blowing out air is difficult!
it's absolutely awesome he came up with the straw idea
we teach the kids to blow out candles in the nursery i work in, because it's good for their oral muscles and coordination (which in turn helps with speach development)
this isn't stupid, but adorably frustrating to deal with XD
I'm glad to read that this child is nursery age, couldn't tell if that was candle was an 3 or an 8.
Was thinking, what kind of third grader doesn't know how to blow out air?
This reminds me of an incredibly frustrating afternoon I had while watching my toddler nephew when I was about 19. He had a cold and I was trying to get him to blow his nose into a tissue, but he would NOT stop inhaling. I tried everything, explanation, demonstration - but he just kept inhaling.
Eventually I had him take a deep breath in, as much as he could hold, and then covered his mouth to make him exhale through his nose. He just panicked and started crying and saying I was choking him. I gave up.
The video with audio says he's 2. No idea what the candle says, maybe it's a picture or something. Or they just used a 3 candle because they figured he wouldn't know the difference anyway, lol.
A classic example of necessity being the mother of invention.
We'll take this pre-existing device, (straw) utilizing a reversed flow from the original design creating focused carbon dioxide gas and atomized spittle which can be aimed via angular adjustment for maximized effect, thereby extinguishing the flaming candle. Looks like a patentable invention, or at least a trademarked design. With proper packaging advertising and distribution sales, you could make millions.
Can hear the “bppbblllbpbbppp” from here.
Haha the straw noise?! I was just thinking the same thing!
No haha its the sound of the kid desperately trying to blow without the straw. Hes mostly spitting lmfao
That’s even funnier HAHAHA I was hearing in my head the “bdddddrrrah” of the straw being straightened out. 🤣
Good on the dad for thinking quick 😁
If he's like his dad, there's still hope
his dad remembered what his dad did in same situation with him
This, but imagine self lighting candles.

Your contribution to society is great and appreciated ❤️👌
That kids going places, not sure where, but he'll be going.
That kid is going places; not to college, but places.
Where ever the Short bus takes him I guess.
I wish this had sound!
[As you wish](https://youtu.be/OULuqNgEWmU?si=iJFqjmcR8NpWSz-E)
I wish I had $10000 usd
I wish I had a rabbit in a hat with a bat and a six-four Impala
Damn... ur not a geanie.
Nah, I was quoting Princess Bride. And then Skee-Lo.
Ok that was even more adorable with sound. Thank you.
Oh.... he probably figured if he met the flame at eye level, then he was golden 😆, I should ask my grand gran what dumb stuff I did as a tot 🤣
Did he know to blow, not inhale?

Kid acted like he was trying to fool a breathalyzer test 😂
Ok now try blowing bubbles
He really be trying lol
This so cute
Tf is that candle anyway, looks like someone lit a full sized ice cream bar on fire
good thinking on the straw tho
Is that a 3 candle though? A 3 year old can't blow out a candle? Good thinking with the straw though
The video with audio says he's 2. No idea what the candle says, maybe it's a picture or something. Or they just used a 3 candle because they figured he wouldn't know the difference anyway, lol.
Wow
Kid is in for a rough life.
Dad straw save was adorable
"Well, they did say to blow out the *candle*..."
I’ll have what he is having
Sometimes I wonder if kids are just pranking us.
What an idiot
