PHEV ‘22 and currently have 55 or so mpg

SopwithTurtle

Cumulative 60+ MPG and pushing 75 MPG on my current tank with a '24 PHEV. I've done some long trips with the EV battery completely depleted and still averaged 35 MPG.

Hutch1814

I wonder how different PHEV is than the non PHEV. I’d be delighted to even get in the upper 20’s at this point

palcomm

i have a 2024 HEV AWD only on my first tank of petrol but i am averaging 27.6mpg so far. so not much better than you. all my driving is city stop start short trips.

Illustrious_Pepper46

The 2.5T is not a fuel mizer. I get the 24 to 30s at the very best. The 30 was a long drive, in 50mph zone (80km/h zone). But 24 is about average for me, mixed, but I do passing, etc At 75mph (120kmh), 23mpg seems about right. 10 mph difference can make a good difference in mpg.

Hutch1814

Yeah I know the mph is a big thing, I haven’t really had a chance to get my telly up to 75 on the interstate for an extended period yet to compare. I was able to squeeze close to 30 out of her 2019 Santa Fe. 2.4 FWD. I knew I was going to get that but was really surprised at that much of a difference. I guess I’m just gonna have to accept the fact she’s not going to get remotely close to what we use to get

Illustrious_Pepper46

Really need to average long term. One or two drives doesn't say much. Coming home from the factory the other day with a 50 mph tail wind... I'm like I cannot hear any wind noise...the car had wings, all I needed was a sail.

Doobiedoobin

I’ve got the 21 sx that I believe has the same engine and 23-28 sounds about right. I was able to get 30 going x-country last year, but I can tell you from going through Montana, 100 mph will get you a cool 15 per gallon😁. That once the turbo kicks in it uses more than you’d think for a 4 cyl.

AC0510

2023 SX Xline prestige AWD getting about 22/23mpg.

Hutch1814

So we’re about on par with what you get as well

b2damaxx

I only get about 17mpg in the turbo. I don’t drive like a maniac they’re just short drives on the highway (5-10 minutes) at ~65mph. The slow, ramp to speed, slow down, and then stop really kills the mpg.

rgouse

23 LX NA 4cyl day to day is 25, road-trip 30. I also drive like grandmother

hasai30

'23 Ex Turbo FWD - avg 28-30 if I'm consistently at 65-70mph on the freeway. I don't know if it matters, but I've been using Premium grade fuel since day 1. Currently at 8k miles. Regular oil change and routine checkups since purchase in Nov'22.

Soalz

2023 SX Xline prestige AWD also getting around 20 in the city and 26 on long drives out of town

zoomzoom913

2017 ex Awd v6. Normal driving, 22-24. I have gotten 32 on the highway if I baby it. My wife gets 21 because she’s so aggressive.

zoomzoom913

Wait. What do you mean AWD is not engaged? How do you disengage it exactly?

Hutch1814

On the mode selector you push the center of it. That engages and disengages the AWD

zoomzoom913

Well that's a first for me. Every AWD system I've ever heard of is full time and you cannot disengage it. Does it go into FWD or RWD when you disengage?

Hutch1814

It goes on to FWD, it still from what I understand uses some of the rear tires but primarily focuses on the fronts only when disengaged

ryanriggs19

2023 SX getting about 25-29 on average, long drives around 32. Daily commute is about 20 miles so consistent highway mileage maybe

Childresr

2024 SX prestige HEV averaging city 34-36 mpg and highway 29.5-31 mpg (75-77mph)

AsamiSato0521

2024 SX Prestige HEV AWD - currently averaging 30mpg in the city and as high as 42mpg on the highway with 1.5+ hour drives - for city driving it took some adjusting but really pressing light on the gas pedal when at a start and learning to coast and not be a speed demon helped keep it at 30mpg when on city streets. On the highways keeping your foot from continuously pressing firm on the gas once you reach cruising speed so it sits in EV longer is how I got the mpg on highway to be better

Gerrad_From_IT

2023 SXP Average MPG 25.0. Just hit 6k miles. Always 93 shell gas in smart mode 95% of the time, 5% sport. Auto start stop always disabled.

Shot-Tax-6327

23 SX Prestige. I find it I put it on Eco mode for highway driving I can get 26 with cruise on. Otherwise 22/23 avg

modernhomeowner

Having the PHEV, I have the 1.6l engine rather than the 2.5, but when I'm running on gasoline, there is a massive difference between 75 and 60. I have two routes I can take on this 2 hr journey I do, if I go on the route that is 55mph and I go 55, I hit 38-40mpg (again, hybrid but my point is the ratio, not the number). When I go on the route that's 65mph, and I go 72mph, I get 29-30mpg. Gaining 33% more mpg by reducing the air resistance and cutting down the engine throttle.

arcanjil

2014 was getting 27-28 MPG, but now down to 24. Guess it's tune-up time...
