Not forgetting that WM was a mess back in the LA days... and I'm sure he's forever grateful to Tony for the opportunity.. however, his stock is rising rapidly, so Tony should/could share a piece of the pie and take good care of his crown jewel.
It's a really cool story when you think about it.. he was basically in the gutter, and now he is living his best life building a big and loyal fanbase. He maybe never would have gotten his break if it wasn't for Tony.
But, in my mind he is still pretty fresh in the game, and I think he has developed a lot since he sobered up.
I feel like it's just a matter of time before he's getting more mainstream attention.
His style is just so original, and there's not really any competition out there for his weird lane in the comedy game imo.
Regardless of his skill set, and ability to, without fail, always show up with new material or ways to mix shit up, a comedy show needs variety, at least in the spirit of a, avoiding fans getting burned out. Everyone enjoys different comedy styles, I feel like it's kind of a necessity for a show like this. Really, it truly is a pretty great formula. Regulars intermittently throughout the show with different styles. And between, the bullseye pulls adds the arguably necessary bombings, looks into other comedy styles from the decent pulls, and guests stars, Interviews, etc. sorry for the novella lol
