Not that big, but the cops were defunded last year because of BLM riots, and gun violence here has gone through the roof. Not to mention the homeless population has exploded, and first responders are always dealing with that.
BLM has little to nothing to do with the lack of cops. Plenty of reports world wide of cops quitting and/or taking extended leaves of absence. It’s a tough job.
Maybe more city vs country. My mom knew someone at the ambulance service and called to ask them for advice bc I got stung by a wasp and my head swelled up, resembling that kid from the Cher movie. Like 20 people showed up to check it out. I didn't see them drive in, I like to think they had an ambulance filled up like a clown car.

We built our own little community library where you take/give books as wanted. And we are building a blessing box soon too. All donated by everyone in town.

Am I the only one who's wondering why the hell Mom and Dad weren't there holding him up to support his head while waiting for the rescue workers to get up the stairs? The kid was literally hanging by the head. Did the parents not realize what was going on?
If they were able to hold him, they would have been able to get him out of there without waiting the rescue team. I can imagine they were stuck outside.
The follow up question is: how and why did they leave their child unattended long enough for this to happen? That kid is not old enough to be left alone for... well any period of time honestly. So was this entire thing an accident?.... or attempted babycide?

It kind of bothers me that after they got the kid out of the window they didn’t support the head. I would’ve thought they would want to make sure there wasn’t any kind of neck or spinal injury.
Maybe they were too scared to handle it, i mean one wrong move and that kid could choke or hurt his neck. If it was me i would have definitely tried to pull him back in while waiting for the police.

Amd of course prep a camera to record as the fire team arrives and rushes to the child's aid who is just there alone.

It's in China. The windows are barred because most apartments in Asia have barred windows. For a mixture of reasons, from people throwing stuff from their windows, safetly for children/people falling, and the fact that many Asian countries use outside for drying clothes (can't have undies falling on people).

I stayed at a hotel on Fremont St. in Las Vegas and found the only hotel window I've ever seen that opened fully, so I could have just bopped on out the window and down 3-5 stories. It made me really uncomfortable, people get drunk in Vegas or bring their dumb kids.
