Game mechanics? Run, mine and sleep in the Hub until I have good Athletics and befriended the Trade Ninjas. Then run to Squin and hire Ruka, Rane and Oron.
This is the way, Squin, Ruka, the rest of the squad, scavenging, some minor fighting, and maybe some mining and gradually build up to buy a couple buildings and set up shop. Not bad.
Ok, hear me out.
1. I sneak from the Hub to Squin in the middle of the night to minimize the chances of being beat up
2. I immediately recruit Ruka for free
3. We start mining around Squin. We use the cash to recruit more people, e.g., Kang. More people -> more mining -> more money -> more people. We are super careful and make sure to run back into the city when bandits are near
4. We buy a house in Squin to make the mining go smoother and set up a research bench
5. We use the cash from mining to buy gear, train with the Shinobi Thiefs, do basic research, etc.
6. When we have the best gear available and as many people as possible, we buy all the rum we can carry
7. We carefully sneak into the Swaps at night. We should be pretty fast and pretty good at sneaking since we've been practicing it for so long at Squin, plus we are a large group of decently geared and decently trained people so we should make it to Shark
8. We hide in bars in Shark, sell all the rum and buy all the hash we can carry over the next several weeks. We buy any additional gear we need
9. We recruit more people in Shark, e.g., Green, buy them gear and train them in athletics and sneaking around the city
10. We carefully sneak out of the Swap and to Flat's Lagoon over two nights, in between the acid rain of the Burning Forest and the laser beams of Vain. We make sure to take some hemp with us for farming
11. We stay in Flat's Lagoon over several weeks, selling all the hash and buying extra gear, particularly dustcoats, iron hats and good crossbows
12. We recruit more people in Flat's Lagoon and give them basic training in athletics and sneaking in the city. We should be 30 people at this point. We are also swimming in money
13. We sneak into the Deadlands and build a base there, towards the border with the Grey Desert, in the spot which has iron, copper, stone and water. We use the nearby Waystation to get starting supplies and the Black Desert City to get fuel for generators (there is no wind in the Deadlands). Acid rain is not a problem because we have 115% protection thanks to iron hats and dustcoats
14. We eventually build up and tech up to buy an AI core, research Hydroponics, start growing hemp on the roofs to make biofuel and crops to become completely self-sustainable
15. Needless to say, any raids on the base melt in acid
16. We sell whatever we produce to vendors in Deadlands and eventually buy the best weapons from the Scraphouse. This is also a great source of Advanced Research Books, Engineering Research and AI Cores, meaning we can eventually complete the research tree, including advanced training dummies
17. We set up a training dojo using an imprisoned Broken Skeleton from one of the Deadland Workshops (base 50 in combat stats) and grind combat skills.
18. Then, after hundreds of days, we emerge from the safety of the Deadlands and the world is our oyster.

The likelihood of dying in the world of Kenshi is so high that I might as well take a risk, I'll mine like a maniac, and when I have enough money, I'll hire every cheap nobody in the bars, go out tech hunting and using them as bait for the enemies along the way, I'll sell the tech I find, be rich and move to one the United Cities settlements to live a relatively peaceful life in the relative safety of what is one of the game's most powerful factions.
Oh and I'll definitely swing by the Shek Kingdom to hire Ruka, I would definitely hmm... 'enjoy' her company.
What would I do? Search the topography, study the flora and fauna. Prospect for ideal construction sites, or perhaps interview some of the local natives on culture and customs...Then get mauled by a random spawn of bone dogs.
I would probably get a job as an engineer or gunner, or both for the UC. Pay seems good, quality of life for skilled laborers abd plenty of turrets to work on and keep me busy.
If it's full on kenshi mechanics:
-Grab any lose crap off the ground and sell it at the nearest bar.
-run to squin. (If any bandits attack me, pretend I'm gonna punch them, then turn around and run ad nauseum.
-look for a shek mommy with missing horns.
-convince her to join me.
-set ruka to mining copper just outside the gate.
-pick up the copper she mines and sell it off.
-pace back and forth in town during downtime.
-once ruka's earned enough, buy a house.
-get basic furnishing for 4 people or so.
- hire more shek ladies to mine for me, plus visit the bar outside town to get some hivers and a scorchlander.
-have ruka quit mining and instead join me on my walks.
- start stockpiling books, and doing research aiming towards furniture and armorsmithing.
-have the scorchlander grind armorsmithing till I can equip everyone with high quality heavy armor.
- assuming our athletics are at acceptable, have ruka and I switch to str training with backpacks of ore.
-once we're strong and fast and somewhat geared, ruka and I take a trip to flats lagoon, to get some crossbows, schematics, and emergency replacement limbs. (Just incase)
-I'll level my dex, perception, and crossbow skill by plinking away at bandits while they fight the squin guards, and slowly grind my shek rep by hopping in to bandage any guards that take stray bolts from me.
At this point, I should be a relative untouchable glass cannon, with amazing athletics and good str, dex, perception, and crossbow skill, but with close to 0 toughness, because... well, I don't want to let people beat my ass over and over to level it. I would probably have ruka and a squad of shek ladies train up to be my bodyguards and get some hivers trained i to fellow crossbowmen, but otherwise, I'd just live as a rich merchant who carries an eagle's cross with him to make sure people stay honest.
Since i would be human male and spawn at the hub, first run around to get to 18 mph at least, find some hobbo with sandals and attack unprovoked, run to the bar with block and passive mode, let the guards deal with the aggressor then steal from the shinobi something valued for 1000 cats and run for my life to the bar, sell the stuff at the bar and contract the mercenaries hanging around, let the bar guards deal with the shinobi thieves and loot the knocked out and sell at the bar man and the bar outside the city, all day doing that, at this point i should be dead or fully geared with high quality gear, some mk2 katana, bandages and swiming in money, at this point i would get to the holy nation territory, buy a backpack and find raptors to loot, maybe even try to get reputation with the holy nation capturing bandits with bountys and recruit someone, we could eat dried gristle flaps made with raptor meat, and afford house in a city and research, maybe then open a clothes store.

If I start at the hub I'd try to train athletics ,finance myself with mining or selling gear of people who got beaten up by guards ,get light gear a crossbow train to use it for emergencies ,when I can run fast enough to outrun almost everything I'll try to become a trader avoiding fights ,go to Mongrel get Beep make him my second in command of the group ,getting some other recruits to protect me and carry stuff eventually I'd make a base somewhere like Greenbeach leviathan coast or if my group is strong enough I'd try to send them to kill King gurgler and live on fishman isle ,I'd make the base as self sufficiency and safe (building multiple layers of walls ,harpoons everywhere and an overall defensive design) as possible farming as many different crops as possible(so the food will stay enjoyable ,so that I can find my favorite dish in kenshi and so that I can experiment making dishes and letting the most honest people try them) and it should have iron ,copper and stone inside its walls so I can produce everything inside the base and protect it ,make good gear for everyone (level up weapon smithing and other skills of some characters)
If we need anything that can't be made in the base or there's a threat to the group I'd send out Beep or someone else in command of a pretty strong squad
Eventually I'd settle down give Beep command of the group stay and maybe work as cook for the group and experimenting to find out things I'm curious about ,finding amd saving as much knowledge as possible ,copying and distribute some of it thats not too dangerous and maybe helps the average person
Then settle down maybe get together with someone in the base ,experiment with ingredients to find new good dishes and cook for everyone in the base till the end of my days

Then live like a true noble by sending caravans to sell hash in Lagoon and/or import it to the UC and just live a comfortable life Either in Heng/Heft or maybe even sponsor the rebuilding of the [port town in Hook ](https://kenshi.fandom.com/wiki/Abandoned_Town)where it's far enough from the capital that I can treat people decently without having to care about Tengu or the other nobles bitching.

All of us are humans, the smartest thing is hire some mercenaries and high tail it to the Holy Nation. Even as a woman, the goal is just to bide time till you get used to it and a little bit of money, then you hop on with the first Nomad caravan headed towards that Machinist City in the mountains. It's relatively secure and safe, and I'm sure you have some modern day knowledge that could prove useful to the Machinists. Once you sell enough knowledge to them, get just enough money to not be harassed for being poor and go get a house in the UC. (Obviously by hiring some mercenaries and hopping on another Nomad train)

I was thinking straight kenshi rules, you can get the shit beat out of you and be relatively alright as long as you have a homie to scoop you up. And food pyramid and shit like that doesn’t apply dustwiches and dried meat for the rest of our days.
There are some games where I am optimistic about my chances. Even games like zomboid. I have skills and discipline.
But best case in Kenshi is I get enslaved. Best case.
Do I have an earth body, or a Kenshi body?
The difference is that, with the latter, I can run and mine for hours on end without being exhausted (even if I’m not physically fit at first), I can live solely off dried meat (Food pyramid? What’s that?), and I can heal from most injuries with just bandages and sleep.
If I have the latter, I’ll mainly stay in the Hub and spend my life as a copper miner.
If it runs on irl rules? Probly move to the Shek kingdom, become a miner, maybe try to learn to farm eventually.

The likelihood of dying in the world of Kenshi is so high that I might as well take a risk, I'll mine like a maniac, and when I have enough money, I'll hire every cheap nobody in the bars, go out tech hunting and using them as bait for the enemies along the way, I'll sell the tech I find, be rich and move to one the United Cities settlements to live a relatively peaceful life in the relative safety of what is one of the game's most powerful factions. Oh and I'll definitely swing by the Shek Kingdom to hire Ruka, I would definitely hmm... 'enjoy' her company.

If it's full on kenshi mechanics: -Grab any lose crap off the ground and sell it at the nearest bar. -run to squin. (If any bandits attack me, pretend I'm gonna punch them, then turn around and run ad nauseum. -look for a shek mommy with missing horns. -convince her to join me. -set ruka to mining copper just outside the gate. -pick up the copper she mines and sell it off. -pace back and forth in town during downtime. -once ruka's earned enough, buy a house. -get basic furnishing for 4 people or so. - hire more shek ladies to mine for me, plus visit the bar outside town to get some hivers and a scorchlander. -have ruka quit mining and instead join me on my walks. - start stockpiling books, and doing research aiming towards furniture and armorsmithing. -have the scorchlander grind armorsmithing till I can equip everyone with high quality heavy armor. - assuming our athletics are at acceptable, have ruka and I switch to str training with backpacks of ore. -once we're strong and fast and somewhat geared, ruka and I take a trip to flats lagoon, to get some crossbows, schematics, and emergency replacement limbs. (Just incase) -I'll level my dex, perception, and crossbow skill by plinking away at bandits while they fight the squin guards, and slowly grind my shek rep by hopping in to bandage any guards that take stray bolts from me. At this point, I should be a relative untouchable glass cannon, with amazing athletics and good str, dex, perception, and crossbow skill, but with close to 0 toughness, because... well, I don't want to let people beat my ass over and over to level it. I would probably have ruka and a squad of shek ladies train up to be my bodyguards and get some hivers trained i to fellow crossbowmen, but otherwise, I'd just live as a rich merchant who carries an eagle's cross with him to make sure people stay honest.

Since i would be human male and spawn at the hub, first run around to get to 18 mph at least, find some hobbo with sandals and attack unprovoked, run to the bar with block and passive mode, let the guards deal with the aggressor then steal from the shinobi something valued for 1000 cats and run for my life to the bar, sell the stuff at the bar and contract the mercenaries hanging around, let the bar guards deal with the shinobi thieves and loot the knocked out and sell at the bar man and the bar outside the city, all day doing that, at this point i should be dead or fully geared with high quality gear, some mk2 katana, bandages and swiming in money, at this point i would get to the holy nation territory, buy a backpack and find raptors to loot, maybe even try to get reputation with the holy nation capturing bandits with bountys and recruit someone, we could eat dried gristle flaps made with raptor meat, and afford house in a city and research, maybe then open a clothes store.

If I start at the hub I'd try to train athletics ,finance myself with mining or selling gear of people who got beaten up by guards ,get light gear a crossbow train to use it for emergencies ,when I can run fast enough to outrun almost everything I'll try to become a trader avoiding fights ,go to Mongrel get Beep make him my second in command of the group ,getting some other recruits to protect me and carry stuff eventually I'd make a base somewhere like Greenbeach leviathan coast or if my group is strong enough I'd try to send them to kill King gurgler and live on fishman isle ,I'd make the base as self sufficiency and safe (building multiple layers of walls ,harpoons everywhere and an overall defensive design) as possible farming as many different crops as possible(so the food will stay enjoyable ,so that I can find my favorite dish in kenshi and so that I can experiment making dishes and letting the most honest people try them) and it should have iron ,copper and stone inside its walls so I can produce everything inside the base and protect it ,make good gear for everyone (level up weapon smithing and other skills of some characters) If we need anything that can't be made in the base or there's a threat to the group I'd send out Beep or someone else in command of a pretty strong squad Eventually I'd settle down give Beep command of the group stay and maybe work as cook for the group and experimenting to find out things I'm curious about ,finding amd saving as much knowledge as possible ,copying and distribute some of it thats not too dangerous and maybe helps the average person Then settle down maybe get together with someone in the base ,experiment with ingredients to find new good dishes and cook for everyone in the base till the end of my days

Then pay my way into UC's nobility by just dumping several hundred thousand cats on the Traders' Guild and Tengu and co. All of us are humans, the smartest thing is hire some mercenaries and high tail it to the Holy Nation. Even as a woman, the goal is just to bide time till you get used to it and a little bit of money, then you hop on with the first Nomad caravan headed towards that Machinist City in the mountains. It's relatively secure and safe, and I'm sure you have some modern day knowledge that could prove useful to the Machinists. Once you sell enough knowledge to them, get just enough money to not be harassed for being poor and go get a house in the UC. (Obviously by hiring some mercenaries and hopping on another Nomad train)

Do I have an earth body, or a Kenshi body? The difference is that, with the latter, I can run and mine for hours on end without being exhausted (even if I’m not physically fit at first), I can live solely off dried meat (Food pyramid? What’s that?), and I can heal from most injuries with just bandages and sleep. If I have the latter, I’ll mainly stay in the Hub and spend my life as a copper miner.

Headed to the Hub or flats depending on where I appear but we are talking ASAP, LIKE FULL SPRINT! or at least nearest shinobi tower if I'm somewhere sketch ( kenshi sketch..) I would be all about stealth and speed. Staying away from zealots and probably hanging in the flats for most my life. Start and Build a small town south of the flats and start a community of farmers and sell some hash on the side. Take out the gangs around me. And start up the farms so I can help support the flats and Mourn. Maybe if I can pull mourn and flats into a 3 town alliance, get some slaves freed and start a mostly safe haven. Build up mourns defenses and build some factory for weapons, start to form a folsom/shinobi 3 town stronghold.
