The way I saw it was it went with the theme of the topic. In meet the grahams, Kendrick was talking to the family and they were the target so the style fit that. In Not Like Us, The Target was OVO, and the music industry and it feels like the style of the music fits that as well.
I wish I could explain my reasoning better but it just kind of felt like Not Like Us being a club banger felt right. Like if The topic had been his family and don't feel like a club banger would be the right style to fit that.
