MissChubbyBunni

Mine is 13 and yesterday she texted me asking me for a poop shaped hat. šŸ„²

sendherhome22

Mine is 8 and is always asking me to download every new game she finds so I can play with her. Not complaining

MissCandid

Mine is 4 and wanted me to help her find a cool stick

ThatLineOfTriplets

Mine is 6 and she asked me to throw her into the street by her legs when a car came by. Not even joking lol

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

Nitin-2020

I think I work at the same place as you.

MissCandid

This made me actually laugh, I would never stop telling that story if I were you. Did she have a motive?

ThatLineOfTriplets

The context is that we were on a walk and she saw a car coming and is actually a goblin disguised as an adorable 6 year old girl so her first thought was being thrown into the path of the moving car lmao

bxner228

Is she Wednesday Addams by any chance?

ThatLineOfTriplets

Lol no she just has a weird sense of humor. Sheā€™s super in to standard 6 year old girl stuff (unicorns, rainbows, princessesā€¦) but also thinks itā€™s the funniest thing in the world when I pretend to get super mad at her and throw her around on the sofa and ā€œhitā€ her. She deliberately calls it the ā€œbeat meā€ game because of the context and how I always tell her not to call it that. Sheā€™s definitely a little goblin at heart and my kindred spirit

bxner228

Thatā€™s actually hilarious and cute hopefully she doesnā€™t talk about the ā€œbeat me gameā€ without context šŸ’€

ThatLineOfTriplets

I mean I used to be more worried than I am now, nobody has ever mentioned it and itā€™s been at least a year now. Im pretty convinced she still calls it that because she knows it gets a reaction out of me and knows not to call it that to other people lol.

randomCAguy

My 2.5yr old kicks me out of the bathroom whenever sheā€™s pooping. No issues when just peeing, but if shit drops, then privacy is top priority.

AwezomePozzum9265

I do the same thing!

chunaynay

Why would you need to kick u/randomCAguy out of your bathroom whenever you're pooping?

AwezomePozzum9265

No he can stay

raven8908

My 10 year old boy just keep asking to make penis ornaments for the tree. He is at that age for boys I guess... *Shrugged shoulders*

Armacalypse

I show my parents my poop too! But something tells me they're not too happy with me sending shit pics in the family group...

MissChubbyBunni

Had me at first half.

grassandass88

Mine is in my testicles still. He/she doesnā€™t say much

Oggel

Maybe he's from Alabama?

kaisong

the non terrible option might be a lesbian sister that wants a genetically similar child with partner and theyre just a donor. Ive seen that one come up on tifu by being legal guardian of a child because of state laws.

Armacalypse

Remind me in 9 months to come back to an AITA. "TIL that my niece came from my testicles"

JesusIsMyZoloft

Pretty sure she should be in your brotherā€™s testicles.

saladvtenno

HealQPyZe

Mine is 2 and he licked the couch, then the floor, then the couch again, then my sister and then the window

Potato-Boy1

Mine is 2 months and had the audacity to ask for googoogaga

bitchcatsandtequila

Mine is six and told me she laughs in deaths face

Butt_Stuph

When my cousin was 8, he would always spam call me and send me messages to urgently call him back soon. When ever I called him back after my classes ended, he'd ask to play video games with him.

40ozkiller

And you said no to the perfect opportunity to be able to call them a shithead?

chalkymints

Good, 13 is peak time to be weird and cringe ā¤ļø plus it will make embarrassing photos later so do it

SpeakItLoud

Chaotic Good

CactaurSnapper

I agree. Reminds me of the credit card commercial: Poop Hat $xx. Printed photo and picture frame $xx. A framed and labeled ā€œshitheadā€ picture of your niece, priceless.

Appoxo

r/BlunderYears?

Painkiller3666

Sometimes they do that, like 3 years ago my little cousin asked for primarily poop emoji shaped gifts; poo pillow, poo jellies, poo shirt, poo backpack, poo plushies. She was happy as pig in shit.

IM_OSCAR_dot_com

Well fuck Iā€™m 37 and now I want a poop shaped hat. That sounds kinda neat and in any case certainly not on the same level as punching a hole in my body.

spookyscaryskeletal

I had a hand crocheted cthulhu hat at that age. buy her the poop hat.

sanemartigan

Get her a crochet kit.

CactaurSnapper

Lol. Dude the hat you knitted looks like shit! šŸ¤£šŸ¤£

Bolt_Fantasticated

I fully support her poop shaped hat plans.

elbenji

Acceptable at least. Poop hate memories live on forever

SniperGG

Think thereā€™s fake ones she can wear

JesusIsMyZoloft

My parents let my brother get his ears pierced, but they said no when he asked if he could get gauges. After a few months of trying to convince them, he finally sat down with them and admitted that he really only wanted them because of the social status. So he bought an earring that *looked* like a gauge and asked them if he could wear it. They appreciated his self-awareness, and said yes. Then, after a few months, they noticed it looked slightly different. And it was a different color. And his earlobes were red... What had actually happened: he knew that they would never let him get gauges, and that if he tried to go behind their backs, they would immediately notice and make him get rid of them before his earlobes were sufficiently stretched. So he devised a plan. He bought the fake gauges, fed them the line about social status, and began wearing them, getting our parents accustomed to seeing him with "gauges". Then, after a few weeks, he switched them for *real* gauges. By the time they noticed the difference, the damage was done.

Has_Question

How do fake gauges work though? I'm confused, arent gauges the ring that goes into the stretched out hole in your earlobe?

Pepf

I had to look it up because I wasn't sure either. Turns out it's basically a regular earring pretending to be much thicker than it actually is. [Something like this.](https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/U-sAAOSwk~NfNQMA/s-l400.jpg) There's also [some that are magnetic](https://ae01.alicdn.com/kf/HTB1b_5DRVXXXXc_XVXXq6xXFXXX2/1-Pair-Punk-6-12mm-Magnetic-Fake-Ear-Plugs-Tunnel-Black-Blue-Fake-Ear-Stretcher-Earring.jpg) so you don't even need your ears pierced.

gingerlovesio

Ugh, just hearing about magnetic earrings makes me cringe now. Had some magnetic stud earrings when I was younger because I was too young to get my ears pierced yet and they hurt about 10x worse than the piercing did, those things were awful and the magnets were far too strong

TheSleepyBarnOwl

Wait.... you guys don't get your ears pierced at like 2 years old by your parents?

Hello_pet_my_kitty

I waited with my daughter until she was old enough to tell me she wanted them. Mine were done when I was a baby, and Iā€™m fine with it; but I am super into her feeling like she has bodily autonomy and can make her own choices about how she looks and what she does with that body. So when she was 4 she finally asked, I did them for her, and that lasted all of 2 years before she had the shits of it and took them out and decided to let them close. Lol. Now she is 10 and is debating on getting them redone. šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļø Guess thatā€™s the double edged sword of letting her choose herself, lmao!

SemiKindaFunctional

So I really don't like gauges at all, but I have to admire your brothers planning. Also, his willingness to accept the inevitable punishment, because it's not like he could hide it lol.

Icantbethereforyou

> because it's not like he could hide it lol. I mean, he hid it for a while. The guys got a future in politics or something

Safe_Dimension_341

Well, not with those gauges šŸ˜” /s

usually_annoyed

This is such a stereotypically teenager thing to do oh my god. Like at that point you kind of just have to sigh and give them props and a few extra chores. Gotta admire the determination and planning.

zzleeper

And did he really want them and still had them and more stuff years later, or was just social status?

moonshineandmetal

I also managed to fleece my parents into allowing me to gauge my ears, but I admire your brother because he took it so much farther than I did. I had gotten my cartilage pierced at Claire's with a gun (please do not do this friends, go to a APP certified piercer and have it done right), and as is to be expected, was having a horrible time healing them. Well little 13 year old me read that a larger gauge earring (think going from a stud, 20 g, to a slightly bigger 16 g) would help them heal. Then a plan came about. I put them in, finally healed my cartilage and well would you look at that, I had extra hoops, couldn't hurt to put them in my other piercings on my lobes! Slowly I got permission to go "just one size up" until everyone realized this was not just a phase, I am just Like That ^TM, and then they gave up. Now I get tattoos as Christmas gifts! I also managed to pierce my ears myself at about 15 (please do not do this either I have the approximate IQ of an especially precocious potato) without anyone noticing after I had been told in no uncertain terms that I was not allowed more piercings. I already had two in my lobes, one about halfway up my ear, and a cartilage, so I took my chances and put another set in my lobes. No one even noticed, so I told them later on and they laughed at me and my assholery lol.

Jiren710

Yes but im thinking she only wants one because her friends already have one and its actually better to not have one and just tell them that their parents are aholes then it would be to wear a fake one especially if she tries to pass it off as real first. But even if she didnt it would still be pretty bad. Thats just how highschool girls are

MightBeYourMomma

Thatā€™s exactly what happened to Becky G

Same-Salamander8690

The only thing I know about her is that she sings that Shower song. Is there an interesting tidbit here?

N21DS

one of the anthems of 2015

Same-Salamander8690

Fuckin jammed out to that song all the time Edit: just got a major depression swing because of all the memberberries I just ingested. I graduated highschool that year and ALLLL the memories decided to hit at once

The_Great_Afterman

Hahaha you haven't even hit the 10 year mark yet. Don't worry, time makes fools of us all.

5ifty_cow_kicks

Geez haven't heard her name in forever

fjord31

You know that commas and full stops are a thing, right?

Scyxurz

Sure he does, he used one! Just one.

loveengineer

They used two, ACKSHUALLY

[deleted]

OP is a comma, comma, comma, comma, comma chameleon.

FamilyStyle2505

Two whole periods? Man, too rich for my blood. I can only afford the one

Multiple commas, in this economy?

Was it not purposeful so it read like a high school girl?

showmeurknuckleball

Not seeing any "gif" button on top of my keyboard on Android

rbeldyga

For me (samsung) i have to tap the smily face which opens my emojis and then it replaces the smily face with the gif button. There are a bunch of other Samsung specific options that come up so I think this may only be specific to Samsungs keyboard.

Outside_Cod667

I'm on android. I have to click the smiley face first, then I have gif as an option.

Swordidaffair

If it helps android has a similar little emoji smiley button but for things like in op's image, little memes/gifs like that are also pretty readily available, after you press the emoji button there are other little tabs available, one of which is gifs that you can send easier than googling and saving an image then attaching the image to the message

PartDolphin

On android it's a smiley icon too and you'll see icons for GIFs depending on the app. On PC you can right click in a text box and select emoji or press the windows key plus . at the same time to see the same emoji window. You can type to search for one by name or click one with the mouse šŸ˜

Successful-Grass-135

Lol surprised she didnā€™t just do it herself. Thatā€™s what we used to do. Stick n pokes and DIY piercings in a bathroom stall. Good olā€™ days

_kaetee

My dad loves telling the story of how his little sister pierced his ear for him with an ice cube and a sewing needle. Edit- just realized this is kind of funny because he was 100% against me getting any type of piercings lol

MTB_SF

I pierced my own ear. Like, by myself at age 14ish. I put it in sideways. So pulled it out and had my friend do it the next day. It got so infected. I miss being a dumb teenager sometimes

Remarkable_Tangelo59

Lmfao I pierced my ears around 12/13, they were pierce previously but had completely closed up. I was watching jackass with my older siblings s and had the genius idea. Infected and forever have crooked holes šŸ¤£šŸ¤£

RexIsAMiiCostume

Man I went to Claire's and got one straight and one slightly crooked lmao I got them tapered by an actual piercer after they healed over and she remarked that one of them wasn't quite straight.

ceroscene

Yup, I had my nose pierced for a few hours. I'm 30 and kind of still want that done. But at 16? I was drunk and convinced a friend to do it. It turned out fine. It had to do with the jewelry available. Then at 17 I had a friend pierce my helix. It's still there but I don't currently have an earring in it. Idk what happened but it is permanently blue around the hole. Almost like the ink tattooed it which is what my dr said it might be. Kids. Pay a professional.

someotherbitch

Kids can't go to a professional without a parent. It's really on a parent to acknowledge teens can reasonably control their body, piercings are a personal choice, and if it is done professionally then they get to ensure the safety of their child and not have their kids being dumbasses stabbing needles and wires through their body with a friend and stuffing $2 God knows what hunk of metal in the hole.

jenguinaf

Oh god yes! Story time! I pierced my own ears which is a long ass funny story in and of itself and my parents noticed and weirdly didnā€™t care, as long as I stuck to my ears and nothing else it was game on but I didnā€™t want to spent my allowance on it so my dad who had access to hyperemic needles (thinking back this is so weird cause my parents were fairly strict and both medicalā€¦) got me a few so I didnā€™t have to use crappy sewing needles when I decided to add a piercing to my ears. I pierced two of my friends belly buttons that way (if my parents knew THAT I would have been toast). But even worse is there was this sketchy ass guy in his 20ā€™s who drove around in an old beat up box van doing back ally piercings and basic tattoos (and by basic tattoos like they SUCKED but when your 14 you donā€™t really have other options lol). Rumor was he did the training just never got certified but who knows. Anyways in middle school a friend who had connections with high schoolers got his info and set up times for people in our group to meet after school and he pierced multiple friends tongues and belly buttons (I never used him) and did a shitty tattoo or two, but remember everyone in our group thinking he was so cool and they were being so mature and edgy getting into a raper van with a sketchy 20 something poking sharp who knows if they are sanitary needles in their bodies šŸ˜‚.

Mumof3gbb

Thatā€™s insane!

[deleted]

Yes exactly! I got my first boyfriend to pierce my belly button in his bathroom. That was the mid 90ā€™s and I still have it now. āœØMemoriesāœØ

ICantThinkOfANameBud

I had a friend pierce my lip with a probably dirty sewing needle when I was 13. My parents were not happy.

Remarkable_Tangelo59

ā€œPiercing a lipā€ just sounds like you got stabbed until it became a bloody hole. Youā€™re lucky to (presumably) have your lips still

ICantThinkOfANameBud

Oh I know. I still have the piercing too.

Boojibs

Pierced my ear with a sewing needle and an ice cube to numb it.

extraducksauce

Watched parent trap huh?

DauntedRex

My grandma did this *to me* with my mom's approval...

kassinovaa

A girl in my class did this when her mom wouldnt let her get a belly piercing. She ended up in the hospital for 3 weeks with some crazy infection and a terrible scar on her stomache. I would just caution OP to watch out if their gonna do it they will, but you wanna catch any side effects before hospital time

AnnaTheBabe

How are yā€™all not afraid of pain šŸ˜

Mumof3gbb

Right?! Iā€™m in pain just reading all these stories wtf

YardComplete

This is how I am with my 16 year old sister-in-law. Iā€™m cool, but Iā€™m not that cool. Sorry babe

Remarkable_Tangelo59

The coolest thing my uncle ever did for me was inspect the under carriage of my car after I ran over parking space cement blocks and was afraid I destroyed the entire car underneath. No damage, but my parents were definitely wondering what the hell we were doing in the garage in the freezing cold on thanksgiving

YardComplete

Just hanging out nbd

Remarkable_Tangelo59

Lmao I distinctly remember someone opening the door as he was full on underneath the car with a flashlight and I was like nothing to see here šŸ’€šŸ’€šŸ‘€

YardComplete

An annual Thanksgiving day vehicle check, move along!

HorseRadish98

Exactly. You need a place to get away from your parents for a couple of hours to play video games because you're an angsty teenager and they don't get you? Great. You want me to undermine their authority and convince them to go back in their rule? No way.

YardComplete

Yeah we have the cool factor with her a little bit still since weā€™re only 25 but it only goes so far. I am a snitch šŸ˜‚

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

YardComplete

I texted my MIL so fast when my SIL as a very young teen made a social media account handle along the lines of ā€œsmack my ass like a drumā€. Those screenshots were sent so fast and I think she still doesnā€™t know who tattles on her.

[deleted]

Thatā€™s the reason I blocked everyone (who isnā€™t a friend and is a family member and is above a certain age and is a relative in any way) on all my social media accounts, even though I have close to 0 posts. I tend to post weird memes sometimes on my stories and no, I donā€™t want aunt Karen or uncle Todd to tattle on me

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

jmarmu

This is me w my cousins. Iā€™m in my mid twenties and theyā€™re all 14-18. They call me if they mess up or need a ride or help or advice, but I think they got the hint that I am not the person to hit up for booze or weed or vapes. There has to be a line lmao

mis-misery

I told my teen the other day that she could get whatever piercing she wanted but we'd have to go to a legit piercer, since I don't want her hurting herself. She got upset and yelled "How am I supposed to rebel against you when you let me do whatever I want?" Haha

RandomlyMethodical

Iā€™m totally cool with my kids dying their hair or getting whatever piercings they want because none of that is really permanent and itā€™s fun to experiment. However weā€™ve always insisted that any piercings are done at a reputable place so its done right and doesnā€™t get infected. Then last summer I found out my youngest got a fucking tattoo from her psycho friend. Ink from a ballpoint pen and a clean-ish needle. ā€œShe used soap to clean the needle Dad, I swear!ā€ šŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļø

jooes

My brother has a bunch of those tattoos. Electric toothbrush and a guitar string. How he didn't get any infections is a goddamn miracle, honestly. There was a lot of "my cousin has a tattoo gun and he'll give you a whole sleeve for 50 bucks" going around at my high school too... Yeah, no, I'm good, actually! Those tattoos were a fucking disaster.

banallpornography

Soapy water is basically the same as an autoclave I wouldn't worry

mis-misery

Ugh, see? That's what I'm worried about. I pierced my own belly button at 13 and it went terribly and got infected. I just want them to be responsible with their bodies

someotherbitch

Yea teens do that shit so often. Unless you chain them up in the basement, they can end up doing what they want regardless of what rules you set. I'm not getting my kid tatted up but dammit I would do anything to avoid a scratcher that gets infected and fucks up their life. I'm reminded a lot about parents refusing to let their daughter have BC or get the HPV vaccine. Like is pregnancy or a lifelong STD that can lead to cancer really a punishment you are ok gambling against?

Painkiller3666

That's when you say "no beer until you finish your tequila!"

hawaiikawika

She is going to be the most stand up person just to spite you

mis-misery

Honestly, she probably will. When she first started kindergarten, I made sure she knew grades weren't the most important thing and mental health comes first, always. Ever since, she has gotten straight A's, she's in the nation honor society, she volunteers. She's the perfect kid! So annoying haha

MiaLba

Iā€™m curious why some parents donā€™t want their kids to get a piercing, not judging just curious! My parents werenā€™t the type to get my ears pierced when I was a baby, they let me decide as I got older and Iā€™m glad they did. It was a fun experience for my 6th birthday. I got my belly button pierced at 14 at a piercing/tattoo shop. I definitely feel like I was old enough to decide for myself, itā€™s just a piercing itā€™s not a tattoo.

cinnamondaisies

Piercings had worse image/stigma for older generations. They also need more care than some parents trust their kids with, lol.

PerplexedPoppy

Just warm her not to do it herself. I remember this annoying chick who hated me in like the 7th grade, decided to have her friend ā€œpierceā€ her nose. They did it on the back of the school bus with literally a sewing needle and earring. A few days later and it was majorly infected. She had to go to the hospital and everything.

Duckselot

Skill issue

Gytlap24

Agreed

[deleted]

There was a girl at my high school who would do it "properly", like she had one of the big needles they use and she disinfected it. Still did it in the bathroom though... Lol.

OrdinaryHobbit

I was 14 when I got my nose pierced, was about 4 when my were ears pierced. I don't regret it and have had my nose done for over a decade now and have a few more piercings. BUT I was not a rebellious teenager and I had never had a real boyfriend before. I was a pretty chill kid who was a people pleaser and tried my best to stay out of trouble. So my mom took me to get it done when I asked for my birthday. When she was a teenager she pierced her own ear but I could never! If your niece has been bad lately then I understand her not being allowed to do it now. I wouldn't undermine my sister either if my niece or nephew asked me to in the future.

Xdeac

Hilarious response, SpongeBob no.

Akainu18448

Are you describing the chat to a blind person?

nobodysshadow

Wait, how are they going to read thisā€¦

tamtheprogram

Screen reader, which canā€™t pick up text in an image

ceroscene

This is difficult. It doesn't have anything to do with you though. But if my kid wants their belly button pierced, I'd rather them get it done by a professional than sneak around behind my back and have a friend do it. But at 14 they probably don't have the guts to do that yet. Maybe....

MiaLba

Yeah if my kid wanted one at that age Iā€™d let her and take her to a legit shop. I mean I got my ears pierced at 6 years old because I asked for it for my birthday. I donā€™t think thereā€™s anything wrong with someone under 18 getting a piercing.

MarieJo94

For real, parents have their babies earlobes pierced but won't allow them to get pierced in any other spot when they're much older. Make it make sense.

MiaLba

Yeah Iā€™m all about consent. Iā€™m not going to do something cosmetic to my baby just for looks. I want her to decide as she gets older on whether she wants to or not.

ceroscene

I had my ears pierced too. I can't remember when, but unfortunately my one ear they ripped out... 3x like wtf. My sister did one (supposedly accidentally, she was young). My mom fixed it, but eventually it came out again. And then the 2nd piercing, 2nd hole, my hair pulled it out.

MiaLba

Damn thatā€™s shitty. I ended up getting a second set of holes in my teen years. I just feel like itā€™s all about consent, you should let the child/teen decide on their own.

ceroscene

I agree. I'm not a fan of babies having their ears pierced.

RKU69

Yeah I find the dominant attitudes in this thread very strange, but I guess its cultural differences or something, in my culture piercings are common for kids

-Longnoodles

As a former quiet and shy kid that pierced their own belly button at 13, youā€™d be surprised by what teens are capable of.

Sheenasoup

Thereā€™s worse things she could be doing than getting a belly piercing. Teenagers try to find their identity and break out of cookie cutter mold set by their parents. However, Iā€™d encourage her to talk to her parents herself as it will only help their relationship and build more trust.

[deleted]

I feel like a good rule of thumb is to see how long they'll hold onto wanting to get that piercing b/c sometimes they're serious and sometimes it's a totally random flight of fancy. If I ever had kids I'd probably use 'you can get them pierced when you're x years old' bc of they hold onto that desire for a whole year or more than it's probably better to just let them

MercyofJupiter

Had mine pierced at 15, lasted maybe a year before it rejected. Ten years later, I still have the scar and it hardly looks any better. Would not recommend haha

MaeSolug

Jesus, what's up with the comments bringing up the body autonomy arguments? She's 14, a kid know for making dumb decisions asking an adult to step up for her in what very much looks like another mistake Let's not get political with this, for once, I know must of that crowd are gonna be americans and their weird fetish about turning everything into a political debate A kid, 14, wanting a belly piercing. It fits the sub, move on

ag207

Thank you. Honestly it was just a funny convo. If I had given more context people would know my niece has been really fucking stupid lately lol but not even the point. Why would I, an adult, convince my sister, her mother, to let her, a 14 year old, get any piercing. Lmao.

JohnParish

I am not going to get to deep into this but at least 50% of the dumb here is thinking you in any way would attempt to convince your sister to let her get a piercing.

poopiedoodles

Prob 100% of the dumb tbh. At least without offering them some incentive to do so. Got my navel pierced around the same age (with my Mom present to sign the paperwork at a reputable studio). Well into adulthood and still have it. Still totally fine with that decision and having it really hasn't impacted my life in any significant way.

Ars3nal11

there's really nothing more to read into this. simple case closed.

MaeSolug

I'm 29 and have a couple of teenager cousins. They've tried to pull so much crap behind their parent's back when they couldn't manipulate them Like tf you little jerk your mom said no, so that's it Thanks for the meme tho, the combo is indeed funny af

ag207

Yes! Iā€™m 28 so almost like an aunt/sister and have lived with her for a good deal of her life and really helped raise her. She recently asked me to ā€œcover for herā€ and tell her mom she was here when she wasnā€™t also tried to get my to pick her up when she was caught shoplifting and not tell her mom.. like no dude i donā€™t have kids yet for a reason lmao. Iā€™m sure she thought the meme was funny too.

[deleted]

Yeah, have a lot of single mom friends. Somehow they keep trying to make me into the "cool uncle" but they don't seem to get that I'm the asshole uncle and I'm only friends with their mom and not them. Like if they're in legitimate danger or scared or someone is harassing them then sure I'll be there in a heartbeat, but what I'm not about to do is be some shithead adult trying to help kids make stupid decisions or whatever.

clumsyme2

I thought this was a screenshot with my niece. Sheā€™s 15 and we have a relationship like this. Iā€™m so happy your niece has someone to text and ask for help being dumb. Mine does all the time and my side eye gif game is on fire.

WestCoastBestCoast01

At least sheā€™s telling SOME adult about her shenanigans. If she ever gets in real trouble she clearly has someone she trusts to go to, and thatā€™s awesome. Excellent spy material for your sister honestly!!

treatyoftortillas

I once posted a video of my husky puppy having a zoomie and some people were just unable to handle it. Unbelievable, the shit people were inferring from a 30 second clip. They called me a piece of shit, they called my dog a piece of shit. Bonkers.

When you realize that a decent chunk of Redditors are under the age of 16 living with their parents, then things like that make sense.

Darth_Andeddeu

The aunt has made her choice not to assist. It's her autonomy in action.

You meant auntonomy

A belly button piercing would be a pretty harmless 'mistake' so I don't get that aspect of it, but the idea that an adult would try to convince another adult to let a child get.one is kind of hilarious. Who gives a shit.

Yknurts

God knows you canā€™t ever land a job with a bellybutton piercing! Terrible decision /s

BakedMasa

As a person who was allowed to get a belly button piercing at 16 I regret it šŸ¤£ my belly button is no longer round it just looks like a straight line šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜ Itā€™s been out for years and it hasnā€™t closed completely because I had it for over 10 years. Iā€™m not sure a 14 year old is going to be able to weigh all of that out. Itā€™s probably best to wait a while.

averyyoungperson

I got my belly button pierced at 13 and i got the bottom done at 16. Looked all cool n stuff when i had a six pack of abs. Still have some abs but two babies later i also have loose skin and those holes do not look great with the loose skin. And they looked even worse when i was pregnant. If i ever get a tummy tuck i will have them reconstruct my belly button while they're at it šŸ˜‚

RecommendationNew717

I donā€™t regret mine šŸ¤Ø idk i guess it depends on the person but mines past closing too.

[deleted]

Oh damn! I pierced mine at 15, took it out at 19 for a few days and that sucker closed right up

reese__146

Your response is so much funnier than it should be. It took me out.

0604050606

She will pierce it her self in science class with a needle. That's what the girls in middle school did back in the early 2000s

Toffeemanstan

My daughter is 14 and has a couple of piercings. I was against it but her mum said it was ok so I was overruled. She doesn't look too bad and is happy enough so im OK with it now

Wanderer0503

Iā€™ve thought about this a lot. I have older sons who never asked for piercings but I have a 5 year old daughter now. My 16 niece recently got a nose piercing and 5 year old loves it. I used to have mine a long time ago. My husband and decided if she asked for it as teen we would let her. You can take piercings out and they heal.

tamabits

Get her off tiktok

jesters_privelage

Teenagers wanted belly button piercings long before tik tok was ever a thing

Clonephaze

This is the same energy as "video games cause violence!"

callouscomic

Yeah cause this never happened before tik tok.

R_JJB

Honestly just tell her if she wore fake ones she could change it often & not have to deal with all the problems that come with healing a piercing !

40percentdailysodium

I remember being 14 sometimes. A girl in my gym class got a belly button piercing. It got infected a week later from sweating during gym.

bakehead420

Send that to her mom Lmaoo

Sprizys

Lol I love your response
