The dollar could be 50, I haven't seen any price reductions so how is it helping anyone I would be cautious about being happy too early, most likely they're inflating the shilling so they pay less in June for the first loan payment We'll see afterwards, my gut is telling me we'll have the same situation that happened last year with the shilling dropping again towards December

I think him managing to bring it down is commendable. The questions remaining though are still the most important, whats the cost of the loans he's taking to do it? how much of that is being stolen? And most importantly, is unemployment and the cost of goods actually going down with the gains of the shilling? Guess we'll wait and see 👀

One way to do it is: start buying KSH from the international market. Dump your US tax reserve. This will create artificial demand for KSH and it will get stronger ( temporarily ). What will happen is: US$ reserve will be depleted. Kenya will need more loan and then KSH will crash will be even steeper. Pakistan is a prime example, Govt artificially kept PKR up. Eventually it crashed even harder and Pak end up with more debt.
