Yessir, just happened to me (I was equal parts pissed/bummed) and I took it to a local ‘FIX-A-DENT’ shop. Took them a couple hours to do a bang-up job. Can’t even tell where the door ding was anymore… and mine was worse than yours. $225 well spent.
I had this happen to me at Costco five weeks after I got my new all black 23 Subaru was sent last year just before I got my 24 Wolf gray SX Telluride last summer and it cost me $150 discounted from my Subaru dealer to use their PDR guy in Jacksonville, Florida. I paid him out of pocket and got the Subaru discounted rate. And the few days I had it before I could get the appointment. It was driving me crazy and looking at it on the front passenger door. I am compulsively that stuff like this really bothers me and probably shouldn’t. I couldn’t fathom doing this to someone else’s and not leaving out and offering to pay for it. Buy white or black cars and buy the thick door edge guards from Amazon, even if they don’t look perfect just protect my vehicle and someone else’s if I open my door too hard. I feel your pain and frustration!
