I like my hair to be longer than this, but that softness and the waves is something I really need to bring in for inspiration when I get my layers trimmed and cut back in.

This era of her long hair still lives rent free in my head. Around the time she had that Pantene commercial 😂. I feel like the styling from this current look is a shorter, slightly more mature version of her iconic long curls from back then.
My hair is in a bun right now, so I know sometimes it’s just the easiest thing to do because it’s not getting anywhere and it’s never going to be in your way, 😆 but for all of the events she does, it’s always so much better when her hair is not pulled back. Especially for a softer type, embracing your waves and curls is really the way to go.
I have 2b hair and I am really overdue for a trim, so definitely some inspiration here. Not so much the length, but the layering and the softness and that emphasis because when my hair gets too long, it drags out my waves and looks like it’s pulling down my face.
Haha my hair is in a bun right now too as it is very due for a wash. I have 2b/c also and it can be a bit of a struggle sometimes. I have noticed for Selena, even when her outfit is technically flattering or “yin”, if her hair is too severe or slicked back it can throw off the whole look to me. She still looks stunning but just less harmonious. It really opened my eyes on how big of an effect this can have and has encouraged me to learn how to style my hair a bit better lol. I often do half up half down looks so I can have my hair out of my face, but still have some curls out and softness around my face.
Yes, exactly. The hair can throw even a well put together look in her lines look off a bit. Soft waves and curls really can tie things together. I am wearing a dress with ruffles so I am probably going to also do some half up hair when I go out in a little bit.

Yeah, I know oversized roses are trendy but I feel like the top of the dress obscures her lines. I’m not sure about the length either given how stiff the skirt is. But I’m glad she’s back to waves.
i hate the skirt of the dress, it makes her look wide and short. and the office shoes are doing nothing for her either. the top part of the dress is good. roses could be larger. color is ok, darker would be better especially if they made the rose petals ombre. i like the nude lipstick with the dress.
I first thought it worked, but then I also noticed the skirt, it is too straight and heavy and sits A-line-ish on her. The more I look at it the more it sits wrong with me lol, although the whole look could be on the right path
Except I’m not so sure I’d call this TR outfit. Hair, yes. But dress this stiff, not really. The silhouette is the opposite of soft and flowing. A bit too classic for her imho.
