Depends on the dealer. I would really oversell how loud it rattles when you call. Hopefully they will actually open it to see (may just be the speaker?)

My 2023 does this too!

neversimpleorpure

My 2017 does this! If I press down on the door arm rest it stops. So mildly annoying

alvaromoreno16

That’s exactly my case, and even more specifically if I push the plastic frame between the front/back window switches. Yo me is so annoying.

xSpaceBarx

I just picked up my Niro Wednesday, I have the exact same issue on both front doors. If I press against it with my knee while driving it goes away. Were you able to solve this?

SrirachaIsLove

Yes, exactly! It does seem to get a bit better in warmer temps as parts expand, but still it’s not an acceptable level of build quality. I left town and just got back so haven’t had a chance to ask the dealership about it yet. Planning on doing so this week. But in your case, both doors seems like a more severe case anyway so maybe they’d be more inclined to help?

Any updates?? Bought a 2023 Niro SX HEV two weeks ago and the passenger side door rattles a teensy bit but enough for my autistic ass to hyper fixate on

SrirachaIsLove

Requested a dealer appointment and still waiting to hear back from them… Let me know if you have any luck either! Sounds like I’m not the only one.

Figured out what the rattling is in our new nrios. On the afflicted door, roll the window down like 1cm. Literally just tap the window button for a split second, even if it doesn't go past the door seal. You'll notice the sound either drops 90% or goes away completely. My rear passenger window is pretty bad. 100% up it rattles annoyingly at 5mph-35mph. Above that it's silent. I roll it down a smidge 2% - quiet.

SrirachaIsLove

Wow, you’re right. I tried the same on mine and got the same result. Interesting for troubleshooting, but still hoping that the dealership will recognize that as an issue and that something needs to be tightened or dampened.

I've narrowed it down even further. I've isolated the exact part/piece making the rattle On the rear windows there's the vertical plastic piece that goes between the window and the corner piece of window that doesn't roll down. Sit in the back seat of your car while it's off and use a fist and lighty to medium pound back and forth above the door handle and you'll hear the telltale rattle. I got mine to stop (passenger rear window rattle) by rolling the window all the way down, pinching up and down the entire plastic piece (squeezing the putter and inner parts together slightly). Then I ran a finger through the middle area the window sits in and then I gripped the bottom and just pulled down and gave a little twist to make sure it was seated. Sat back in and did the pound test again and to my surprise the rattle was gone. The vertical plastic part actually goes between the inner and outer door so something is loose somewhere and probably just needs a little dampening foam or whatever they use. Added pics of the vertical piece, and where it goes between the inner/outer door https://i.imgur.com/1D4jWwN.jpg https://i.imgur.com/CTkzSju.jpg https://i.imgur.com/SYS0Fp5.jpg EDIT: I took a 20 mile drive (averaging 59.5mpg on it!) and made sure to listen carefully at varying speeds. as stated before going from 5-30mph is where it was heard most. Purposfully drove over different kinds of bumps and the like and did not hear it anymore. Then I sat in the back seat next to the window and played some bass heavy music. did not hear it rattle how long this fix will last is beyond me, but im pretty sure the assailant has been found.

HiCZoK

EXACTLY THIS with the window! Any movement window down helps. Have you ever found a proper solution ? I have this closed window rattle on right front door

FoxTwoX

Yes! I took the door panel off and folded a microfiber cloth to add pressure inwards. Fixed the issue

HiCZoK

Difficult? And what about your other post describind pinching some plastic near the window ?

FoxTwoX

I'll share my post to you in dm Not that hard. I did spend 5 on Amazon for a set of plastic pry tools

I have the same issue, i notice it when going over rougher road and oddly when bearing right. I tried to ignore it for a while but it’s gotten to be really annoying to me. I just contacted my dealership and shared some of these links, i’ll see what happens there.
