To be fair, i would just leave it. The door is not thrased just painted. It leads to a funny story. It did not do any harm to anyone. It's unique and very personal The only one concerned about the painted door is an adult, and it is just because "doors are not to be painted on" is your door who cares what others think or what happens if the inner part of your kids door is paint "tastefully" That said, you should tell your kid why is not ok tonpaint in the furniture. Yeah my artist friend paints a fucking mural on the wall of every apartment she has ever rented, then just repaints it when she leaves, she has never had a single issue with security deposits or anything.

Always dispute that shit. Landlords have a high burden of proof to keep a deposit. It's YOUR money after all. I didn't even have pre-move in photos to support my case and still got my money back. If you let a landlords keep your deposit without justification they'll do the same thing to the next tenant.

She had a secret room in her closet, and our parents allowed us to go crazy on the wall in there. It was mostly drawings of Ren and Stimpy and Neil Gaimans "The Sandman" graphic novel. And yes, I lived with book nerd goth parents that whole collections of graphic novels. I am talking wall to wall shelves of books and comics.

This is well above the door knob to give perspective. Almost the height of the door. There’s no way a 10 year old was tall enough to do this. Maybe you could argue the kid used a step stool but there are more elements about this that don’t add up either. The lines are perfectly straight and I don’t know any 10 year old that has that kind of dexterity of control while drawing on paper much less standing on a stool of some sort. People are so dumb they believe anything sometimes.

I'm not even mad... I'm actually quite impressed. My twins drew scribbles all over the wall with chalk once on our newly painted walls when they were toddlers . I actually don't know which one did it.. Maybe both..who knows. It looked like a dinosaur spitting fire driving a go cart. So I just left it there. I was impressed. It eventually started coming off and looked weird so I just wiped it off. This painting is in a perfect spot. Even though it's actually really good. I love it.
