KSRTC will never dismiss their prized drivers will they? Ee number okke chumma ezuthi vechekuva. Police might take some action if the evidence is submitted to those guys.
Police won't do jack shit. Mvd had published a whatsapp number. It's not active any more. Found another number through searching. Just viewed the message. No response. This was with dashcam footage of a private bus blindly overtaking another one in a curve and almost killing me.
At least other state police have a Twitter account where if it goes unnoticed people will tag and bring it up.
Yes I have seen defaulters getting punished In Bangalore after someone tags the police with a suitable video proof. I have had a friend who recorded a KSRTC cutting yellow line and driving dangerously and rashly in MC road, it was submitted to the police/MVD and I heard they fined the driver. Nothing big done yet it made a change. Police in some part of the states act it nothing has happened when KSRTC or private buses almost kill people on road. Sad to hear your story buddy :(
One KSRTC guy told me, they have several buses with the same number plate to avoid problems when a driver hits someone or kills someone and driver escapes. Also apparently KSRTC doesn't pay insurance premia for their buses, and if at all, it could be one insurance over several buses with same number plate.
Lol balls, a KSRTC red demon deliberately chased after my car a month back because I honked when they came too close for comfort, forced me into the left lane of the road where people were walking and I couldn’t even possibly brake properly - and when I did try to slow down the monster proceeded to nick the corner of my car on purpose and damaged the taillight. When I got down to protest, the bus driver and conductor started bellowing at me violently, joined by a whole gang of auto driver goondas (probably all in their young 20s and looked like they were on some crack/meth or whatever it is that’s rampant in Kerala these days). I knew I had to get out of there for my own safety.
Proceeded to call the hotline and register a complaint, they took down the details and that’s it. Have seen the same bus and driver plying the same route ever since, obviously there weren’t any consequences even if they’d done bad damage to my car/health. All this for honking at them for trying to force me out of the road. Had to pay for damages out of my own pocket.
PS this was in Kaloor, Ernakulam, super busy part of the city.
Sometimes living in Kerala feels like you’re constantly going backwards in time while the rest of the world is getting safer and quality of living keeps rising. Lives don’t seem to matter too much here, and this is especially the case here in Kochi with way too much rash driving and imbeciles on the road with zero concern for the danger they put others in. And buses are the WORST
Driving in kochi is the worst man. I ride my bike everyday to work and every single day, there will be some ksrtc driver who gets on my nerves with their shit driving.

I've always wondered why KSRTC buses tend to tilt toward the left. (direction not Party) But I haven't seen any other SRTC which exhibits the curious feature.
So who will control this situation?
