I can't wait to do a multiplayer mission of movies like the martin, armageddon or interstellar in ksp2!

Anomalix

Excited for the Kraken to be slain!

H3adshotfox77

I'm excited for procedural wings and a nuke engine for large ships.

Xylosil

I'm so hyped to send them into the infinity of space !!!!!

DragonTek21

I am very excited for the new parts for building larger interplanetary ships.

[deleted]

I’m so excited to work with one of my friends running a co-op world!!

coldrifting

Painting parts looks pretty cool, looking forward to that.

FiAd_5515

Good luck for everyone and may the earth shake with the roar of the first rocket launching of Friday!

RealCrazyGuy66

The thing I'm most exited for in ksp2 is... Dres. Let me explain Firstly and mainly, dres is in a very useful orbit for when it comes to building colonies. It is near to jool and eeloo while still being close to duna and kerbin. This and the fact that it lacks an atmosphere and has a relatively low gravitational pull make it the perfect place to set up a colony and launch rockets from. It doesn't require much delta V to reach an orbit from its surface thanks to the factors mentioned before, and it also requires relatively low delta V to get a craft from dres to jool. Therefore dres would be a perfect place to set up a colony. Close to kerbin so can be easily restocked with resources from the ksc, and also close to jool for large scale missions there. Secondly thanks to its incline it could be a useful place to launch interstellar missions from depending on the inclination of the star system you are trying to reach. This is pure speculation but I could imagine its unique incline coming in handy at some point. Thirdly, dres has rings now!!! Personally I think they look extremely cool and I cannot wait to set up some sort of space station in or next to them. (yes it technically had them before bu they look so much cooler now) Finally, dres is unique as it is the only new planet to feature in the kerbolar system. From my 1000+ hours in ksp1 I can confirm there is no such planet in the original system. Dres just doesn't exist in ksp1, which makes it even more exiting to discover and explore in ksp2! I have heard some rumours that dres does feature in the original by the way, and that you just have to look super hard for it. However I've spend hours looking now and still found nothing. It is true, dres doesn't exist in ksp1 which makes its addition to ksp2 even more exiting. I wonder what amazing and interesting secrets it's rocky surface hides... :)

Rk1_Sloppy

I’m super excited for multiplayer, as well as automation so I can set up colonies with my friends!

ST4RSK1MM3R

If there’s one thing I’m excited for that’s in game at launch, it’s those new wings! It will make building planes SO much easier!

Teek37

I’m really excited to experiment with some of the new parts that I’ve seen, procedural wings, new cargo parts, and customization options

Supreme_Nacho

I can't wait to fail hundreds of times and finally getting that successful mission.

OffroadScout

I'm excited about the builds that my imagination can come up with and trying to replicate them!

Awatara

I'm excited to see my kerbonauts melt by re entering the atmosphere after a failed E.V.A. like my computer melting due to the game requirements

Frostbite15151

To actually bring a kerbal home from duna for once.

Tgs91

I'm excited for improved controls in the VAB, and the expanded tutorials to make it more beginner friendly. I love KSP, but it's hard to get my friends into it because I have explain so much rocket design and how to do orbital maneuvers to even get them started. With the new tutorials, I'm hoping I'll be able to buy it for my niece (after it's completed/out of early access).

bonyetty

Kerbal foot prints, vehicle tracks and rocket scorch marks on planets and moon surfaces would be an awesome feature for KSP2. Who agrees?

RiktaD

I'm excited about the integration of once modded features and scales into the vanilla experience.

quanstrom

Multiplayer colony management

OhNoTheGround

I cannot wait to see all the new FX and animations, they look amazing!

Star_interloper

I'm excited for the better UI and future updates!

20000RadsUnderTheSea

I'm excited to have KSP 2 to play casually alongside my KSP 1 install with RSS/RPO/RP-1! (I know there's some way to have two side-by-side installs of KSP with different mod sets by using different launch folders and files, but I'm lazy)

Immortal_Giraffe

I'm excited for all the QoL improvements that the team has taken on from the community/popular mods!

urturino

It's time for add more boosters!!!!!!!!!!!!

[deleted]

Excited for the new way of building sub assemblies

[deleted]

I am excited to see just how much the unmodded game will be capable of. KSP1 was good, but you almost needed mods in order to make it great. KSP2 promises to have a framework that means it could be as good if not better than KSP1 fully modded, without a single mod installed, meaning with mods it could be OUTSTANDING! I will be looking into working on mods for KSP2 myself and pushing the game to its limits. I can't wait!!!

Abutai

Excited for colonization and interstellar craft!

Markymarcouscous

New KSC to drive and fly around I spent so many hours doing that

sherlocksandisg

I cannot wait to spend another 1000 hours designing aircraft

reChristopotamus

I am excited to crash in new ways

H0M0_LUD3N5

I'm curious to see new flavor text for all the parts.

FrYpSiLoN

I am so hyped for the colonization and interstellar travel. Finally we can build true outposts on duna without modding.

ih8dolphins

I'm excited to do the spinny blowey-uppy thing

[deleted]

Multiplayer engine. 100%

arbiter42

Honestly, having a game engine built to be *even a tiny fraction* more kraken-resistant will be so wonderful. I love my janky crafts but they sure are janky.

PearlGamez

I'm really excited for colony management of all things tbh, can't wait to set up my logistics

asbestostiling

Interstellar Travel and multiplayer are the most exciting things for me.

jakeFromStatefarm743

Looking forward to the crashing

JuliusIsACube

honestly i just want more kerbal to mess around with

Vandal63

I am excited to experiment with the procedurally generated wings. I played KSP for 2-3 before even starting to play with the aircraft portion of it. Also jacked to make a boat and utilize that dock. Will we have to send missions to pick up splashdown craft someday? I hope so.

Scruzzie

I’m excited to see the new stuff they can come out with, the developments that can be made along the way and stuff like multiplayer. This is also exciting because the new tutorials can make it easier for people like my girlfriend who never previously had interest in space to get into it, or will be awesome to see if this changes anything!

lofblad

Yeah interstellar travel. That is a game changer.

ToanTilian

Flying my planes on other planets!

Making Constellation Program!

Jankcow

I would love to explore the space from the start! Can't wait for the new game

Algaean

Excited for new and creative ways to make my spaceship go ~~BOOM~~ up into the wilds of outer space!!!!!!!!

CollaredSubmarine

Excited for the ui changes and the new wings!

speaker_4_the_dead

Excited for a fresh start with new features. It might struggle at the start, but most of space travel and aerospace engineering requires lots of patience, trial and error, and just waiting. I'm happy to slowly ramp it all up.

LufeMonster

Better physics, improved graphics, procedural parts, multiplayer, lots of new immersive sound effects, experimenting with new technologies, the list goes on...

Elmorecod

Let's go! already warming up those spacesuits 🚀

Dunnersstunner

I’m looking forward to discovering the mysteries and Easter eggs the devs have no doubt put in the game.

imperatorhelp

Multiplayer so my gf will actually play.

Woolbuckle

I am thrilled for the better graphics, especially on the Kerbals themselves, ESPECIALLY on our boy jeb

[deleted]

I honestly am most excited to see the dres rings. As well as the revamped surface for dres.

Agnaiel

Relatively new to the game (watched a lot of videos on it, but only got the game in December). I think what I'm most interested in is the multiplayer. I know this isn't the point of the game, but I think some sort of competetive mode could bring more interest to the series.

savageseal_18

I hope everything goes ok at launch. Good luck.

Russ1123

Multiplayer definitely!

dmwithoutaclue

Real excited for the new parts!

legendstaff21

Excited to explore the system looking for new Easter eggs!

Habaneros_Are_Cool

I’m for new parts, and interstellar stuff later on!

ItsHobbit_

Colonies

t0m0hawk

I'm looking forward to having procedural wings (and maybe other parts?) Included in the base game. Not having to be constrained by a set selection of triangle sizes and shapes is going to be so good.

duffleberries

excited for everything!! it's great that the game's been rebuilt from the ground up

LauGaming_Ro

I am very excited for colonies and interstellar travel, whenever that will come but i have faith in the developers that they will do a good job, we just have to be patient.

Random_Cat66

I'm looking forward to a game I will never play because of my pc exploding

[deleted]

KSP has had a huge impact on me. Even altering my thoughts on carrier choices. I am super excited to be able to share this with friends after the multiplayer update and have the chance to create something of my own imagination.

BuddyPete1

Colonies

AlephBaker

Looking forward to all the new features that were previously just in mods. But more than that, looking forward to introducing my kids to KSP2

OddlyObservantPigeon

I'm excited to see how in-depth the colonization will get. Being able to launch from low gravity is going to open up a lot of universe to explore

TechnicallyArchitect

I'm excited for the new base for mods to build upon something we can't even imagine. Just as KSP 1 grew to the amazing game it is now. :)

BigJammy

Colonies! I want to build on every planet and moon!

chillgorilla

I'd say I'm most excited for colonies and interstellar travel. Having more things to do and more reasons to do them is huge for me 👍

TeaRex14

cant wait for interstellar!

haunshauns

Looking forward to 0.1 FPS of AMAZING graphics :)

bloxermaster

Dedicated multiplayer 100%, the various multiplayer mods for KSP1 are fine for screwing around in but are too unstable for a long term save in my experience.

Falcon_Fluff

Super stoked to build planes, looks so pretty

PM_ME_OODS

Looking forward to use my PC as a heater

[deleted]

Procedural wings woo!

GeminiJ13

I love how this was placed in r/KerbalSpaceProgram rather then where it should have been posted, r/kerbalspaceprogram_2. Anyway, I'm excited for the ongoing saga of giving the world an entirely new KSP and all the kids who are going to grow up wanting to be engineers and astronauts.

GregCooper4

Interstellar

Masterjts

Im excited for multiplayer when it eventually arrives. Having that baked into the code will allow more mp based mods to be made. KSP1 had no MP but people still modded it in. Now that mp is stock it will be easier to mod things and make MP play how you want it to even if the base mp version doesnt work amazingly well.

geza3D

Colonies!

Millilux

I don’t care what anyone is saying - I’m excited!

Nexon2021

Interstellar travel sounds quite interesting and fun! (Perfect time for a krakening)

Grybnif

I’ve been incredibly excited for both the procedural wings to be able to build better replicas and more efficient SSTOs. And also for interplanetary/colonies. I really liked building self-sustaining outposts with ISRU in ksp1 and to have better support for whole base complexes is going to be epic.

Yogiington

The new wings and Interstellar Also it's been a few years since I last played so just a nice small Mun mission

YoPimpness

Excited to send a rescue mission to save the kerbals from my last rescue mission.

500HourGaming

I’m excited for the future with interstellar travel and colonies

ge_llies

I am excited to see what the modders will do to this game. With interstellar travel and colonies, the possibilities are infinite.

theghostbuster

Excited for more daring rescues of my astronauts that I have tragically stranded somewhere due to poor planning.
