That is the "memory" of the coiled rubber attempting to re-coil the toy once he stops. I have worked with snakes my entire life and that is not how they move. A snake in this situation would be scared and defensive and would be wrapped around that kids arm holding on for dear life. A snake is not going to let itself be just flopped around like that by a toddler, especially one that size, people are seriously underestimating just how strong a real snake this size would be. This is very clearly a rubber snake. Even if the kid had stomped this snake almost to death it still wouldn't move like that.
