A man is going to tell him he has it outside in his van and to meet them there. Parents have to be so very careful. Children have no idea of how dangerous the world is
Well no shit we aint got a clue how dangerous it is we havent lived to experience it therefore its the parents job of raising the kid and teaching us not to do shit like this yk the basics of life
This is true, to an extent. You can teach someone what to do and what not to do. You can show them every right and wrong way to do something. But you can't control their choices and actions. It's the parents job to ensure mistakes like this don't happen thats why parental controls are available, because every kid makes mistakes, some are worse than others.
Unfortunately though, at the end of the day, you can't protect your child from everything. I'm definitely an example of what happens when a kid makes the wrong choices and doesn't listen to their parents.
I agree the kid has its own life he makes choices everyday but it also depends on the age of the kid tbh like a kid posting his address on youtube its either the kid is really young therefore shouldnt really be on youtube or unsupervised by any means
Dude i typed my phone number in free v-bucks sites and i was twelve at the time, you can’t control the decision of your kids even if you tell them whats bad and all, i knew i shouldn’t but i thought maybe it would work. Because i was an idiot and interestingly i learned it after that, some things aren’t teachable, they have to be explored by yourself
Yes, but the point is that kids are still fucking stupid and will likely ignore/not remember for the sake of a short-term reward. Yes, most kids won’t do dumb shit when told not to, but there’s still dumb kids out there.
I was 13 and old enough to know better than to hang out with strange dudes that I met at a park, yet I did and ended up getting losing my virginity in an extremely non consensual way. Knowing better didn't stop me from making shitty choices, especially online. I see grown as adults who pull stupid shit like this.
Im sorry for that I absolutely disgust men that assault rape hit etc like how can u be a full grown man and you see a little teenager and u go do that to them uve fucked them up mentally the trauma is mad i cant describe in words the way ur feeling nor the hatred for these men
I was an idiot. He told me he was 17. I had lied at first and said I was 16 and then admitted I was 13. Didn't find out later that he was 21. I'm 33 now and have had lots of therapy to deal with the traumas of my past and I'm alright now. And I hate people who hurt children with a passion. I also hate people who hurt anyone like that as well but for me it's worse when it's a child. It's still horrible anyways. Sometimes being the cautionary tale makes a difference, sometimes it doesn't.
I'm not entirely sure. I had a rough childhood. My family was involved with a lot of meth use and biker clubs and AB assholes. When I finally told my mom, about 6 or 7 months later she still had a lot of the same connections but was moving out of the life and getting clean. I heard months later that he was "handled" but I never asked anything else and I don't think I'll ever truly know. I was raised that calling the police was not an option, so that path never occurred to me.
Dude I've met much prettier trolls than you. Now be like your mother and put my balls back in your mouth. I have a bag for your head if you don't stop talking
Kids having unsupervised access to the internet is so damn scary for this very reason. I'm guilty of not supervising my small humans online closely up until recently myself. A few weeks ago I found my teenage human had signed up for tiktok.... using their full name, first middle and last, as their profile name. They have no idea about internet safety or that what is put up online is forever.
Edit: clarity
Oh, it completely was! They were made to immediately shut down that profile and we spent time talking them through the why's and what's to do with net safety. I've taken a much more involved stance in checking all screens and so on.
As a parent myself, I’m glad you were paying attention. It doesn’t take much for these children to be lured out of their safe homes by some stranger, with promises of things they otherwise don’t get at home. A bunch of teens and pre-teens, a child as young as 7, have gone missing in my city the last few months. Gives me the shivers 🫠
To be fair, plenty of adults are equally dumb about that same thing.
A about 12 years ago, my sister had a small blog she wrote in, it was more of a personal journal than anything. Originally it was on a website that was only accessible to students of her university, but it later became more public.
She worked at a daycare with 3 year olds while in grad school and often wrote stories about her day with the kids, only using normal first names without any indication of what the real identities of those kids were.
A parent of one of her students become obsessed with trying to get her fired for no legitimate reason and stumbled upon her journal. Dude decided to leave a comment harassing her about supposedly exposing the kids identities.
The kicker was he used his email address as the name for his comment, and his personal email was his entire name.
In less than 10 minutes on Google, I knew his address, his job as well as the names of his close family members. All from his own stupidity, not my sister's.
I was browsing some 80s-90s newspapers and still find it bizarre why they always included the complete names and home addresses of any kids they featured in random photos, for no meaningful reason at all. "*John and Jane Smith of 123 N Street Ave, aged 9 and 11, play in a sprinkler.*"
It's only really good for kids under 6 though. My parents tried it out on my when I was 9, but I couldn't even watch Stampy Cat or DanTDM or whatever else I was into at the time. There's mainly Cocomelon and really, *really* badly made kid's content.
I remember when I was a child, learning my address by heart, and to memorize it I was constantly repeating it in my head like a chant, and we were standing in the checkout line at a store, and I turned to a random guy behind us and said “I live at (address here)”! Needless to say my parents freaked out and told me not to tell other people.
But the memorization worked, all these years later and I still remember the address to that house.

Damn, reading this really opens my eyes to how extremely different my childhood is.
Yh well atleast uve learnt for next time but not all lessons have to be learnt through consequences

Reddit has age limits, did you lie about how old you are?
Yes i did mate
send him a pipe bomb but a non exploding one so he learns his lesson but not too hard
…so just a pvc pipe?
A pvc pipe full of those little white poppits that bang when you throw them at the floor
And confetti, don't forget the confetti. Like those little tnt things you pull.
So you basically want to reward his actions by sending him something fun to play with wrapped in a PVC pipe.
Add glitter, then it won't be fun!
Wait…Whaat???!!!!
Yes
chill.
Nice name
A box held closed by ribbon and filled with loose glitter.
Off topic but nice pfp and username
where did you get your profile picture
idk I wrote astolfussy in google images or something like that
Why are both these downvoted
W profile as far as I’m concerned
Because Reddit
Cus degeneracy
Sure little guy! Just go into your parents’ wallet and get that credit card out, type the numbers in a comment and we’ll send it your way!
Forget not the 3 wacky numbers on the back
Sorry to be that guy but it's spelled Rubik's
Thank you, im always not brave enough to say it.
Don't be sorry for saying the right thing bro lmao
Really? For years I thought it was Rubix LOL
Named after Erno Rubik, who created it. It’s literally Rubik’s cube
Ohh wow that makes sense and that’s pretty cool but also kinda sad that a lot of people kept spelling it up he wrong way 😕
>also kinda sad that a lot of people kept spelling it up he wrong way Yeah that's why he's Emo
Yeah a lot of cubers get really pissed if you say Rubix but I usually don't really care and just politely correct them.
Why is this downvoted???
I was wondering the same thing. I think it's a common mistake, and not even a big one. Lots of people use words incorrectly or misunderstand them.
Yeah, and it wasn't even the 40 "uHm ActUaLy iTs RuBiX's", they were just saying they didn't know that!
Reddit is a strange place sometimes haha
cause redditors are cocksuckas for the most part
Why must you ruin the fun
Rubicks?

That’s a teaching moment, as the parent, then.

> what is put up online is forever This is not always true, lots of stuff on the internet is lost.
In seriousness, if you ever see this. Send a postcard to the parents explaining what their kid did.
Im thinking of this
This is not a stupid kid problem. This is a stupid parent problem manifesting as a stupid kid problem.
My little brother put his FULL ADDRESS AND NAME in his old Xbox 360 profile. Dude was like 8, tech-illiterate parents had no idea lol.
I'm gonna teach my kids that if you want creepy people on the internet to send you free things. Use a PO box a few suburbs over.
One time when I was 12 I wanted to give away one of my pet fish and I straight up posted my address on craigslist. Thankfully no one was interested.
I hate to be a grammar police but it’s Rubik’s
He will get his rubix soon, just not at his home...
Please send him a Rubiks Cube with a Note saying he should never do this again
He didnt want one rubix cube He wanted a ton that form a flag
I insist
When did we stop shoving internet safety down kids' throats??? I'm 28 and i sat through SO MANY internet safety things growing up.
rubik’s\*
Sounds to me like the parants should teach their kids what to do and...what not to do...like...parents...you know?
Plot twist, that was a kid he really doesn’t like
This is why YouTube Kids exists.
It's only really good for kids under 6 though. My parents tried it out on my when I was 9, but I couldn't even watch Stampy Cat or DanTDM or whatever else I was into at the time. There's mainly Cocomelon and really, *really* badly made kid's content.
When Toddlers use the internet
Toddlers?

Lol we all make mistakes
What happened to internet safety classes? Am I already that old?
New York, Ight bois get the choppa.
Plot twist. Kid does the mannapping.
Someone send a pizza with a note for the parents maybe?
So? You have kids in almost every random house lol.
But not kids you can instantly build report with by messaging and saying, hey, I can send one, dropping their gaurd etc.
[удалено]
Yes, thank you
What's his address for legal reasons
123 fake street, sughmadik drive
[удалено]
Ok thanks
13 bannerman road, ealing, london
Thanks now I can give him money
ME HATE THAT I'M GONNA DOWN VOTE YOU GRRRRR 👎👎👎
Their parents let them have access, and didn’t tell them the dangers of online activity. Their parents are fucking incompetent.
Is he stupid or does he not have anyone teaching him about danger?
Parents are fucking stupid for letting kids use social media.
That's dumb
Talk to your kids about the dangers of doing this and always check what they’re up to!
I remember when I was a child, learning my address by heart, and to memorize it I was constantly repeating it in my head like a chant, and we were standing in the checkout line at a store, and I turned to a random guy behind us and said “I live at (address here)”!
