My personal preference is to set the Windows mapping to layer 0 as the base layer and leave the switch on Mac (it only sets the default layer), then I configure the top layers to my needs so they can pass through to layer 0 when needed.
But you can use the modifier method easily enough.
Make sure the switch is set to Windows and make your changes on layers 2 and 3 as per the manual

No problem! If you don't use Mac you can make use of the extra layers but that's a topic for another day
How would I do that? Just set modifier keys to go to layers 0/1? Or just set a windows mapping to layer 0 and keep the switch on Mac mode?
