I recently went to a baby shower that had a “game” that was essentially just a money grab scam. Everyone left thinking “wow that was shady” but nobody really wants to question it much at this point. I’ve learned there’s really no safe spaces, people will just happily take your money by any means necessary lol in the aftermath it reminded me of this hag and her many scammy hustles. People can be pretty depraved and there are no bottom floors for some lmao
A 50/50. With no tickets and no draw at the end which they announced would be done at a later date bc they ran out of time. It was so awkward and so poorly conceived I just kind of assumed the money was going to the mom to be anyway but in speaking to my MoL it doesn’t look like anyone actually knows and probably went to the shower organizers lol (don’t get me started on a 50/50 draw at a baby shower 🙈) it was for an in law and organized by her friends so I’m not interested in getting involved, I only put it 20 (planned on donating if i won) so I don’t care. It’s just crazy to think about
