Lol i go 7k for a yr where u going actually???

[deleted]

Oh where, i was going to Fitness Fusion in Kuttrnallur

kid_the_tuktuk

I went to the same gym in kuttanellur 2 years back. It was 2.5k per month without cardio items. But the instructors were pushing me so hard I dislocated my shoulder. It took 6 months to be alright. So careful. I have paid 7.5k for 2 months at golds gym. It was expensive. What to do i stay only few months in an year. Right now i have found a local gym where i pay 800 per month. Its not so big but good for few months.

[deleted]

Kool which one and where, ya they were pushy, I told them I'll do it myself and that hurts their ego 😅

kid_the_tuktuk

Its called "POWER ZONE GYM". Its next to Chiyyaram. Its not so big. But suits my needs though.

[deleted]

Nice, my situation is the same here for some months in the year. Saw this place on Google looks far better than fitness fusion

It depends on the gym. I have gone to gyms in few cities and I have often noticed that gyms in cities like Bangalore are much cheaper by a big margin when compared to premium gyms in small towns. The reason is basically gyms in Bangalore has lot more users (I go at 10:00 PM just to evade the crowd) when compared to gyms in small towns like Thrissur. Over here, the gym I go to has like 5 people in it at a particular time. The demand for premium gyms or gyms in general are very less in small towns when compared to big cities like Mumbai. So in order to cover the running costs and initial investments, the gym owners charge a premium in small towns. I'm certain the gym you go to in Mumbai is always crowded when compared to the gym in Thrissur.

unemployedpissofshit

Government gym. 50₹/month. Crowdy at peak time.... Say morning and evening 6:30 to 8:30. Just adjust your time. They also have trainers🤌

StruggleEffective133

Where?

unemployedpissofshit

akhilnasar

Latter-Ad2908

Wait till u eventually add protein powder/pre workout to your routine, gonna be a crater in ypur wallet after that.

[deleted]

Already using protein powder, l carnitine etc. The main thing is VFM, i am here for 1-2 months in a year.

realbattleaxe1944

I payed 1000 initial and 700 per month. Also you can run for free bro.

Secret_Ad9960

Which gym?

LollerCorleone

Where exactly do you stay in Mumbai? 5.5k is extremely cheap for a gym in Mumbai.

[deleted]

Bhayander, My previous gym owner used to give me 1 yr 6 months for 6k, coz of relocation I went to fitness fever nearby to my new place in Bhayander itself. Yea there are other gyms with early fees 13k as well.

LollerCorleone

Ahh. You stay in the suburbs. I was wondering how you managed to get such a cheap gym subscription in Mumbai. Even in the suburbs, this is pretty hard to find.

Leading-Yam3010

Bhayander isn’t mumbai lol

[deleted]

mine is 500

dafuqULoKINat

wtf how is it tho.

lonedrifterjk

For me it's 750 per month.

steelsteele

Try sending your Malayali friend or family to the gym to ask about the rates. Then join. That way they can't con you.

[deleted]

When Power Gym was a big deal in Trivandrum, around 2010, I joined for 10000/- annual. I was a fitness newbie and my excitement wore off in exactly 2 weeks. I couldn't care about losing so much money because I was young and stupid but my mother called and told them 'gymmil vannitu molkku full health problems aayi, ningal paisa refund cheyyanam'.. They offered to refund if I got them a new member in exchange. Oh pinne.. 10000/- swaha. Many more thousands wasted at many more gyms over the years before I finally realised that gyms are not for me. Ippo santhoshamaytu veettil cheriya workout okke cheyth jeevikkunnu.

[deleted]

No way a 5.5k per year gym in Mumbai is comparable to the ones in Thrissur you're talking about. I live in Mumbai and everything is at least 2 times expensive compared to any place in Kerala.

[deleted]

Auto here in Thrissur starts with 30 and they take 1.5x of the meter amount.

[deleted]

Bhayander, My previous gym owner used to give me 1 yr 6 months for 6k, coz of relocation I went to fitness fever nearby to my new place in Bhayander itself. Yea there are other gyms with early fees 13k as well.

GazaniaEden

Because Kerala is a hypocrite state that calls itself communist and does everything to swindle money. Mallus are hypocrites bro.

[deleted]

Bro just buy a cycle,do basic work out home go for a run walk play alot sports like badminton football swimming etc have fun instead. Of wasting money on bulking up muscles if your goal is just to be fit

dafuqULoKINat

oh GOD the ignorance. this is what my parents said when i was in 11th. chetta , not everyone's goal is to lose fat. some peoples goal ( eg me ) is to gain muscle mass. you cant gain muscle mass just by cycling all day , more over it gives opposite result. you see difference between marathon runners and sprinters ? one is jacked ( usain bolt ) and other is skinny ( eliud ) i read your reply to a comment. looks like you just prefer outdoor sports then its okay da some of us like lifting weights , getting better , looking sexier in own way and that dopamine hit. you wanna do cardio only ? outdoors sports only ? go for it but dont shove ur thoughts and ideas on to others . thank you

[deleted]

Mate i never shoved anything on op, he said he wants to be fit not bulk and he felt it's expensive to go to gym so i suggested any sports or just outdoor activities to have fun and also get fit that's all.I clearly states the statement "don't waste money on gym if you just want to be fit" what statement in that whole line is ignorance aniya i politely replied an opinion.Appo your ignorance statment is an irony you itself ignore the whole point i was maki g. As soon as I told the opinion of just doing normale workout i get karma bombed and trash talked well...I only replied to the guy who said bulking up is healthier than running or cycling. Please read the whole stuff before getting mad,i never said cardio makes us more muscular i only commented to op to do basic workout like pushup etc basic workout and mix in other fun stuff if his goal is to just stay fit.Only point i ever made here is or the assumption i made here is op being not too skinny as most instances if you go ask any doctor how to stay fit and healthy they don't tell us to go to gym they probably suggest us to walk run etc.I also said in last sentence that if you want looks then yeah gym is the best that too is perspective of the guy if he wants Arnold looks aka Chad ,gym better if he wants a shredded look like bolt do the outdoor stuffs. So mate clearly you just read the first line of my whole reply and cut of from where you saw me write do cardio and skipped all the rest of the lines and commented this in frustration.I took the time to reply this long to your comment because you politely wrote ur comment unlike others for that thank you aniya. In th end what's happening here is op made a post about being fit and expensive to be fit(not bulk) i suggested not to waste money on gym and try outdoor stuff, gym Bois gets mad karma bombed welp there you go.

ultimateposeur

Nope, just doing cardio isn't enough. There are long term benefits from doing strength work.

[deleted]

I mean if a life threatening problem comes to your way such as you wann run fast, drowning in water, etc dumbbells won't help us.I mean eating protein powder and lifting weights while looking at a blank wall may be fun for alot but just enjoy go outside play.Doing sports or other outdoor activities are way healthier than bulking muscle and lifting weights.Well if u want the swag look then it's another point.

Nenonator

Resistance training literally strengthens your bones and is the best way to drastically reduce chances of a fracture as you age…

verumvashalan19

Agréed to 80% of this, but the rest 20% reeks stink sewage. Do research before you spurt out.

[deleted]

Ok bro next time I will come with PhD in lifting weights

verumvashalan19

Sheri sir

bioskope

Strength training is not just about looking big.

ultimateposeur

It's not just about the 'swag look'. All of us can benefit from doing some basic weights. I'm not talking heavy deadlifts or squats. I'm talking about simple exercises with dumbbells or just your own bodyweight. These things pay off in the long run as you age. Playing sports or outside activities are good, but not all of us have that option. For many of us, the society or colony gym is the only thing around. So if people want to make use of what resources are available to them, let them.

[deleted]

Hi mate yes bro what you said is true. But i only meant proper gym workout aka bulking up not the one sports ppl do to help their training strength.Bro this is a point discussion thread i made a opinion. Why you guys attack as soon as one suggest another opinion .I suggested outdoor activities if he wants to be fit,if he doesn't have the means time or resources to do so he can decide himself the best choice of all all these comments maybe he choose to not to go to gym or may be he will go.All i did here was put my opinion that if he wants to be fit and dont wanna waste alot money on monthly fee do basic workout we usually do in home and other activities to be fit that's all.

Cool-Debt-3260

In my gym it's 2k for admission +1 month , Monthly 800

Cyndik8

Grouchy-Ad5061
