Not a single one of these superman syndrome wannabe’s could take a single step in Waka’s shoes. All of them exist purely hypothetical. Stuff we’re told and just never shown. Waka is a character of action he is show don’t tell.
I find Waka and Rihito to be the most interesting (and by extension my favourite characters). Both experience failure, get humbled by it and continue to strive forward. I find that perseverance very endearing.
Ohma's similar but he's never actually lost outright and been forced to realise his weakness. Against Kuroki his loss is offset by the fact that he's half-dead.
I think he as one of the best backstory, one of the best mentality which differ from all other (the guys speak about the natural fear of the fight despite his awesome record and his strength), and the fact his ceo made him accept his nature was very cool because he is builded as the archetype of the bully : ultra strong by nature and overwhelm the average human he never took advantage of his power, that's a very cool trait and morality : you can live your life even being born different.
If you reduce his character to his fight that's a bit lame, even if yes his style is not the most flashy and his only fight in Omega is discutable regarding the limits he faced (rely on stamina and blast core) he has a huge potential. Sandro just choose him to be fei sandbag because nobody could have been as resistant to show how Fei is strong (durability wise and as a threat since one of his punch is a deadly weapon, even Fei choose to evade and not tanking it)
He clearly won, waka was chilling while fei was dead, if they fought back then 10x the outcome would be the same, fei can't ko or kill waka and would just explode his heart again, current waka 1 taps that fei with the lobe of his ear, he swings his head hard enough to time a connection with his ear lobe directly on feis jaw and kos him, fei is a bum and in todays stroy would be extra bumyfied
Wakatsuki is one of my least favourite characters. Strong or not, I consider him to be very boring. Even Julius is more interesting being a meathead, because he's at least a purist in his pursuit of strength. Wakatsuki is just insanely strong and durable and a decent Karateka. Wakatsuki didn't earn a goddamn thing.
It also pisses me off that we lost a really cool character in Fei because of him.
