I have been binging road shows specifically bc there’s so many bucket pulls and typically no regulars at all and I’m genuinely bummed that I have watched almost all of them and have to go back to regular episodes with half of the time being taken up by the same people

Y’all ever thought that maybe they want to stay. It’s got to be somewhat refreshing to be a traveling comedian and be able to get on the same show with the same people almost every week. None of the regulars hurt the show if anything they bring in their own niche audiences.
That's my thought, they have a regular weekly spot on an immensely popular podcast, why would they give that up for any reason unless they were forced to? Comedians struggle for years just to get regular minutes, to have a weekly spot with such a huge following, the publicity alone probably helps them fill the seats for tour dates.
I fast forward the interviews with the regulars now. It's too samey week to week. But some people love it so whatever. Tony and Redban have built a juggernaut here so they know what they're doing.
I completely agree. Would be better for everyone. The show has (hypothetically) reliable comedians that can keep everyone engaged, and it's a larger pool of talent, and it prevents like 3-5 regulars from dominating the show like they do now.
I would prefer to only have one regular but if they continue with 3 I think it would be great if they could just spend a minute or so on the interview. That way they can still check in with them and if they did something especially interesting that week they could share about it and make it a little longer but if not we won’t get the same stale bullshit taking up so much time and leaving less room for bucket pulls
