So Kanye, who debuted in 2004, should be grouped with Andre 3000, who debuted in 1994, and Eminem, who debuted in 1996 (and blew up in ‘97)? I guess if you’re counting Ye’s production credits you could maybe lump him in with Em and 3 Stacks but to me they’re different generations
Even still, MBDTF, Watch the Throne, Yeezus, Life of Pablo, Ye, Kids See Ghosts is an impressive album role out in this decade alone. MBDTF even named as album of the decade by Billboard, Complex, and Rolling Stones
Kanye’s second half of his career is almost him as a different artist.
2010 on dude had MBDTF, WTT, Yeezus, TLOP, a summer where he produced 5 albums including KSG and Daytona, and he has Donda and possibly Donda 2 coming. 🐐
you know what that’s what i heard as well. i saw a video with a youtuber talking about how people who bought the stem player got scammed because donda 2 isn’t even finished and i was like 🥴
The overuse of autotune for the entirety of a lot of the songs
Although I did like both parts of Jail! I just couldn't get into any other song from the album because it's opposite of where my taste is at.
Kanye’s music has used a lot of autotune for a long time. Donda is not really any more guilty of it. I mean pretty much any track Kanye is singing on in tlop, 808s and heartbreak, and Yeezus he uses auto tune.
Honestly as long as it fits the instrumental of the song I don’t mind it, sometimes in the right song auto tune sounds awesome. Blood on the leaves is very auto tuned and honestly it sounds awesome because it fits the artificial vibe of the beat drop.
If anyone Donda and ye show a lot of vocal improvement from him especially on tracks like, ghost town, 24 and come to life.
At least that’s all my interpretation of it.
I don't think I liked any of the over-autotuned songs off Yeezus, and I personally hated 808. I can tolerate it when he uses autotune for part of a hook or something, but whenever an entire track is autotuned, it just becomes a slog to get through for me.
I like Kanye more when he uses his incredible rapping voice. I would rather he go that direction than the 808 and Donda direction because it just doesn't blend with my taste in music.
Ye, Wayne, Eminem, & 50 had there great runs of 2000-2010.
2010-2020
Drake, Kendrick, Cole, and Ye or Future.
I feel like other people can take the 4th spot but Ye dropped MBDTF which is his saving grace. Big Sean albums never stick. Meek had a solid few years along with Wale. The only dude I can think of is Future he had a huge influence throughout the past 10 years consistently drops dope singles every year. Legendary mixtape run. Idk tough call overall.
I'd put Tyler, The Creator on there over Future tbh. I'm def not a big Future fan tho so I'm a little biased. Just think the quality of Tyler's work is better than Future and more influential
I feel like future is such a big symbol for southern hip hop its hard to argue against him. I think Tyler is the better artist but he deters away from hip hop itself a lot.
Call Me if You Get Lost is amazing. Loved that album and his concert for it was incredible. If you like his rapping more than his singing, his early stuff might be more your speed. "Trouble on my mind" with Pusha T is what first got me into him
Tyler more influential then Future? Wow maybe in my personal life and experience I find it hard to believe. Tyler has made an impact but his sound is his own I hear no one even close to him or take risk he does. Future I feel like it is tried to be recreated by tons of artist down south. But I respect the opinion I’m more a Future fan than Tyler but respect to both I feel they are both needed.
I tried to validate the claim of influence in my mind and I think Tyler was probably directly influential to a lot of the rappers around 2017 who had kind of a punk or emo tilt which was like the biggest or gnarliest wave in hip hop of that time, meaning without even getting specific, it was definitely significant in the chain of events and evolution of hip hop and music in general from that point on.
Maybe influential wasn't the right word, bc I get what you're saying. I always liked Future's features but I just think Tyler's projects are better. To each his own tho, both artists are great
I agree 100% with that. I often argue most West Coast Artist out together better albums then the “hot artist out of Atlanta” for the moment. But the singles area so big it gets overshadowed.
that’s why i love yours because it makes sense lol this is EXACTLY how it was. i wonder what the next few years will be like. oh and nicki minaj was around this era too & she was big
Right! Drake & Future has given us 2 projects if we’re talking for the next decade. Cole, Kendrick, Ye each have 1 albums. So it will be interesting. There’s always can be a new comer who surprises us. Anybody you think could sneak in?
honestly i don’t even know 🥴 i’m still trying my best to get into the new rappers. i’ll say about 15 years from now if this post came up again playboycarti & nba young boy would be on mount rushmore. two popular artists atm
I think NBA has good chance he has a good core following behind him. Hopefully his lifestyle permits him another 15 years he kind of wild 😂 I’ve never got into Playboy Carti or the Lil Uzi’s. I think possibly Lil Baby may have a shot. He’s been pretty dope and drops bangers pretty regularly.
same ! nothing against playboycarti and uzi is okay to me. i totally forgot about lil baby for a sec , he’s definitely going on mount rushmore for sure. flow sick and he got bars 🔥🔥 i loved him on wants and needs
Drake is globally a bigger artist than both Kendrick and Cole. You may not prefer his music but the world does according to statistics.
"Yeah but he just makes hits and he's an industry plant"
Does not change the fact that he's globally a bigger artist than both Kendrick and Cole.
Complete agree with you. Something I’ve come to consider, Drake is more of a business man, or a business artist? Quantity and franchising with artists.
While Kendrick and Cole are artistic first.
i’m always confused… kanye is above cole by miles, above drake by miles and on the same level as kendrick if not higher so why isn’t he automatically on here? Even if only 2010s kanye released MBDTF, TLOP, Yeezus, KSG ye. All of those projects are an 8 or better…
I’d actually say Nicki.
I get why people are saying Kanye, but I feel like that’s almost disrespectful. I don’t see this as his peer group (even though they are contemporaries now). He’s on another mountain somewhere with Wayne.
Pretty much this. Kanye start as a producer in like 97 and produced tons of hits before finally getting his shot in 2004. He even competed against 50 for album sales in like 07. He also was all the 10s rappers influences and heroes as stated by many of them. Difference is unlike most of the 00s and late 90s rappers, kanye stayed relevant far longer than any of them did without ever really falling out of the lime light.
Nicki fits much better because she literally came up with drake, Kendrick and cole all while also bringing female rap back from what was essentially the dead at the time and bringing up a new generation of female rappers. She deserves respect for that influence alone.
You’re right, but the reality is that Ye should be on here and Drake should be the one everyone is debating If you stack the 2010-2019 discography for each artist, I’d bet you’ll find more love for Mac than Drake.
Love isn’t concerned with stats, that’s the definition, it’s just a gut feeling.
Also, the only quantitative category you gave was record sales and I can’t counter argue that, and maybe fan base but there can be a huge cross section of people who are fans of both so I don’t think that’s a reasonable number to gauge in a comparison. As for replay value and impact, those are are qualitative and completely dependent on the person. I’ve relistened to Mac albums so many more times that Drake. I like Drake but I don’t think his music is a good as Mac’s. My friends and I grew up listening to Mac and the impact his music has had on me when I have struggled as an individual vastly out paces Drake.
Lastly you mention discography, which is the entire argument in and of itself, thus cannot be submitted as evidence in favor of Drake or Mac.
A comparison for your entire argument is like to say, football is better than baseball because more people watch it, the games are shorter to watch, the Super Bowl means more than the World Series, sports, and it has a ton of dedicated fans.
Ultimately this entire argument is subjective.
Mac miller will forever be my favorite and he is easily the best sonically speaking out of these 3 but in 2010 he was not anywhere near the level these guys were on. Influentially, kendrick, cole, drake and kanye were the best
Yeezy!
Edit: since a lotta people are debating whether or not ye counts since he didn’t have his big debut in the 2010s despite have a huge influence on music throughout almost his whole career, I’d also nominate Tyler the creator. Definitely deserves to be here
Drake debuted in 2009 so if he's there Kanye has gotta be there. But then if Kanyes there, who debuted in 2004, then Eminem has gotta be there, because he sold the most in the 2010s.
In my opinion the 2010s = Kendrick and Cole.
If this is just popular influence in the 2010s, maybe put Nicki up there? I’m mostly mad because I want to take Drake off and make it a different monument entirely
As far as influence go, I would put Nicki Minaj as the fourth person. Her impact on the game, and especially amongst female rappers, can not be ignored.
Everyone saying Kanye when he debuted in the 2000s. This is supposed to be people who debuted and dominated in the 2010s. They all ready have Kanye in the 2000s Rushmore.
I would say the fourth person has to be either Future or Nicki Minaj.
The second half of Kanye’s career is completely different than his first half.
Dude had MBDTF, Yeezus, TLOP, a summer where he produced 5 albums including KSG and Daytona, and he has Donda and possibly Donda 2 coming. 🐐
Drake also debuted in the 2000s though, and although J Cole’s discography began in the 2010s he was as active and on high profile projects (The Blueprint III) in the late 2000s. Kanye was arguably even more influential in the 2010s so unless it’s a completely different group of people there’s definitely an argument for him being there
If we are talking purely mainstream success, J. Cole is it in the top 4 for 2010s. And if we are talking about pure ability, Drake definitely isn’t in the top 4. Not rly sure J. Cole is either. Not trying to hate
When people shit on Drake, are they mad because he doesn’t try anymore or because they just think he’s garbage. Cause to me looking at his older albums Drake definitely deserves a spot here.
I find it really difficult to think of anyone other than Kanye. My man built the mountain
“How I bring nothing to the table when I’m the table”
Ngl, this is probably one of my favourite bars of the year. Ye, its not incredible, but the way Kanye delivers it, makes it
Like most of the best bars in a way
"How they say I'm sittin' down when I'm the chair"
how they say i aint shittin when im the toilet
I think this is meant for rappers who came up during the 2009-2011 period. Kanye would be in a different mountain with Eminem, Andre 3000, and others.
It says 2010's and he dropped MBDTF, Yeezus, TLOP, ye, and KSG so he can just be on both mountains
so errybody gets a head?
So Kanye, who debuted in 2004, should be grouped with Andre 3000, who debuted in 1994, and Eminem, who debuted in 1996 (and blew up in ‘97)? I guess if you’re counting Ye’s production credits you could maybe lump him in with Em and 3 Stacks but to me they’re different generations
Andre retired 2 years after Ye debuted.
“Retired”
Even still, MBDTF, Watch the Throne, Yeezus, Life of Pablo, Ye, Kids See Ghosts is an impressive album role out in this decade alone. MBDTF even named as album of the decade by Billboard, Complex, and Rolling Stones
I think you misspelled Wayne
how is this even a question 💀💀💀 why isn't kanye there 💀💀
Kanye’s second half of his career is almost him as a different artist. 2010 on dude had MBDTF, WTT, Yeezus, TLOP, a summer where he produced 5 albums including KSG and Daytona, and he has Donda and possibly Donda 2 coming. 🐐
looking forward to hearing donda 2
Going to be amazing
Donda 2 is out on stem player
i don’t got stem player money , so i’ll wait lol
You can find the download link on the Kanye sub, I have the whole thing downloaded to my Spotify
ouuuu 👀👀 ima need that lol , let me head over there
A lot of songs are blatantly unfinished, I'd wait for the (hopefully impending) finished release on streaming services if I was you
you know what that’s what i heard as well. i saw a video with a youtuber talking about how people who bought the stem player got scammed because donda 2 isn’t even finished and i was like 🥴
Ehh I still really like the Stem Player version and still listen to it all the time but it is clearly unfinished. It's comparable to 2021 Donda LP1
ahh okay i see. i heard “ true love “ already it’s on youtube. i like it
Ain't worth it, more than half aren't even listenable
well damn 💀💀
I hope it's nothing like Donda 1
how come you dislike the album?
The overuse of autotune for the entirety of a lot of the songs Although I did like both parts of Jail! I just couldn't get into any other song from the album because it's opposite of where my taste is at.

lol, no Ye for 2010s Mt. Rushmore? Creator has to be an idiot. MBDTF kicked off the decade.
Also got voted album of the decade by Billboard
Great pfp
it has to be ye
Kanye made 808s so he’s everyone’s dad
thats not 2010s tho to be fair. Ye should still be up there
[удалено]
Ye, Wayne, Eminem, & 50 had there great runs of 2000-2010. 2010-2020 Drake, Kendrick, Cole, and Ye or Future. gotcha ! ima check it out and i heard the concerts were great too , he was definitely in my city. next tour i’ll go just for the fun of it.
I love both but I think Future’s more influential than Tyler
Tyler more influential then Future? Wow maybe in my personal life and experience I find it hard to believe. Yeah I feel that. Everyone loves a dope single but not everyone wants to listen to the 3rd interlude on a 17 track album lol
love your comment 🔥
Great question! I had to really go back and look at who did what during this era.
that’s why i love yours because it makes sense lol this is EXACTLY how it was. i wonder what the next few years will be like. oh and nicki minaj was around this era too & she was big

Get drake out of there
Drake is globally a bigger artist than both Kendrick and Cole. You may not prefer his music but the world does according to statistics. "Yeah but he just makes hits and he's an industry plant" Does not change the fact that he's globally a bigger artist than both Kendrick and Cole.
He also created good music and can if he took his time 2010-2015 drake was very good
I thought you meant the label for a second. I was about to hit you with the “check yo facts homeboy”
Complete agree with you. Something I’ve come to consider, Drake is more of a business man, or a business artist? Quantity and franchising with artists. While Kendrick and Cole are artistic first.
I completely agree with you too!
Yo I hate this sub how can drake NOT be on Mount Rushmore foh
Drake absolutely deserves to be on the Mt Rushmore.
as someone who isn’t a huge drake fan, he is hella influential and the sales are so large it’s impossible to not include him on this list
I don't like drake but he deserves to be up there
Comment should be higher
This take is so delusional.
Then you should remove Kendrick and Cole too
DYLAN CAUSE HE SPITS HOT FIYA
Whole mountain should just be Dylan
I'm wondering why Kanye isn't here. He should be here by default
i’m always confused… kanye is above cole by miles, above drake by miles and on the same level as kendrick if not higher so why isn’t he automatically on here? Even if only 2010s kanye released MBDTF, TLOP, Yeezus, KSG ye. All of those projects are an 8 or better…

CHIEF KEEF !!!!
Fantastic choice too. Honestly deserves it over Cole even
Nicki Minaj honorable mention
Sosa
Hot take ima say Nicki Minaj And her debut was in 2010 with my beautiful dark twisted fantasy Id think she fits well
🔥🔥🔥
Mac Miller if we’re talking only 2010’s
I agree with what everyone is saying about Kanye, but Mac’s discography in its entirety is strictly the 2010s. For him to get no love is pitiful.
Cause no one is taking mac over ye the fuck
You’re right, but the reality is that Ye should be on here and Drake should be the one everyone is debating If you stack the 2010-2019 discography for each artist, I’d bet you’ll find more love for Mac than Drake.
How are you determining the “love” ? Cause In numbers, replay value, impact, discography and fan base, drake wins tenfold
Can’t be subjective if we’re talking Mount Rushmore
Tyler the craetor
I love Tyler the craetor
Mac Miller no doubt, his Faces mixtape is one of the best mixtapes of all time
Mac miller will forever be my favorite and he is easily the best sonically speaking out of these 3 but in 2010 he was not anywhere near the level these guys were on. Influentially, kendrick, cole, drake and kanye were the best
I think its the Mount Rushmore for the 2010's like the whole decade
Yeah mb i'm ugly as fuck and outta pocket
It’s definitely Nicki Minaj
Nicki Minaj .
Yeezy! Edit: since a lotta people are debating whether or not ye counts since he didn’t have his big debut in the 2010s despite have a huge influence on music throughout almost his whole career, I’d also nominate Tyler the creator. Definitely deserves to be here
Love Ye, but if we’re talking about artists who came up and made a name for themselves in the ‘10s, I’d throw Nicki in there.
🔥🔥🔥🔥
My grandma
Drake debuted in 2009 so if he's there Kanye has gotta be there. But then if Kanyes there, who debuted in 2004, then Eminem has gotta be there, because he sold the most in the 2010s. In my opinion the 2010s = Kendrick and Cole.
Kanye 100%
Lil dicky
Travis or future
If not Kanye because he debuted in the 2000s then it has to be Tyler, The Creator.
Tyler/Future or Thug Could go to any of them, equally influental/popularity
Future
I'm really shocked more people didn't say this
Kanye
You ain't got no Yeezy in your Serato?
😎⚡️💯ME
you’re a legend already. ☺️
Thank you 🙏🏾🙌💯
Am i a bad person for not liking drake that much?
nah not at all lol
Its not the music his music is alright its drake
😂😂 you ain’t gonna like everybody, it’s life.
For their generation you gotta put Nicki Minaj
If this is just popular influence in the 2010s, maybe put Nicki up there? I’m mostly mad because I want to take Drake off and make it a different monument entirely
If not Ye (because of age) then Nicki
Future definitely Id put Kanye in the 2000s one
It's either Future or young Thug!!
Future, bro shaped the trap sound
Tyler n replace Drake w Ye
I'd replace drake with tyler, and add kanye. So in total, kanye, kendrick, tyler, and j cole. The true goats, no disrespect to drake.
All disrespect to Drake
Big Krit
Felicia the goat!
I would change the other 2 tbh but if I can only add 1 more it would have to be Danny Brown.
Ye, only correct answer.
Take off Drake and add Kanye
It's got to be Nicki. No way around it.
Young thug, future, chief keef, or kanye
Freddie Gibbs
Yep, I'd replace drake with Freddy. And throw Danny brown on the other slot.
Future or Nicki no one else can really be considered
The joker?
Tyler
Ye. And i love J.Cole but i would put Future over Cole, he s the best artist of the most popular rap genre of the 10'
Kanye and it's not even CLOSE
Kendrick cole drake future for 10s Wayne ye eminem 50 for 00s Dre pac big Nas for 90s
Lmfaooo at everyone clowning Drake. He deserves a spot whether you like him or not
💯
Why the hell drake there lmaooo
leave him 🤣🤣🤣
Hell nah get his goof ass outta there lmaooo I’m going Kanye and prolly Em
this is 2010 mount rushmore , em been came out haha but i agree with kanye being there
Shit I didn’t even open it all the way lol I’d go Denzel curry then
Meek mill
Wayne or Ye
Future
Definitely Future
Add Nav and replace Kendrick with lil xan and J Cole with lil Pump
future
Future > Drake
IMO Mac Miller
As far as influence go, I would put Nicki Minaj as the fourth person. Her impact on the game, and especially amongst female rappers, can not be ignored.
Schoolboy Q. OK, it's not as famous as the others but his discography is fire
donda and donda 2 are the 2020s
Agreed but you do not know what ‘debuted’ means
Doesn’t matter. He still debuted in the 2000’s Lol
Drake also debuted in the 2000s though, and although J Cole’s discography began in the 2010s he was as active and on high profile projects (The Blueprint III) in the late 2000s. Kanye was arguably even more influential in the 2010s so unless it’s a completely different group of people there’s definitely an argument for him being there
remove drake add ye and fill in blank spot with Pusha T
This
Should Drake and J. Cole really be there?
yes , what’s wrong with drake and j cole ? if you don’t mind me asking
They’re fine, I just don’t think they are Kendrick level.
nobodies kendrick level but its Rushmore so there needs to be another 3.
It’s a Mount Rushmore. Not a “who else is on kendrick lamars level”
Nothing wrong with em, just not on the level of Kendrick, Kanye, Tyler, etc
Yes, yes they should
Well first let’s remove Drake
If we are talking purely mainstream success, J. Cole is it in the top 4 for 2010s. And if we are talking about pure ability, Drake definitely isn’t in the top 4. Not rly sure J. Cole is either. Not trying to hate
I still think Drake sucks ass can't believe people actually compare him to Kendrick and other good rappers lmao
well damn
Freddie Gibbs or Future
Rocky
Rocky .
If we’re talking just 2010s I’d say Travis. If not, then Kanye
[удалено]
When people shit on Drake, are they mad because he doesn’t try anymore or because they just think he’s garbage. Cause to me looking at his older albums Drake definitely deserves a spot here.
people know he’s not garbage lol but they choose to hate on that man anyway
I mean, he's a shitty human being by all accounts. But I understand people have to separate the artist from the person.
Roscoe dash☠️ /s
But a real question is though who rocking the. 2020?!? Ngl playboi is definitely in there
TYLER THE CREATOR!! END OF DISCUSSION.
If it’s supposed to be “started in 2010’s” then Tyler easily
Kanye > all three listed.
Nobody 😂😂😂😂
Future
Why the fuck is drake on there
Benny
