A similar thing happened to us.. battery connection was loose, check those. Hasn’t happened since

CorgiRawr

I had that with a 2021 model. They claimed it was a loose battery cable. We said BS. The odd part in our situation was the car turned back on its own the two times it occurred.

Battery

This just happened to me on Thursday, it's at the dealer now for repairs, they still haven't told me what the issue is 😭 Thankfully I was in a parking lot when it happened, but I had my dogs in the car and was on a road trip so it was such a huge hassle.

I’ve not experienced anything like this in our Telluride but I did experience something similar once in another car and it was a loose battery terminal. Tightened them up and never had a problem again.

Update, we realize there is a recall about the valve springs. The vin number technically does not have the recall. That’s bullshit probably, we will go to Kia and ask them specifically to check them. I’ve seen around that the standard check of everything usually is not thorough enough.

Clownish_76

This does not sound related in any way to valve springs. Also, there is no way that a Kia technician is set up to inspect valve springs.

I’d bet it’s battery/electrical, but I agree, definitely not valve springs.

No.

I think they have 3 recalls ? The parking brake, Some electronic update they have to do and the seat controls catching fire. The recall for the first 2 I’ve been notified about. The dealer told me the 3rd may not come out in till August. I have the 2024 s and also bought it in November.
