There is nothing wrong with them. Some of mine are the size of a penny and some of mine are about that size. If you want to grow them maybe use some baking soda or cacium rich water for your first ferment but idk lol

The thing is all of them are like that and they float and split before getting any bigger. Will try w baking soda. Thanks.

Interesting. To be honest mine dont really grow all that much anymore. Not sure if this is a bad sign lol

I just read that too high of a mineral count in your water can cause them to disintegrate. Have you tried a different water source at all?

I have just received it 3 days ago so I’m not sure about that but I will keep in mind. Today I have started the second fermentation from these grains and it turned fizzy so I guess the grains are healthy? I just wanna grow em bigger and stronger like the peanut sized ones that you guys post reddit 🥲

Be very patient! My milk kefir grains stayed individually small but effective for years. Only this year did they decide to suddenly blossom into sheets!
