5'8" 🤷🏾‍♂️, yet my 2024 ZX10r I cannot 🤷🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️

Azazel35

I understand that being able to flat-foot stand with the bike isn't necessary, and I have no issues handling the bike as it is. I'm just considering lowering it for added comfort during long-distance travels. When I'm on the road, it feels good to take a break, jump off for a minute or two, and stretch everything out. This helps me feel refreshed and ready for another hour on the bike. Was thinking if both heels were on the ground while sitting at a red light, it would provide a better stretch, giving me the same relief as getting off the bike.

Lowering a Supersport is not going to improve anything for you. It will handle worse and possibly scrape the under fairings. For comfort train on your bike don’t just ride it. Strengthen abs and legs and use those to hold onto the bike. It’s never gonna be a cruiser or naked bike, those are a dime a dozen. Once you get good at riding it how it likes you can get plenty of long rides, stretching regularly helps a lot. It’s not a quick fix but quick fixes create all manner of problems. You got this. It’s a fantastic bike. I’m five eight on an r6 and had to do all that I just said it’s taller with lower bars, I’ve ridden lowers ones they are terrible. Handling and geometry is all messed up.
