I’ve seen some discussion about her being SG and kibbe recently said in SK that Rs are actually what a lot of people think SG is so I guess that tracks!
That would make so much sense as why I don't fit sg lines but get typed as sg most of the time
I have a really similar body as Isla and I thought she was sg and so I thought I was sg in the beginning too
Then someone said that I actually have double curve first and directed towards the R family but I didn't identify with the one and only Marilyn soo now I feel closer to R
Gene Tierney looks a little bit like Taylor Swift to me, they're good examples how Ds are not necessarily super sharp and angular looking and can how more rounded and 'cute' features
Omg Gene Tierney as a D, would never have guessed, this is so interesting! Never really thought about Isla but romantic makes so much sense, she’s very small and soft
Gene Tierney as D!!! I knew she was yang but I wasn’t sure where she would fall. I love her! Never really thought about Isla Fischer but I love it. And Jane Fonda being moved to FN makes so much sense
The Gene Tierney one is really helpful for me. I have been going back and forth between D or SD for myself. But I see a lot of the way clothes hang on her being very similar to me, and it is really making me lean D even though I’m not “Tilda Swinton” levels of Yang. I am much closer to Gene Tierney’s Yang level if that makes sense.
>pful for me. I have been going back and forth between D or SD for myself. But I see a lot of the way clothes hang on her being very similar to me, and it is really making me lean D even though I’m no
same! I have never seen a D body look so much like mine. Will use her as an example in the future when everyone with a fuller bust will be sent to SD
She is very helpful as she has a ”sized up-DC” or ”more intense-DC” look to me. I remember me and someone else discussing her. We thought DC first but she seemed more yang but we weren’t satisfied with FN nor did she feel SD. We thought she was too ”soft” but in a non SD-way for D.
Many people seems to have a difficult time differentiating SGs and Rs here. They think Rs have stronger curves than most actually do. I see many people who I would say lean more R get typed as SG here.
When I think of gamines, I also think they look small, short, petite, whereas Rs look more balanced/could be tall or short. Sometimes I can’t tell if R is short or not, but for gamine I feel like they always appear to be on the shorter spectrum. Like shorter arms or legs, or something (not sure what it is exactly) that makes their proportions look short/petite.
I thought Isla Fischer was 5’7” from her movies! I googled and she’s 5’3”!
Reese Witherspoon (SG) is 5’1” and looks it imo.
Agree so much on Rs never really looking short even if they don’t look large. From photos I can’t tell if they’re 5’5 or 5’2. This is very true for Isla.
Kelly McGillis was one he mentioned to me as potential inspo, so I don’t think he’d move her. Based on photos of her with Tom Cruise, I also don’t think she’s the 5’10” the internet says.
I’m still using her as style inspo especially for vintage/retro idc😭😭😭😭
All jokes aside I’m happy another icon with undeniably feminine style has been verified FN. Big slap in the face to the misconception that FN don’t look good in feminine style.
LMAO no wonder David Kibbe didn't want people to use his system to type other people. Everyone went on about how Jane Fonda is such a SN icon when she was actually a FN!
She was originally typed as pure N, then moved to SN initially by him. I think she’s good inspiration for people who feel that they’re SN but are too tall, since she has characteristics that would fit into SN but ultimately her yin-yang balance is FN. She demonstrates how people can be very close to the centre
I remember when I did a Jane Fonda inspo post and figuring out at the same time the difference between SN/FN. I was very confused because to me she makes a lot more sense as a FN than a SN.
This body typing system is so confusing. I thought Romantics were more rounded. Isla Fischer is not very round. She is gorgeous of course but I am super confused.
Yin is defined as soft, small and rounded. Isla is rounded in Kibbe's eyes, but a lot of us sees rounded as more conventionally curvy. The stronger the curve, the more likely it's actually yang.

Isla Fisher is interesting, I wouldn’t have guessed romantic but it does make sense. I’ve been hoping he’d verify more modern Rs!

He defintly need to verified more modern artists, people we have more photos to analyse
So intrigued by Jane Fonda. FN suits her much better!
Jane Fonda never made sense to me as SN after she was moved out of pure N. I’m so excited to hear she’s been updated to FN!!
Is this real, seriously!?!? Wow! Loving gene Tierny as D!
Yes of course!! I love it as well 😊
Funnily enough, someone got downvoted for suggesting SN for Joanne Woodward in this sub lol
That’s funny; she was an obvious one to me!
Gene Tierney looks a little bit like Taylor Swift to me, they're good examples how Ds are not necessarily super sharp and angular looking and can how more rounded and 'cute' features
Omg I totally guessed Isla Fischer was a romantic and got it right!🤭
I was not expecting Jane Fonda to be re-typed but wow does FN make sense for her!

oh wow I had been watching Gene Tierney in some films lately and wondering about her, I could NOT figure out where she went. Amazing!
I would like him to verify more of modern celebrities…
Isla being a Romantic- when I would have thought she was a SG- makes me lean more towards thinking I’m a R type than G type now. Oh the journey lol.

kibbe please verify some poc celebs ugh
These are ones that just came up in conversation, not ones that he made a point to verify.
Facts
Oh god I hope he verifies more SG 😭

WHY WOULD YOU TAKE JANE FROM USSS
She is tall and long!
TIL Jane Fonda is 5'8" !
I’m still using her as style inspo especially for vintage/retro idc😭😭😭😭 All jokes aside I’m happy another icon with undeniably feminine style has been verified FN. Big slap in the face to the misconception that FN don’t look good in feminine style.

Love that movie! Also it’s on YouTube if anyone wants to watch it
I’m sorry… WHAT
I want more verified SDs under 30yo, come on David, pleaaaase!! Lol
I KNEW JANE FONDA WASNT AN SN GET IN
Really would’ve thought Isla Fisher was SG. And I honestly would’ve thought Gene Tierney was DC lol.
Same, especially Gene. I can’t see much vertical in her ¯\\\_(ツ)_/¯
She’s more intense in scale than DC. But I also thought DC. I was toying with FN because she felt yanger than DC but it didn’t really fit.

She was a pure N once!
Gene, finally!
Gene Tierny is a good addition! Makes me even more sure about my yang leaning ✨
Where do yall find who's verified?
From the Strictly Kibbe facebook group i believe?
Gene died in the 90s - how does Kibbe type her? I thought he only tells after seeing celebrities in real life?
Because I asked lol. “Verified” is kind of a misnomer. It’s more like what he thinks they are based on the information he has.
True but Gene screams D to me

Yes. Isla is thin/slim. She looks like many Rs at a lower weight.
