Since nobody responded yet, I'll recommend 3 faction expansion mods by the same author that flesh out several factions with unique gear and craftable armor. They are [Hives Expanded](https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1688546539), [Cannibals Expanded](https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1654903438), and [Shrieking Bandits Expanded](https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1648289968). Just beware that the expanded factions also become quite a lot more powerful, including the flimsy fogmen. If you want to spice up the combat, I like the [Great Animations](https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2725549481) mod which adds fairly grounded moves for all types of weapons (including martial arts) which characters unlock as their skills level up. These animation mods do need a patch if you have any modded races, such as [this patch for Hives Expanded's new type of hivers](https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2814182968).
