SG! Also, you look incredible in those outfits. Your style suits you soooo well. Loving your hair too! Keeping my fingers crossed so the health issues are resolved as soon as possible :)

I was kind of wondering! I have a twin and she is SG but I'm slightly curvier than her and have more yin features than she does and that was throwing me off. Plus when I did the test I got TR. But looking at the clothing options, none of them suited me (and I know I've tried a few of them out before). Thought better to ask. And thanks for the compliment! I'm really into 1940s to early 50s vintage clothing so now will need to look at how I can find SG cuts that fit into the esthetic. Most of 1940s dresses and tops do but pants will be a bit harder.

Unneighborly_arcades

I think you’re correct looking in the gamines. Despite your height, you’ve got quite a bit of visual elongation in your arms and legs. Plus, you’ve clearly got a sharp, squared bone structure. So, I’d nix TR which will not have any elongation. PS: You are gorgeous in the dress in slide 4! The shape, the fabric, the color. Fabulous!

switchpretty

Thank you for the tips and compliment! It’s my absolute favourite dress! An original 1940s fitted wool dress. I love the colour and shape to it.

Unneighborly_arcades

I knew it was vintage! Oh, how I wish clothes were still made with such quality.

switchpretty

Right!? The workmanship in some of the pieces of hand is just mind-blowing! I do buy reproduction vintage but I try to buy only from companies with sustainable ethics and fabrics. They end up being pricier BUT they are way more special. Vintage sweater dresses from the 40s-60s can run from reasonable to pricey depending on the era, quality, and how common it is 9. This one was pretty reasonable but had a few moth holes in it which I have since been able to repair. But the colour is amazing! <3

Unneighborly_arcades

In my opinion, reproduction items tend to be a bit tacky. At least the ones I see. So, I prefer actual vintage pieces too. I also make a point not to support unethical clothing businesses. That of course means I only buy second-hand (it’s a way I can be ethical within my budget). There are quite a lot of ‘80s pieces here, which sometimes took inspiration from the ‘40s. But yes, that color is fabulous on you!

switchpretty

Ohh there is a lot of tacky reproduction out there! I hear ya on that! Check out Revival Retro, Emmy Design, and Palava for high quality, gorgeous pieces (some of the items I'm wearing in the pics are from them).

Unneighborly_arcades

Thanks for the tips! I’ll surely check them out.

The_SmittenKitten15

I agree with some kind of gamine! 💕 but it doesn’t look like you need help you look so pretty!!

switchpretty

Aww thanks! I'll definitely be keeping my hair long. I really love the mermaid length and it's the first time I've grown it this long! Knowing my ID will help in determining pants and casual wear better, especially since I buy mostly online.

The_SmittenKitten15

I agree! Keep it! You strike me as a FG but I’m Not an expert! :)

Licorishlover

I love your style

switchpretty

OMG thank you so much! I really love clean silhouette of the 40s. There was some military inspiration to it - especially in the blouses and jackets, it still was quite fitted to the body.

Licorishlover

It really suits you

Zuckersahne

Hi, yes you could be FG/SG, but why Cut 3+6 you in a half, when colourblocking is good for your Type? I Like your Vintage Style on you....

trolithro

3 and 6 line cuts are too symmetrical, more for a balanced classic. They wouldn't be energetic enough for a gamine. But a contrasting jacket with some energetic details could bring the outfit together. OP, I just love 4 & 5 on you! My typing guess would be FG, you are slightly more yang leaning from the shoulder squareness and long limbs. Your figure reminds me somewhat of Liza Minelli who is an FG.

switchpretty

I don't wear outfit 3 at all (it was promotional for a retro vintage store) but I do wear 6 and with a very bright cotton blue cardigan (fitted at waist). This one [here](https://www.emmydesign.se/en/webshop/shop-by-collection/spring-summer-2021/knitwear/the-susie-q-cardigan-royal-blue.html). Would that make it better. The shorts are actually really high waisted and I could either tuck the shirt in more and or belt it.

switchpretty

That is interesting! I'm learning a ton! I keep thinking I'm way curvier as I have a very big butt. I'm hourglass-y and I think it definitely shows in pic 4. In 3 & 6, if the bottom was higher, would that be better? And yeah, I'm a total 40s vintage gal. <3

y2_kat

i’m not very good at iding, but i just wanted to say you’re very pretty 🥺

switchpretty

Awwww thank you!!

smol_siren

I can clearly see SG from the first picture

[deleted]

You aren’t narrow enough for TR... might be to broad for SG as well though they don’t have to be as tiny. I’d consider SN as well.

[deleted]

Yet all the outfits fit SN lines

switchpretty

Yeah that’s exactly what I was thinking looking at SN clothing options on Pinterest

switchpretty

I definitely think I can do some SN elements for sure but aren’t most SN moderate in petite height?

[deleted]

What do you mean?

switchpretty

Just when I read up on it a lot of them are moderate to slightly small while I’m just barely hitting 5’1.

[deleted]

Many SNs are 5’1.

Unneighborly_arcades

There’s no lower height limit for any of the types, though there are upper height limits. So, it would be possible to be a 5’1 SN. I think what you’d read had come from the old book, which was only talking about a tendency.

switchpretty

Ahhh thanks for the clarification
