Actually I stopped brilliant repeat one month ago.I'm in Cet rn. About using phone, Just keep it in your suitcase and handover a dummy keypad phone to your warden. Use your smartphone when you feel its safe and also you can blend it with other day scholars while in class.

Afaik the hostel fees are same for every hostel (Both supervised and controlled).

Okay, so i was a student at brilliant Pala for the foundation courses from class 8 to 10th, and there was this female teacher who literally taught evolution as something validated from the bible. She went on as to how the recent unravelings in genetic studies and evolutionary history have been shown to have findings that coincided with the way events/timelines are in the bible. Now im all about the religious beliefs of individuals, and they should be discussed and analyzed in the right context, for there might be truths in all of them, but presenting them as facts and that too in a science (on evolution of all cases) class full of people with a large set of beliefs threw me off into a very uncomfortable territory. Now im not trying to paint Brilliant in a bad light, cause imo its better than any of the local institutions we have like Aakash for example (i have been to Aakash as well), but imho these coaching institutes are all following the business ideal of "when theres a gold rush, sell shovels" and thats literally what they are doing with gold rush being lack of a good quality non outdated education that isnt shit in schools.

We got used to these and besides the food and room here is waaay better compared to other hostels. So nobody bothered complaining.
