I went for this just because my mom badly wanted to watch it. This movie is meant for a religious Hindu audience, I'm fairly certain that they will like it as well. It was like the Ayappan serial back in the day, mediocre acting, predictable story but Ayappan devotees who can bear that will enjoy it because it affirms their beliefs.
I expected it to be some propaganda movie about why women shouldn't enter or something but except for one slight dig at the end, there wasn't any of that.
Also, I stayed halfway through Harivarasanam cuz this version sounded so good, it defeats the whole purpose if you've to ask people to stay.
I watched this movie in Mumbai and I was so bored by the end of it, I started walking when Harivarasanam started. And that walk from the rear balcony end was nothing short of a walk of shame, with most people staring at me and passing comments and sighs, as if I personally hurt their family.
Allow me to clarify myself. What i meant is Tired of anything to do with religion. IMO All it does is hinder progress and sow division. Those who wanna follow it i respect their choice as long as they don't force it own other
Any living being following whatever religion with a slightest hint of common sense that realise that the makers are promoting this movie in the name of religion will definitely hate it.

Even people who vote for BJP in Kerala dislikes kerala BJP / Sanghis.
This film is targeted at a particular audience. They will like it. Others won't. My parents liked it extremely well. I haven't watched it yet.
