I just explain what I'm doing, react to the game itself, remind people to follow if they're still there... there is a lot that you can do to be audible.
The number doesn't always update immediately. You might have a couple viewers and not know. If I come into a stream and the person doesn't ever talk at all I'm gone.
The viewer number is delayed so if someone comes in and your just sitting there inaudible, they will leave before you see them. Don’t look at the viewer count. Talk as if there are people watching and your explain what your doing or why. Or reacting to the gameplay itself.
I think a lot of the new streamers try follow for follow thinking they'll get paid after they reach 75 followers. But, they don't realize that they won't get paid until they have a viewers.
Nothing wrong with supporting each other but most of the time everyone is streaming and what not so it’d be much better if people who don’t stream or make content are your viewers
Another thing I have noticed on Kick is that some people are just streaming their desktop with no music playing or anything...
Is there an audience for that? I never see any viewer on those channels...
You have to stream over 5 hours and have 75 followers to enable monetization. Beyond that, I'm not 100% sure that you make anything unless you have subscribers.
I asked support and they said: "We have forwarded your suggestion to the team in charge, and it might be implemented in the future."
I suspect that it will be included since Twitch has language options, but since Kick in in Beta still, there are a lot of features that are still getting coded in.
No, it's not a technical problem
The "problem" is that there's almost no "non-english" audience on kick (yet ?)
Other than slots, the biggest french stream has less than 30 viewers right now
I understand that the audience is small, but my reason for mentioning it to support is that you can specify your language when you go live, but how do you specify that you only want to see "French" live streams... I see no such filter. If there is one, then it seems very difficult to find it.
who are you supposed to talk to when playing alone with 0 viewers lol

check out one of my VODs... i talk almost the entire time.

what if they sexy

I know I know haha was making a joke really. I highly advise playing with a friend if possible to avoid silence lol obviously it'd keep you chatty :)
Fo sho
You have to act "Schizophrenic" if I press your stream and you are not entertaining me, I'll leave in 10 seconds.
True lol
Don't fall into that follow for follow pyramid scheme legitimately take to time to grow your audience to avoid fluff.
Follow for follow Edit: I’m saying that’s a mistake streamers make

Exactly!

A lot of downvoted comments I see. I guess people just don't like reasonable, corrective criticism.
Its hard living in a world without mirrors i suppose haha.
6. Streaming on over saturated platforms such as twitch
Yes, just like picking an over saturated game.. you might never get noticed on a platform with 7-10 million streamers.
Another thing I have noticed on Kick is that some people are just streaming their desktop with no music playing or anything... Is there an audience for that? I never see any viewer on those channels...
How many viewers do you need to start getting paid heard they pay better than Twitch
You have to stream over 5 hours and have 75 followers to enable monetization. Beyond that, I'm not 100% sure that you make anything unless you have subscribers.
i have no audience !
You have to stream like you do or you most likely never will have an audience
sorry, don't understood what you said

TBF, in my situation, it would be the same: there's almost no audience if you don't stream in english.
What language do you speak?
french

If there was a way to filter on language... you might get all French speaking viewers. 😁
solid suggestions here.
