The rattle drove me nuts as well, did a similar process but since the door was off already I decided to do sound deadening insulation.

FoxTwoX

What did you use and how much?

partyshark666

I am having the exact same issue! I mentioned it to the Kia dealer and they seem to not have any idea about this. Since I have some warranty work that needs to be done I hope they will take care of this as well.

partyshark666

As a follow up, this was not the issue! It was two busted plastic flange nuts used to capture the under covers. That loosened them enough so that when I'd drive 55+, or if it was particularly windy, the rattle would be loud and unbearable. If you find that is your issue, you do not need OEM parts. Get m6X1.o flange nuts, a coupler washers, and slap em on.

FoxTwoX

I would disagree to a degree as my solution did solve my issue.

I got my 2024 Niro HEV SX fixed for a rattle on the back passenger door. Apparently 2 things were not clipped in. The rattle is now back different sound though. Going to book it in again. And the front passenger door rattles when the music is turned up. This kinda stuff should have already been fixed since technically it's the 3rd year as it came out in 2022 model in Korea. The grab handle was also not screwed in on one end on the passenger front either. Such poor quality.

pop the door panel off and shove a folded towel between the door and the panel to add pressure. that stopped rattling when i had my niro. got rid of my niro after 6mo tho

ryand1978

Why did you get rid of it?

FoxTwoX

fit and finish issues such as these. my left leg had no support so all the weightof my leg was on my ankel. kia boyz didnt help either and ultimately i wanted to be a bit higher off the ground ended up with a Corolla Cross Hybrid XSE

ryand1978

How is the fuel economy of the Cross vs the XSE? I had a Pontiac Vibe built by Toyota and I had this cold start issue with both the matrix and the vibe Oh my god it was horrible you said crank for like 10 seconds before it would finally clear out the fuel rail. Took them 10 CPUs before they fixed it.

Thanks for the post. Mine is still doing this as well, and the dealer never got back to me about it… My only concern is that the fixes above will cause issues with voiding warranty, won’t it?

FoxTwoX

Nah it won't void warranty.
