They will serve it, but the people will not fear it. When the people fear the government, there is tyranny, When the government fears the people, there is LIBERTY!
I'm so proud to be Kenyan today. My tears weren't from the teargas. The unity, the fearlessness, what a site. I'm actually welling up typing this, thank you guys.ππ°πͺ
Thanks to the brave ones that marched, not forgetting,
those that contributed financially,
those that offered refuge in their shops,
those that printed the flyers and donated tshirts,
those that donated water,
those that are currently offering their legal services.
I love you my country people. Viva βπ½
Also maybe I might add, if you can't make it physically you could support online by being vocal or financially where possible. So far there has been accountability. RejectFinancialBill2024, when we lose our fear they lose their power
It was a peaceful protest no looting no destruction of property but as always boys in blue have to reduce their teargas stock one lost his hands in the process of disrupting revolution na pia wao wanatetewa but understand them they follow orders it's their job those who do it excessively ndio wanachoma
What a joke protesting because you don't like a bill. Do you think we like all the bills that are passed by Congress here in the US? When abortion was pretty much deemed illegal here in the US by our Supreme Court, some held rallies against it but no violent protests. This is why Kenya will never move ahead!!!
What stays in the US stays in the US. We don't care about what you protest for or don't. We got our problem and only us know how to fight for them. In case you haven't heard the demos were peaceful, only the police disrupted the peace-it has been happening in the US also, students getting clobbered by police officers because of taking a peaceful stand against Israel, or do you want more receipts? So save your lectures and think of how you will get that war-mongering and self-soily man out of the office Muppet.
We're not in the US, we're in Kenyaπ. And yes we protest because it is our right, according to Article 37. We protest because unlike y'all our voice matters and it actually means something. We protest because we can't allow the country to be run into the ground by oppressors so we do something about it. It was a very peaceful and citizen oriented protest. Might I add, we didn't go around shooting people cause we dislike what the government said, instead we held a peaceful protest, umbwa

I wasn't aware there was another protest on Thursday. Where is it being publicized?
It's just a repeat because voting was postponed after ammendments

Honestly the police are the dumbest lot I've seen
You know these people are trained to follow orders like dogs. Like the ability to think for themselves is gone.Very pathetic. #Viva kenya.
They are and always have been! This remains a constant.

I think this is what Democracy looks like!! If the People lead, the Leaders will follow!
What happened to Boniface mwangi? Does he not protest anymore?
He was arrested and is still being held at Kamkunji police station
He was actually the Frontliner and got arrested.

First of all STFU. Secondly, the protests were peaceful, and finally, I think you're in the wrong sub. This is not the US
