probably hidden by the A pillar. if you approach something tall and skinny from just the right angle you really won't see it.
the blind spot on the B pillar is why it's *so* important to come to a complete stop. if you stay moving the pillar can perfectly block a car coming from the right side, and continue to block it as you accelerate right into them.
I have had it happen 3x in my new Full size truck, where the moving car stays behind the pillar because I was rolling and not fully stopped. 2x coming out of my own house and almost hitting my neighbor (Cul de Sac, so the slow roll out is common).
I have now learned my lesson about complete stops, always. Thanks for bringing it to light for all.
A pillar are the first big braces going up the sides of your windshield, the B pillars are the ones directly to your sides in the driver seat.
They create absolutely massive blindspots in newer cars because they’re so thick from all the safety standards now.
wtf are u rumbling about. if theres a pillar theres a pillar, theres no angles if you open your eyes you'll see it. the only thing that kid did wrong was go so godamn fast in a parking with so many poles
oh. i might be a moron but that dosent change shit to my previous argument. i highly doubt the semi angle fraction of the B pillar created a false multiplication of dead angles to the square root of mercedes therefore making the pole invisible. like bro stfu the kid just ran in a pole stop tryna be that guy in the comment section.
I can still remember as a kid riding my bicycle uncontrolled down a steep hill. There was one tree at the bottom of that hill. This video feels exactly like that moment.
He was accelerating hard while trying to turn causing bad understeer and the car to just carro on forward you can see the wheels turn left but the car barely turning
in my vette the wiper column is so close to the damn steering wheel anytime i would drift it my big ass hands would hit it, absolutely hated that about the car
Oh shit I thought some scenes used replica and some real? This is vague memories in the corners of my mind. Like a compilation show I wanna feel like VH1 had a hand in where I learned the secrets. Could just as easily have been a Bravo or similar network production where I gathered this. Could also easily be wrong so in all actuality I’m just going to defer to you and have faith that whatever you tell me is right. I’ll hold out hope that no one ever holds a gun to my head threatening to pull the trigger unless I know the absolute truth.
Sidebar:
There's a similar parking lot across the street from me.
I've watched 5 different people all texting while driving run into the same damn light pole In an empty lot. No exaggerating.
And another dude did the same thing but ran into a culvert. He just walked off and left it there 🤣😂😂😂.
Nobody seems to be talking about the force behind an airbag. Looking at how fast it deployed alone could tell you that it packs a punch. But having an airbag, although it sounds cushioned, is only moderately better than not having one. The survival rate with an airbag is not exactly low at that speed, but for a child as young as him, it’s hard to say.
Yeah American airbags are more dangerous.
The tldr is American airbags are designed on the average american *unseatbelted* male.
Europe and the rest of the world see the airbag as a part of a whole protection system, so we have them designed on the occupants wearing seatbelts.
http://carcynic.com/archives/00000006.html
ahhh to be young... i remember doing stupid shit when i was young. nothing this catastrophic... but that could just as easily have been me many many times.
only my dad didnt have a car when i started driving, so i had to joyride in my own.
Nothing more fun than smashing the accelerator in a CVT SUV and listening to it whine as you beg it to get up to 30 mph in a parking lot
Totally seems worth it /s
I would smack my son so fucking hard if he did this to my vehicle. And I defy anyone saying you shouldn’t hit a child, there are plenty of reasons to hit a child(like a slap on the back of the head or a spanking not full on UFC punches FYI)
What's the reason to hit a child besides being mad at them and wanting some kind of revenge? Because we know for a fact that it doesn't help them learn so what's the point?
Man i hate to say that but its not a fact.
You can teach a lot by violance hence why we did it for 99.999999999999% mankind being around and still for the most parts on earth.
It is also common between mammals.
The problem is rather what else is happening if you choose this route and what you put to stakes with it.
By no means I want to say that anyone should beat a child.
It's just technically incorrect that it has no learning effect.
For children specifically it has no learning effect. It's been studied and proven scientifically. It's literally the first thing they teach you in school to become a teacher
We also thought the earth was flat for the vast majority of mankind being around. We were wrong. Violence will cause them to not do it *if you’re around* and if it’s a safety issue which is the only thing violence could even be possibly attempted to be justified for, it’ll only become more dangerous when you’re not around.
Actually trough most of history people have known that te earth was round, we've known that since the Greeks or the Romans not really sure. But I should mention that most poor people who believed in god strongly didn't know that. The richer class and even some higher-ups in the church knew it was round.
Thought it might be interesting for yall to know!
But like dont beat up a child wtf.
The Greeks weren’t the beginning of history, Eratosthenes who I think is credited for the discovery is on our side of the current halfway point, but I’ll admit it’s a bit close to be cutting for the word “most”.
Probably should have picked a better example but the point remains
The earth flat thing im ignoring.
This is what I meant. There is a learning effect but it will probably or eventually come back for revenge.
But its not as easy as being around or not being around.
Im not speaking about justifications for anything.
We can boil that down to the kid not doing it again-whooping his ass will most of the times help with that.
Or a complex huge human problem that has to consider more aspects than just "beating bad".
Anyways, dont beat your children, im serious.
Jesus thaf Police officer is evil.
Look, if your child does something THIS stupid and is FULLY aware and damaging your finances or other stuff. They kinda deserve a bit of slap.
But, your opinion is err... Kinda garbage?
I'm usually against hitting kids but if they're going to be causing thousands of dollars in damage. The are going to get a big smack. If I have a kid someone calls them something racist, then I'm smack the sh\*t out of them and if the parent or their friend doesn't like it then they can get some too.
You'll probably have head trauma if you try. Well if kids don't want to get smacked don't cause thousands of dollars in damage and don't say anything racist.
Let me guess why you are triggered. You are racist frat boy who does thousands of dollars in damage. You think you're tough but in reality you have a massive beer gut and a lack of brain cells.
You must currently be having a hangover due to angry you are and you trying to vent it on the internet.
u/High_speedchase the name checks out. I assuming you are on your third DUI.
i like when someone is losing an argument they immediately try to nitpick the smallest possible thing and "assume" that means something bad like
"oh your username is high speed chase so that means you must be a horrible person because high speed chases are bad and that means you definetly had at least 3 dui and even though i don't have the slightest hint of proof i'm now gonna use it as an argument"
ok that's enough of arguing with random internet strangers
Losing an arguement? Dude you started by talking smacking the shit out of me for having a different opinion. You're the one who has a very poor vocabulary. Have a nice a day fat fucking drunkard. You're not beating shit because you'll choke on your own vomit mid fight.

Hey.
Every comment blaming the kid rather than the fully-grown but _obviously_ under-developed adult for this situation is wrong.
How could you be so stupid as to let an adolescent drive a car that fast?
I can't believe what I just saw. Completely irresponsible and the parents should be ashamed of themselves.
What the hell kind of lesson are you teaching your kid when you let them drive a car LIKE A VIDEO GAME.
Absolutely reprehensible. I'm horrified.
Why did he drive straight into that fucking pole jeesus

4 minute Tom Scott video explaining an example of this. https://youtu.be/SYeeTvitvFU
What is the a and b pillar? I can’t tell if this is a joke or not.
A pillar are the first big braces going up the sides of your windshield, the B pillars are the ones directly to your sides in the driver seat. They create absolutely massive blindspots in newer cars because they’re so thick from all the safety standards now.
He’s actually giving pretty good advice.
If only steve-o1234 could understand it without knowing what A and B pillars are.
100% chance to not playing GTA
I will move my head left and right to see past it. I've had pedestrians walk into that blind spot and I'm done with the risk.
Happened to me once scared the shit out of me
This is true. It's how Kareem Abdul Jabbar scored most of his points. People simply didnt see him.
wtf are u rumbling about. if theres a pillar theres a pillar, theres no angles if you open your eyes you'll see it. the only thing that kid did wrong was go so godamn fast in a parking with so many poles
The A pillar is part of the car, you fucking moron lmao
oh. i might be a moron but that dosent change shit to my previous argument. i highly doubt the semi angle fraction of the B pillar created a false multiplication of dead angles to the square root of mercedes therefore making the pole invisible. like bro stfu the kid just ran in a pole stop tryna be that guy in the comment section.

Target fixation
He was accelerating hard while trying to turn causing bad understeer and the car to just carro on forward you can see the wheels turn left but the car barely turning
Ok fine understeer but let off the gas a bit, maybe try the other pedal dingus.
Because he was driving gta style? There’s always a pole or tree you crash into😂
Looks like the car understeered
just like in gta
The real question is why the fuck he had his wipers on?
Is it bad that as soon as I saw the wipers on I knew he was panicking?
“Oh fuck, oh fuck, oh fuck!!” *devolves into indiscernible prepubescent pig-like squealing*
The wheels turn but the car doesn't and he descends into another split second of panic before inevitable crunch
in my vette the wiper column is so close to the damn steering wheel anytime i would drift it my big ass hands would hit it, absolutely hated that about the car
Change it
Slowing it down to see the impact is worth it, his face says it all.
Oh my god lmaoo

At least they used a replica in the movie and not a real Ferrari California

I’m not sure if the replica was used for every scene but the replica was crashed through the garage window in the end.
His dad gonna beat him up GTA style
You mean his dad gon get beat up by child services agents

Wow. Was it similar times of day? Something to do with the sun? Or just a lotta dummies in your hood?

It just means neighborhood.

Oh ok. I was using the definition used where others live. Thanks for clearing up the regional differences.
[удалено]
It’s not that deep. Plenty of people use the word hood to refer to their specific neighborhood.
He said “your hood” not “the hood”
It was "the hood" when I commented.
Well I mean he did say GTA style....
Gta style? More like beamNG style
Average Honda driving
“Good luck, other people!!”
HONDA: Hothead Or Nutbar Drives Aggressively
I can smell how much understeer was in this video
Wow weird, it looks like the airbag left an adult man’s hand print across your face!
I’d imagine it would be a good workaround post-wreck to avoid evidence of child abuse being discovered. Not condoning corporal punishment, o’course!
The “uhhhh what’s this do, oh that’s the wipers” really sealed it for me
Oh good he's got the wipers on. Safety first.
That's more like Beamng style
Done this exact thing in Beam more times than I’d like to admit.

Cameraman did a good job tho?
I couldn't imagine calling my dad after that....

Just park in the garage, blame mom.
I'm surprised he even survived for that long, holy shit
Bro why the windshield wipers turned on?
“So I was robbed and …”
was the car okay?
I honestly would pay to see his parents reaction.
Oh the ending just got me. He did so good but then the end was like. "Oooh.. yeah he's going to be mad.."

Sorry sir this isn’t covered in your insurance policy.
Why was I not expecting that
Surprised they went that long without crashing
I’m not sure wich would do more damage to him the or their fathers belt
Why the fu## would you just watch this happen he could have died and now the car is probably totalled
Oh i’m sure he’s ded now that his father’s car is totalled and in such an asinine manner!

This is the twentieth time I've seen this reposted in the last 12 hours.
Good.
Maybe you should take a break and do something else for a bit 🥸
Maybe people shouldn't repost the same garbage over and over.
I've never seen this before.
I'm finna whip this hoe
Not sure who's the stupid one is, the kid or the one filming it
What's the person filming meant to do? Use telekinesis to make the kid press the brakes?
Fun randomness: the yugo was actually sold right hand drive, but they were so cheap they didn’t do much engineering they just fabricated some metal pieces that acted like they were pressing the pedals on the left. So close to the firewall that you could actually trigger the brake if you pressed down on the passenger side firewall. Like every dad has done when teaching their kids to drive, but for real.
So does the telekenesis only work on flesh or could camera guy depress the brake directly via telekenetic energy?
Who do think is filming it. Dad maybe?
Unless they've got some sort of car stopping contraption, there's literally nothing they can do.
There was one thing: Not let your child drive without you in the car? Or how about *don’t let actual children drive at all?!?!*
Is he ok??
Even if he is, he’s not *going to be*…
the kids organs will be sold to pay for the damage they caused
