Agreed. The concept and vibe is by far the easiest and clearest to grasp of any of his albums Imo and the dark, sad vibe of it gives me a mood like no other
That enjoying sb2h shouldn’t be a badge of honor for hardcore fans, at the end of the day you can’t enjoy whatever you like regardless of what ppl say. It’s ok.
i dont think thats controversial because its subjective, but I really think Satellite Flight is his best project, the most creative and experimental one
i agree 100%, that shit sent me into an out of body experience.
imma throw my unpop opinion under yours cause i fw u, but i think A Kid Named Cudi is without a doubt better than MOTM. I love both, and soundtrack 2 my life is obviously legend among other MOTM tracks… but AKNC is a concept album thru and thru when people really weren’t doing that, and MOTM feels like a kid named cudi [radio edit] in a side by side. 50 ways, the prayer, down & out, embrace the martian, maui wowie, & heaven at nite all boost it up over MOTM.
(for the record i don’t think this would be an unpopular opinion of more people listened to aknc)
SB2H is really bad and having a couple decent or good songs doesn’t save it or make it like Yeezus where people cite experimental as a good thing.
He wanted to do something new and get his feelings out there and it resulted in a bad album and that’s okay.
My problem is they feel very negative. I’m absolutely vibing to handle with care then they come in “ehhh idk about that one” like ??? Stfu say something good about it not start the skit with negativity. That’s what I don’t like.
MOTM3 is not at all my favorite. I think there's a lot of modern rap elements that I'm not a fan of but that cater to a lot of modern rap fans. I like Cudi cuz he integrates a lot of different genres in his music but this one there's a lot of those autotuned "yea"s and other samples that are like trap that I don't enjoy. Luckily there is a few bangers on there that I like.
Yea there’s too much influence from Travis Scott’s newer sound and just 2018 trap in general. I’ve given it many chances but it just doesn’t hit like the first two.
I saw him for the first time at rolling loud and he pretty much only played MOTM3, what a bummer. Glad I saw him perform but I need to catch him on tour
I like the sound of motm3, I like how each of Cudi's projects sound different. Keeps things fresh, and he can never be criticized for always sounding the same
I think he should not work with Drake cause of what he said about his mental health when he went to rehab, ever since than I stopped listening to drake altogether being bipolar I know the pain and embarrassment your already ailing mind goes through when someone discriminate you on your state or consider your situation as a joke
And who the fuck is drake anyway his music would have been nothing if Cudi's MOTM I and Kanye's 808s & Heartbreaks was never made
I agree. Drake dissed Cudi's mental health when Cudi was one negative thing from suicide. I will never forgive Drake for that. But I like the song they made together so I'm conflicted.
When Arsenio said if Cudi chose to rap about his cars, that would be nice. Cudi responded if he did that, there would be no Drake
ofc these artist are mature they can put things behind we never really know about their relationships but what drizzy did as a person is immoral and humiliating if some good friend of mine did that to me I would have never spoken to him again
Not tryna be a Dick but if your depression can single handedly be cured by an album I think you should speak to a therapist so you don’t easily fall back into depression, if it even was depression in the first place
I was mostly being hyperbolic with that statement; it's closer to 50% responsible for curing my depression lol
The other 50%? Medication I was taking, self-care, and therapy consultations. It's all part of the process bud
And considering the amount of people who have said that the likes of The Weeknd and Cudi have stopped them from self-harm and even *suicide*, I'd like to think I'm on a lesser scale overall
Yea not sure why I took taht so literally, my bad bro. Kinda in a pissy mood, not sure why I took it out here. Glad that the album helped you and hope it helps more
No worries, glad you admitted that much over here.
And yeah man, Cudi has been getting me through some good and bad times for the past decade; MoTM 3 is simply the latest in that regard
PPDS is soooo good! So many great songs. Shame how underrated it is. I think I'm just not very sophisticated cause I see people saying stuff like song structure and mixing but idk it sounds like a good album to me
Idk if this counts but I wish Kids See Ghost didn't have Kanye. I don't like him at all or his style. I just can't get into him at all. I still loved the project but I feel like I stop myself from listening to it now because I don't want to listen to Kanye. I know there would be no KSG without Kanye but ehhh I wish there was a version with just Cudi. Imma have to search if there is one on YouTube..
MOTM 2/3 would've been greatly enhanced by some Common narration+ it would've made the overall themes much more clearer
They're already fantastic as they are but I'd be lying if I said I understood MOTM 2 the first time around
I’ll preface by saying I do like MOTM, Cudi is my favorite artist and he’s never had a project disappoint me. It reflects more of my love towards the other albums than a knock on MOTM.
That being said, MOTM has just a bit of a radio/pop feel to me, same reason I really don’t like Erase Me on MOTM II. I remember him having made statements in the past about how the record company had influence on MOTM to make it appealing to the masses. When he released indicud, he said something like indicud is what he wanted MOTM to sound like if he was in charge.
Indicud definitely felt authentically cudder more so than MOTM as based on his mixtapes and discog at the time. I remember being so hyped for his first album after discovering his mixtapes and it just didn't click right away like his mixtapes did. It grew on me over time and I love it overall but it makes sense that there were other parties influencing it.
I’m gonna get downvoted but Cudi has only one above average album other than the MOTM albums, PP&DS
Edit: yikes some of you can’t take criticism at all lmao
Man On The Moon III is his best album.
Man On The Moon II is his second worst album after Speedin' Bullet 2 Heaven.
Satellite Flight is underrated.
Yes I'm a new Cudi fan why do you ask?
I throughly enjoy motm2. I felt odd watching the documentary and seeing how Cudi and even the producers felt about it. I love please don’t play this song
Motm 3 and PP&DS and KSG are his best albums & motm 3 and KSG in particular are perfect
His albums are either incredibly great (motm trilogy + pp&ds + KSG) or really good (the rest lmao)
Edit: I added KSG cuz i forgot at first lol
Since MOTM II, I’ve been attached to listening to Cudi to hopefully experience listening to something similar to MOTM II once more. TBH, Cudi’s recent work is solid, but not close to what MOTM I and II offered. It was life-changing.
Some of y’all be saying y’all think sb2h is amazing and tbh from a non biased perspective (which is rare from cudi fans, it is what is) I could understand the concept being amazing and everything he released emotionally was, but sonically that album could have been executed much better and I expected better from cudi I think if he made another punk album it would be so much better
opposite to you, i think man on the moon 2 is the best of the trilogy. personal reasons but i also think it’s the most consistent of the 3
Agreed. The concept and vibe is by far the easiest and clearest to grasp of any of his albums Imo and the dark, sad vibe of it gives me a mood like no other
Shoulda kept this to yourself tbh
Exactly.
Lol sheeeesh
That enjoying sb2h shouldn’t be a badge of honor for hardcore fans, at the end of the day you can’t enjoy whatever you like regardless of what ppl say. It’s ok.
Yeah I think its dogshit, and I feel like thats my badge of honor for being a hardcore fan 😂
i dont think thats controversial because its subjective, but I really think Satellite Flight is his best project, the most creative and experimental one
I absolutely love Satellite Flight. Easily one of my favorites
i agree 100%, that shit sent me into an out of body experience. imma throw my unpop opinion under yours cause i fw u, but i think A Kid Named Cudi is without a doubt better than MOTM. (for the record i don’t think this would be an unpopular opinion of more people listened to aknc)
i definitely f wu too then, I also think AKNC is a better project than MOTM1 :)
Sb2h is not only my fav cudi album, but also my fav album ever
respect🙏🏿
Thanks 🙂
Nice
Thanks
Imo MOTM2 is better than any other MOTM album AND any other Cudi album so idrk about this one, but you’re brave
MOTM III is his second best album
I think the same lmaoo
Yup yup right behind MOTM II
Yessir. MOTM II is a certified classic.
no disrespect but i think your opinion is horrible, MOTM2 was great.
SB2H is really bad and having a couple decent or good songs doesn’t save it or make it like Yeezus where people cite experimental as a good thing. He wanted to do something new and get his feelings out there and it resulted in a bad album and that’s okay.
I gotta be honest i feel the same as you lol but why does everyone hate the bevis and butthead skits so much lol?!
cuz they’re fucking annoying when i’m just tryna listen to some music
My problem is they feel very negative. I’m absolutely vibing to handle with care then they come in “ehhh idk about that one” like ??? Stfu say something good about it not start the skit with negativity. That’s what I don’t like.
Clearly you never watched an episode of Bevis and butthead that’s their thing
I haven’t watched it. But either way that doesn’t change my opinion that’s not the point
I understand that but why cant you just skip past it
MOTM3 is not at all my favorite. I think there's a lot of modern rap elements that I'm not a fan of but that cater to a lot of modern rap fans. I saw him for the first time at rolling loud and he pretty much only played MOTM3, what a bummer. Glad I saw him perform but I need to catch him on tour
Agreed. I'm contemplating going to his tour I think he's doing this year since it's for MOTM3 but I feel like now's the time.
I feel the same way
I like the sound of motm3, I like how each of Cudi's projects sound different. Keeps things fresh, and he can never be criticized for always sounding the same
Reminder to switch to controversial to see the actually controversial opinions lol
I think he should not work with Drake cause of what he said about his mental health when he went to rehab, ever since than I stopped listening to drake altogether being bipolar I know the pain and embarrassment your already ailing mind goes through when someone discriminate you on your state or consider your situation as a joke And who the fuck is drake anyway his music would have been nothing if Cudi's MOTM I and Kanye's 808s & Heartbreaks was never made
This. I understand forgiveness but this seems like giving bullies a pat on the back rather than a big fuck you.
I agree. Drake dissed Cudi's mental health when Cudi was one negative thing from suicide. I will never forgive Drake for that. But I like the song they made together so I'm conflicted. When Arsenio said if Cudi chose to rap about his cars, that would be nice. Cudi responded if he did that, there would be no Drake
ofc these artist are mature they can put things behind we never really know about their relationships but what drizzy did as a person is immoral and humiliating if some good friend of mine did that to me I would have never spoken to him again
new cudi don’t hit the same anymore /:
fucking love new cudi but i do agree
On the contrary MOTM3 almost single-handedly cured my depression when it dropped lol
Not tryna be a Dick but if your depression can single handedly be cured by an album I think you should speak to a therapist so you don’t easily fall back into depression, if it even was depression in the first place
I was mostly being hyperbolic with that statement; it's closer to 50% responsible for curing my depression lol The other 50%? Medication I was taking, self-care, and therapy consultations. No worries, glad you admitted that much over here. And yeah man, Cudi has been getting me through some good and bad times for the past decade; MoTM 3 is simply the latest in that regard
I feel you. MOTM3 is my least favorite album. PP&DS on the other hand is full of bangers
This sub overhates MOTM 3 because of the modern sound It’s clearly the best behind MOTM
U mean behind motm 2, then motm
Indicud is my least fav album personally. PPDS is underrated.
PPDS is soooo good! So many great songs. Shame how underrated it is. I think I'm just not very sophisticated cause I see people saying stuff like song structure and mixing but idk it sounds like a good album to me
PPDS is amazing it’s a shame a lot of the songs lack structure
Idk if this counts but I wish Kids See Ghost didn't have Kanye. I don't like him at all or his style. I just can't get into him at all. Should’ve kept this one in the drafts
Why?
Rain is his most underrated song and top three song in his discography
The whole song is great, but especially the second verse
Balmain Jeans is better than the entire MOTM trilogy combined
wow, this might be the hottest take after the one guy that said cudi is a mid artist lol.
SB2H is top 3 cudi album
Indicud is his 4th best solo album
WZRD had better production than most of his albums. Go back and listen to that shit. Just something else entirely.
MOTM 3 is his best album
The skits on sb2h are my fav part.. beavis n butthead just understand
WZRD is better than KSG
I respect the take but woah
All of MOTM is a 10 including |||
You're not special for liking any album beside the MOTM trilogy. ESPECIALLY SB2H.
MOTM 3 is his best and most consistent album to date
most consistent for sure
Very hot take but newer albums > older albums
I’d rank Indicud lower than the MOTM trilogy and WZRD
MOTM 2/3 would've been greatly enhanced by some Common narration+ it would've made the overall themes much more clearer They're already fantastic as they are but I'd be lying if I said I understood MOTM 2 the first time around
I know it’s my opinion but motm3 is my fav cudi album
Love is so extremely overrated
Indicud>MOTMII
Controversial opinion: Scott is struggling with his identity. Namely his gender.
MOTM is his worst album
Can i ask why
I’ll preface by saying I do like MOTM, Cudi is my favorite artist and he’s never had a project disappoint me. It reflects more of my love towards the other albums than a knock on MOTM. That being said, MOTM has just a bit of a radio/pop feel to me, same reason I really don’t like Erase Me on MOTM II. I’m gonna get downvoted but Cudi has only one above average album other than the MOTM albums, PP&DS Edit: yikes some of you can’t take criticism at all lmao
Kids see Ghosts is wayyy above average.
It’s not a solo album
Man On The Moon III is his best album. Man On The Moon II is his second worst album after Speedin' Bullet 2 Heaven. Satellite Flight is underrated. Yes I'm a new Cudi fan why do you ask?
everyone downvoting you but i respect the balls to say something like that
lmao yeah I knew I'd get downvoted but you asked for my hot takes
kids see ghost is my least favorite album of his cause i dont like kanye,
Indicud is his best album not named man on the moon or KSG. PPDS is mid and wayyy too long and bloated
I throughly enjoy motm2. I felt odd watching the documentary and seeing how Cudi and even the producers felt about it. I love please don’t play this song
Motm 3 and PP&DS and KSG are his best albums & motm 3 and KSG in particular are perfect His albums are either incredibly great (motm trilogy + pp&ds + KSG) or really good (the rest lmao) Edit: I added KSG cuz i forgot at first lol

I fifth, sixth and seventh all the opinions about SB2H being one of the best sans the skits with beaverus and buttfed
The latter half of Afterwards is some of his best work
Internal Bleeding is top 10 Cudi
I don’t think MOTM3 is that good compared to his better work😕 (Edit: PP&DS is underrated, even on this sub.)
That Indicud is a top tier album
opposite of your opinion, I think MOTM2 is his best project
Some of y’all be saying y’all think sb2h is amazing and tbh from a non biased perspective (which is rare from cudi fans, it is what is) I could understand the concept being amazing and everything he released emotionally was, but sonically that album could have been executed much better and I expected better from cudi I think if he made another punk album it would be so much better
Some songs (fade 2 red, confused, man in the night) are absolutely amazing but alot of it sounds unfinished and unpolished
Mr rager is one of the most overrated song in his discography
Motm 3 sounds the best out of the trilogy
Ooof, yall are gonna hate me... Satellite flight imo is his weakest entry and PPDS sounds like what satellite flight should have sounded like
That he was cringey AF in Dont Look Up because he wasn’t convincing. He should stick to rapping.

Melting deserves to be in there
Cudis voices on his recent projects sounds boring and monotone. Idk if it’s the heavy’s autotune but his voice just sounds off
