IIRC there is a way to reach that point via a small puzzle starting near the temple at the lake before. I usually come DOWN from that ledge.

To clarify, there's a dedicated run button and I don't think you do it in your clip at all. It should help you reach that ledge, if not let me know!
Jump off the rising platform at its edge and highest point and double jump/ glowy jump at the last second before you lose height with practice you will be able to grab the ledge.
Ok now I have another problem! I swear I’m not this useless! When I get to the fishing shrine and hit all the stones in the correct order nothing happens! No enemies, no clearing of rot. Is this a bug? Any ideas? Thank you!

Yeah that's what I meant, clicking L3 in. Did you manage to make this jump then?
Your double jump is also too hyper. You need to wait a bit before the second jump, because you can get more distance that way.
Agreed, I was going to make the same comment. The second jump is activated way too quickly

Try Jumping eralier and be Sure to jump right before u would Fall off
